[I'm not really familiar with the franchise so I might be completely wrong but] What if the dragon transmits some kind of infection that attacks the brain? (The dragon itself most likely being immune) The infection causes a drastic change in behavior which can be interpreted as "beast like" with the medical knowledge they had in the time of Vikings. And because such infections can spread fairly fast, the dramatic talle was created to keep people away from the dragon and those who it had bitten at any cost.
Wow, very interesting theory, and could possible be true. We can't say for curtain as we don't know but about this dragon, but this is a great possiblilty. There is a fungus that can affect a ant, where it acts zombie like and tries to spread the fungus further! So yeh great idea.

Well, the wings could have been for the Titan Wings, and I agree that the Dragon Riders could have seen the Lycanwings, but never realized it. And the legend about the boy turning into a Lycanwing? It could have been the Lycanwing that ATE him, not the kid.
Possibly... I can't really remember what I said in the video lol
My guess is it has a poisonous bite that that can confuse and disorient the victims, as well as cause vivid hallucinations, which would lead to the victims thinking they turning into dragons and possibly hurting themselves. This would lead to the tales of lycanwing turning people into dragons.

Thx very much pal, but even though its not the best quality.
In the dragon eye you can see two diffrent shapes. Maybe its one is a transition form and the other one is the fully transformed. Maybe there are like male, female dragons. Or maybe one of them is a titanwing which wouldnt quite make sense because they look so diffrent
I do learn in the legends that dragons have metamorphosis so it is possible and then my theory the dragons would eat their victims I know where they live By theirs scent and I have many theories about this Dragon like maybe they just love the moonlight
