I purchased two of these to replace my two klipsch ksw12s that were 19 years old and still going strong(I love these klipsch subs) but I've been updating my system ! When i purchased these i really thought i was being cheap as i just couldnt justify the price of the ultra 16s but damn i was wrong as these pb3000s are incredible and i honestly cant imagine the 16s as just cant imagine any more bass coming out!...lol!! Seriously once I got them placed and calibrated correctly my walls and everything in my house literally shook!!...I'm still smiling like a little school girl!!...lol!! I thought my klipsch were badass but boy was I wrong!!...my wife even likes them !! The bass from these is very clear and extremely punchy!!...there is no distortion whatsoever and I litterly couldnt take it and couldnt even turn the gain all the way as even halfway is ridiculous!! I probably could have just gone with the PB 2000s as they would probably have been more of a even replacement for my klipsch ksw12s but I'm extremely happy with these! If you have a chance to get these, please do you wont regret it!! Your neighbors will,but you wont!!....lol!!
Dang man! Great review. Im glad you are happy. People can hear me blab on and on about how great these are and maybe never get to check them out for themselves. Hopefully people realize that Im passionate and keep talking about these things because of how impressive they are. Super bowl is coming up so crank up the volume on those 3000s :)

Well i bought the SB3000 and its a beautiful crafted subwoofer. Very high quality. I tested it 3 days but as it had more detail it didnt outperform my PB1000 for movies so i keep the PB1000 and return the SB3000. But man what an eye candy is the SB3000

Why didn't you get the ported version in the first place?
crazy. maybe there was a problem in the settings or the amp? I have heard the 3000 Vs a 1000 and there is a notable difference. Not a small one by any means
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude i discussed it with Ed Mullen. The SB3000 and PB1000 have similair output in 20-25hz range. But above sb3000 pulls away
I'd love to hear these. I have 4 definitive tech super cube reference subs and for movies I've never heard/not heard and felt lower deeper bass in my life. But for music they just aren't that great. I also have a cheap little 12 inch 400 watt sub that sounds better for music than the 4 super cubes lol. The supercubes are either too overwhelming too underwhelming too slow or too boomy and constantly have to be chaged based on the source. My little cheap 12 just set it and sit back and listen to music and it's good to go on anything

I want 2 of these but they're so expensive. What gives? You can buy 2 PB-2000's for almost the same price. Why isn't it the same price as the sealed version? The rest of SVS's line cost the same wether it's sealed or ported.
I think since its part of their reference series of subs that the price goes up quite a bit for the ported ones. On their more modest subs i think its only a 100 bucks difference in price. The bigger subs weigh more (shipping) and cost more to make ( more wood) The price is a little more, but i think its worth it in the end. I bought my first svs sub blind. I only heard about their rep. I was seriously impressed after i got it setup
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Yeah i saw that the prices on their store reflect the boxes. Must just be where i buy my gear that ported and sealed cost the same. Every one in the US gets a good deal if purchasing 2 subs at one time.
thats just the way things are sometimes. BMW are pretty cheap in Germany. They go for big bucks brand new here.
Oh well, found me some better subs for the money. Rythmik FV15HP's or FV18's are what I'm going with since they're cheaper and out perform the PB-3000's.

nope my buddy. They running a single pb-3000 and it FILLS this huge showroom. The new voice coil design is really changing the game. Its more efficient and the sub goes loud and low effortlessly
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude SVS never ceases to amaze. The Ultras are incredible but the 3000 is going to give those higher dollar subs a lot of competition and as consumers, we win...! 😉

for real? I even changed microphones. My rode video pro + mic goes down below 20hz. Maybe since I was off axis? that doesnt really make sense since bass is none directional. I'll check it out. Thanks man

Im not so convinced with the 3000 series. Yesterday i asked tech support about the SB3000. If it was an upgrade for a PB1000 for movies. They didnt have a clue. The rep said it would perform almost the same as a sb2000. Omg.... what is happening at svs. CEA data is not even available. Nobody seems to know what output figures these subs have.
The have anechoic chamber output graphs on the website. go to whichever sub you want and click tech info. Looks like 101db @20hz.

nice middle sub there, still have my pb2000 but want to upgrade to the pb4000 what avr did they use? yamaha?
they used an integra avr w/ no external amps
it sound really good, im shopping for a new avr not sure yet i almost tryed it all but never integra, im gonna check it out !

Good vid, but i love my sealed subs and it has nothing to do with "too much base".
sealed are great too. I just havent shown a video of the ported yet.
