- One of the most asked questions I get is "do you have any tips for a beginner?" or "Can you make a video for someone who's new to this?" So I figured I would indulge all those curiosities and share with you a few tips which I think are useful to those who are starting out. I'll have way more information jam packed into tons of videos starting next year, so hopefully this can give you a taste of things to come. I literally hoard crystals, burn incense, have an altar, make moon water, have a bunch of tiny jars, steal herbs from the pantry, obsess over cool witchy things... I don’t think my mom and grandma know yet...

I have to work on my breathing anyway cause I get tired just from walking up for stairs. I don’t want people to hear me breathing so hard, sometimes it’s hard to catch my breath.
Side note: no I don’t have rona, I’ve been like this for a long time

Simple breathing exercises might help. But I don't think the noise level of breathing should be an issue for meditation. 🥰🥰🥰
YES! I just use an old makeup brush to put sigils with moon water on my wall :)

Regarding note-taking, I personally have found that just the act of writing something down helps me to remember it.

Um, so .. I have a couple questions. I've been doing research online a lot and I've been identifying the different types of witches, different spells, the elements, symbols, herbs, and crystals. I'm having issues with my deity, and I was hoping maybe you could help me figure out, or guide me in the correct direction. I personally am very connected with water, herbs, and nature. I've always been connected to it ever since I was a little girl. I always brushed it off as just some sort of weird feeling I couldn't control until a few years ago, when I really started to contimplate my spiritual abilities. I heavily believe in the zodiac signs, and astrology. My personal sign is a Pisces, and I'm always trying to connect myself with my sign. I meditate easily daily and it's still very hard for me to identify my deity, and what kind of witch I am. I'm drifting towards a water witch/sea witch, and eclectic witch. I'm just sort of confused. I'm also a broom closet witch because I'm nervous to come out to my parents about my spiritual connections. I'm afraid because I'm only 14 and I don't want them to tell me it's a phase and send me to some boarding school. I've been drifting towards Aphrodite and Yemaya, the Greek goddess and the Santerian goddess. I also have some questions about crystals. Is it true that your crystals have to be real to be magical? I can't find anything online about it. I would order a book on crystals but I don't want my parents to find it. I have a couple gemstone rings and I have a lot of herbs I could try and bless my crystals with. And..About the herbs, I was wondering if it was okay to store them in a plastic bag? I was gonna put them in a box with their labels on them, and then leave them in my closet till I actually need them. And I'm talking about basil, rosemary, and a lot of powders. I read some stuff online that powders were okay, but I'm kinda having second doubts. Please help me out! I would appreciate it if you could shed some light on those.
You don't necessarily need a title to be a witch, or to practice any form of magick; You can just be. Working with a deity doesn't happen quickly. A deity will provide themselves to you when they are willing to work with you, or when they think you are ready, or when they decide whatever their reason is for it. If you feel any sort of connections or "pull" then follow your intuition. Crystals do have to be real in order for their vibrations to work. They are made from minerals, and various earthly composites, which give each crystal a unique formation and an energy vibration. A glass or plastic "crystal" will not be effective. You can store herbs in any way you would like. Although if you are using them for cooking, teas, or eating. Some plastics can be harmful. Glass bottles are usually preferred, but anything will work. Hope this helps!

I studied in 2002 with friends the moved in 2003 so I haven't been practicing much. My late husband thought it was all hooy so that made thinks hard as well as his bad health. He passed July 10,2020 and it's taken a tool on me. He did all the financials and had onlt $2000.00 in life insurance so it's been tough,but things are turning around some.
So I am going to start over and I think my niece is going to check it out.

I was looking into my jar of crystals and I saw a turquoise crystal, my mom actually really like turquoise but I have never remember, buying, gifted, or finding any turquoise

A folder of shadows works great! And there's no rush to leaving your closet. Do it when you're comfortable. But also know there's a wonderful and supportive community of witches and practitioners out there (me included 😘)

What do you mean by meditating? How would you go about it? Listen to a RUclips video with meditation music? Specific steps?
meditation? i think you should just sit down in a comfortable quiet room and breathe in a certain pattern . make sure you’re comfortable and stay safe🦋!
That's definitely one way. There are a variety of ways one can meditate, the main goal is to still your mind and/or to bring mindfulness to your thoughts.
I'm starting my journey and this was really helpful 😊. I just told my parents two days ago and I'm so happy that they are going to support me 😊!! I was scared at first because we are Catholics and witchcraft is forbidden in my religion buy they were open minded and I won't be hiding it anymore! For now I will be learning the basics and starting a Grimoire to store information there 😄.

I’d also say not to take yourself too seriously. The development of really good intuition and powerful magic takes time. Much of that development Is learning to see the magic in everyday items and everywhere in life. It’s always been there, but we haven’t quieted our minds (meditation on and off the cushion) to see it. Much of mystical life is learned as we are developing those skills.
Use grounding to keep your practice in balance. It’s easy to get caught up in new found energies.
Always take the time to check to see if everything resonates and feels safe to continue.
Know you are always blessed and protected as long as you keep your intentions pure.
You hit all these things in your points really well, I just felt inspired to say it from a crones view for some reason. Hopefully it will help someone along their path at some point.

Awesome video! New subscriber, I am by no means a 'baby witch' but I am a bit lacking consistent practice for the last year because of major changes and a bit of displacement. I moved from San Diego, CA to Chapel Hill, NC, and because I moved just before the Covid outbreak I am now trying to 'get back into the swing of things' as best I can under the circumstances. I have decided to get back to basics and update my information since I have been a little out of the loop since January 2017 when I nearly died. I now have my illness managed and have steadily & extremely slowly have been healing. And here I am looking for a community, at least online since I am a 'High-risk" case, and see if This not-quite-middle-aged Lady can learn something new. Thank you.

How do I understand my emotions when I don’t understand human emotions in general?
I live with my grandparents and when I tell them I want to be a witch because I feel I have a connection with the dead. I see and talk to the dead. They think I’m demonic. But I can say I’m subscribing because you helped me keep a stronger bond with the people I talk to that are dead

There are a lot of abilities and paths a witch can take. Not all are commonly known. A lot of the work and knowledge comes with practice and study.

I am watching this because ever since i started getting into it , i've been getting very bad migraines (headache and nausea), and i go into lucid dreaming

Sometimes the body has strange responses when your consciousness opens up and you're becoming more sensitive to the energies around you. I would recommend to do some grounding and balancing on yourself, it might help 💜

Hecate has been a goddess I have always felt drawn too and been interested for over 10 years in her and was wondering can that be her calling me. I know things an I had a lot of paranormal experiences and even had a light come out of the sky and go into my chest right after I said she’s here meaning my dead aunt whose grave I was at. It was automatic. The light came down and stopped in mid air right next to me and me and granny were looking at it and then it went into my chest. I also made it rain on only me and see spirits and sense things and first time I called the goddess I saw bright red eyes. I just need to know if my interest in only Hecate means she’s calling me.....I’m intrigued with tarot and divination and love cemeteries ect. And my aunt who died at birth in 1952 who I never knew of came for me in dream to let me know she was born with a veil and there was a lot of red in it. I also helped my granny find a grave of her friend she was trying to find in 60 years and I walked through cemetery and talking to her dead friend and that night I had a dream of where her grave is and we found it....
It seems as though you have a strong connection with her. I don't work much with deities, but it does sound like she's calling to you.
@@ElenaEnchanted last night I asked Hecate is I am her daughter. This morning leaving for work a chickadee hopped all the way over to me. This bird came to me without fear and mom saw it and was amazed by it. Can that be something but I don’t know Hecate to be connected to chickadees.

I don't think age is a factor in studying or learning.
Have you ever casted a hex on someone who did you wrong??
I have never hexed or cursed someone in my 14 years of practice. I think those should be as an absolute last resort to rectifying a situation.

Thank you for your support in my channel ❤ I wouldn't consider a ouija board something you "play". I consider it to be a tool for divination and communication, a magical item which can create a bridge between worlds. If its not used correctly, the "bridge" can stay open and allow energies to pass through with or without your knowledge.

I have been a practitioner for over 14 years, not sure what you mean by "scared of it" I think all our thoughts and biases about witchcraft come from our background and the information we grew up with. I have a few lessons up on magick if you're curious to check them out. 😊

So the thing is i am an indian, not a Christian and i dont know if any of my family members are into witchcraft or something. But my great grandfather had some sort of powers. Like people used to come to him when they are injured or something like that. And he used to heal them. Not with any medicine or something , but he just touched the injured part and said something... and they got healed. I dont know how or i cant comprehend it. I dont know anything about witchcraft and i feel a pull towards this topic. Whenever i see the word witchcraft, my breathing gets uneven and my heartbeat accelarates and i keep searching about this topic. Its like someone is pulling me to search about it. And moreover i am only 12 not even a teen to have someone to support or guide me but am really interested in this topic. Please help me i dont know what to do.
