- I'm back at OOGIE BOOGIE BASH at Disneyland for 2023. Oogie Boogie Bash is completely sold out for the season and runs select nights all season long from 6 PM to 11 PM. Guests can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00 PM on their Oogie Boogie Bash ticket.
At this event you'll find candy trails, exclusive rare characters, Villains Grove, and the Frightfully Fun Parade.

Do you know how crowded DCA is during the day when OBB is taking place? My family has 3 day tickets and our third day will be at DCA, but it will be an OBB day.

None of the villains are actually IN the villains grove. It’s just areas themed toward certain villains.

Someone told me you can use das for villains grove and rides if the wait is over 30 min? Not sure though
I don’t know. For rides, I assume it’s the same way. But I’m not sure how that works for Villains Grove.

Love the videos! Did you happen to see moon knight? My kid is obsessed and is really hoping to see him.
I saw him last year, but not this year. Doesn’t mean he isn’t around. He was a free roaming character and it’s possible I just wasn’t in the right place at the right time. Keep an eye out in Avengers Campus. That’s where I saw him last year.
Love this! Those timings are super helpful. Do you have any more Oogie Boogie pro-tips? Sounds like we'll be dumping a chunk of time into photo ops. Can you selfie with the villains on the treat trails?
You have maybe 10-30 seconds with characters on the treat trails. The cast members will keep the line moving. There are a few that are less popular, or rather we just came across them later at night when there were fewer people where we could just stand around with them and chat. It depends on how long the line is.
Biggest pro tip is to do the Villains Grove either during the first parade, immediately after, or during the second parade.

I have not, but I have seen them at events many times. I just haven’t spoken with them.
Going in September so getting my tips now! Online says no costumes for 14 and up?
@@Jackeeet No costumes for 14 and up in the regular theme park on regular days that aren’t OBB.
Costumes are allowed for OBB and other after hours events like Star Wars.
Also, no masks that fully cover the face for anyone over 14, even on after hours event days.

What stage? There are lots of stages. I’m confused?

Hi there I just wanna make sure that everybody knows who’s interested that there are Oogie boogie bash Dessert party reservations still available that there is a few left for October because you had mentioned there’s probably none left and I didn’t know if it was something you looked up but I actually looked into an earlier today and there are plenty of tickets available throughout October so there might even be some in September but I didn’t look at September so just in case anyone’s watching this just go to go look before they think that there’s a no reservations left for the Dessert party because there is

@@karenmelendrez7673 You know, I’m not sure. Because access to Genie+ is based on ticket. And that all depends on whether they allow an event ticket to have access to Genie+

Are you able to do villains grove during the parades and would the line be shorter? Was thinking we would watch the first parade & then do villains grove during the second parade..
Yes. You can, if you don’t care about the parades, the first parade is going to attract the most people. That’s when I would recommend doing it.
By the second parade, a lot of people have left already. The lines for everything are pretty empty.
If it’s just about going when there fewest people are there, then later is better, though.
30 minutes before park close it should be virtually a “walk on”
@@SoCalDisneyDad is it already dark when the first parade happens? We will have a 2 year old and 6 year old so not sure if they will make it until park closing 😅

I realize this video is older, so not sure you'll see this. I understand last year there was a dessert party for the parade. Does that mean there isn't a dessert party for WoC? Specifically someone in a group I'm in is asking about booking WoC Dessert Party for a non-OBB day, but the bookings seem to just stop after Sept 8, and CMs haven't been clear why, or if these might be posted later.
Oogie Boogie starts on August 25th, so OBB isn't the reason they aren't appearing. It's actually fairly typical for Disney not to have reservations up when they should be there. More will appear eventually. When is anybody's guess, unfortunately. Which makes it really hard to plan when to grab them. But this is very typical of them. This issue never happens at WDW, so I don't know why it's such a problem here.
@@SoCalDisneyDad thanks! I pointed out that the dessert party did carry on in August after OBB started, so that was a hopeful sign they just needed to wait it out. I recently went through a similar waiting game for the parade dining package but it just seemed to. Be not offered after middle of July for no reason I could see, so I felt for them. Thanks again for all your “on the ground” insight and expertise. I just pushed back my trip from Aug to Feb so going back to watch your videos from that time last year and now have 7 more months to keep watching and planning!
@@SoCalDisneyDad So, OBB might not be the reason, but looks like there was reason to fear this wasn’t timing, as WoC is now on the refurb calendar starting Sept 9. Interesting to see if you find any details about that or how long that lasts, if this isn’t a normal seasonal closure.
@@michellebiagini5660 They could be removing the ONE version of the show. And going back to the original version. World of Color ONE was the Disney100 version.
It is a bummer to see it on the calendar, but I still haven’t seen or heard anything about it.
But if it’s on the calendar now, then it’s a thing.
