Everything looks sooo good! The Matterhorn macaroon looks right up my alley, I love coconut 😊 And I'm like Amy, I love those kind of sugary sweet iced coffee drinks 😅 So cool and interesting that they served corn cheese soup with the bulgogi grilled cheese! Corn cheese is actually a common side dish at restaurants here in Korea but it's not often served as a soup. It's literally mozzarella cheese melted over sweet corn and it's so gooey and melty and delicious! So someone at Disney did their homework about Korean food culture 👍
Disney always does an awesome job with their culture research. They usually send someone to experience it first hand and take copious notes. I wouldn't be surprised if they interviewed/paid a Korean chef about it.
Thank you for your informative videos! My fiance and I are visiting for the first time in two weeks and we have joked about bringing tupperware in to take our leftovers home since we want to try everything, so it made me feel much more normal to see you also packing away your food to take home, lol!
Yes! Do it. I had intended to bring a cooler pack with ice packs, but completely forgot it at home. Thankfully, nothing melted. The locker area is air conditioned and I just put all the treats in a bag I got from one of the stores for free.
@@SoCalDisneyDadThank you!! I didn't realize they had lockers until you mentioned it in this video. Total game changer. I appreciate the reassurance, thanks for the help!
The sandwich looks good, and the macaroon from Jolly Holiday. Bringing baggies so I can save for later for the treats. There some others I want to try too.
I had sandwich baggies all ready for this, then left them at home. 😭 Thankfully, I just asked for a bag from the store and all the treats come in individual packaging anyway
I love your channel. You’re very easy to watch and listen to in that macaroon that looks like the Matterhorn looks fantastic but I am a baker and although I’m not perfect, I’ve been taking forever and that Mickey back cooking is not a sugar cookie just so you know it’s a shortbread cookie which I don’t like although many people do but shortbread cookies have more of a flower ratio to butter and sugar ratio so there’s definitely more flour than there is sugar or butter in a shortbread cookie, which makes it less sweet and a little bit harder and sugar cookies actually have more butter and sugar then to flour ratio and that makes it sweeter and softer, which is why I like sugar cookies better but just so you know in case anybody else asked him it’s a short bread cookie and I always thought they tasted still in my opinion. That poison apple macaron now OMG I cannot wait to try it. I miss Southern California. I was born and raised in Simi Valley and unfortunately was moved to Sacramento. I wish I never left the area.
I saw the early release on Sunday when we were there. Hadn’t planned on going up today, but when I saw a bunch landing early, I made the switch from Friday to today. We’re 90 minutes south, so it’s not super duper close, but at this point I treat RUclips as a business and so I think of it as the same as a commute for people living in big cities. Not too bad when viewed from that perspective. I do it once, maybe twice a week like in this instance. Not every day like some people do for their jobs.
Loved this video and coming September 11th so great to see a preview of the Halloween treats. Definitely going to try that macaroon and that pecan caramel dessert.
I couldn't have eaten them all if I wanted to. 😂 But yes, I wanted to make sure I could take some stuff home because Amy, more than the kids, was bummed she couldn't come being a school day (she works at our kids' school).
Those treats look amazing. 🎃👻. We will be in the park next week, I will be sure to come and say Hi if I see you. Love your videos, they have given me lots of tips for our trip.
So is the Oogie boogie bash an event seperate than a regular reservation? Do you pay extra? And/or do they close the park early for the people are only doing the boogie bash. Sorry I'm confused lol.
Yes. Oogie Boogie is a paid night event. It’s like $139/person. Event guests get access to DCA at 3 PM. DCA closes at 6 PM for all non-event guests. I don’t remember how late it’s open for event guests, but at least 11 PM maybe? Perhaps later.
Do you happen to i know if they’re going to have the salsa roja sandwich this year at the jolly holiday? I didn’t see it on the foodie guide but I’m really hoping they bring it back!
It's not currently available for sale. That doesn't mean it won't get added to the menu when they switch it from Halloween to Christmas, though. They're always changing the menus across the park every couple of months.
Wow, everything looked so good! We are looking forward to trying the Poison Apple Macaroon & our daughter is looking forward to the Mickey Bat cookie. We were hoping to run into you guys on our trip but doesn’t seem like the days coincide. Thanks for all the info!!
Our long awaited return to the parks is coming at the end of September. Your videos have been a huge help with planning. Thanks for the sneak peek on fall treats!
I wish I could afford to go as much as you do. We are going tomorrow for the first time in 2 years. Was it crowded today? I'm hoping it will not be tomorrow 🤞
Annual passes are definitely expensive. More so than most other theme parks. We just renewed all four of us, and I upgraded Amy and the kids so it's even more expensive this year. Thankfully, we are able to do that because of how well the channel has been growing this year. It was gorgeous yesterday, and I imagine you'll have an excellent day today. Everyone is holding out until September 1st when Halloween officially kicks off.
Hard to say. Busier than today I would imagine. I think everyone is waiting for Halloween to start so I expect the next few days to be really low. Sept 5 is the first Oogie Boogie Night, and I remember it being pretty packed last year. But it’ll probably cool off a bit in the days following. Either way, I’m sure you’ll have a blast. Halloween time is the best.

I know for certain I'll be around Tiana's Palace around 11 AM for lunch on the 7th. Can't remember what park I start in on the 6th, but I have Oogie Boogie the night before, so I'll probably be sleeping in that next morning and won't get to the parks until lunch time.
This isn't food related by any means. I love watching all of your videos & think they're awesome! I really enjoy your videos too! I myself am physically disabled with Cerebral Palsy & can't walk very far & I was wondering if you could do a special video for people with disabilities & what rides they can go on & so forth. Where to get a scooter or wheelchair etc & the cost of them. I find very few bloggers do videos for disabled people and wondered if you'd be interested in doing one? LOVE LOVE your blog, it's awesome!!!
This has been a common request I've received, and the hard part is that I don't know anyone with a disability that I could go with to really experience it firsthand to be able to say. What I can tell you is that scooters are available for renting first come first served in the Esplanade. This building is located immediately to the right of the entrance gates if you're looking at Disneyland. From what I've read online, you can't take it out of the park, so if you want to use it to go back to your hotel, it's recommended you rent from a third party and have it delivered. You should also look into and apply for the DAS (Disability Access Service) pass. It's essentially a free Genie+ service that works even on non-Genie+ rides. So it's far BETTER than Genie+ and it's free. But you have to apply either ahead of time, or at Guest Services/City Hall when you arrive. I could absolutely put THIS information I just shared in a video, but it wouldn't be much more in-depth than what I just shared, unfortunately. Simply because I don't have first hand experience actually doing any of these things. Here's more info on DAS: disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/disability-access-service/
