a tip for witches in the broom closet (I'm just a baby witch, but this has worked for me so far), if you are worried about not being able to get herbs, grow them. I have a mini planter made out of dowels and small buckets that I grow herbs in. I have always loved plants and nature, so it wasn't too suspicious and you can grow herbs for your craft and cooking (or both)

I did a ritual for a protection jar for the first time last night and it was exhilarating! I was really shakey and hungry afterwards but I heard that’s because I didn’t ground myself and used up a lot of my energy. I can’t wait do many more! Thank you for the tips.

im not a beginner witch (been practicing 15 years or so) but this video was so peaceful and brought back some of the magick I've been missing

@@silviasofiabruno3607 first thing I would suggest is to do your research on different practices. I am eclectic so I embrace different parts of practices that resonate with me. I've found that a lot of what I've learned a long the way has lead me to other subjects, which helps me to dig deeper. If you are into crystals I suggest the book The Crystal Bible and watch Hibiscus Moon she has amazing information and videos on the topic, she talks about the metaphysical and the science behind the stones...thats where I started when I first got into crystal healing. Also if you already have some crystals I suggest sitting in a comfy place and holding them in your hand, allow yourself to feel the energy of that crystal. How does it make you feel and how do you want to use it?

I like to use a binder, so that if I screw up or need to reorder things, I can just move around the paper or replace it :)

You should watch Molly Robert’s videos about grimoires! She talks a lot about how to get over the fear of messing it up and ideas of how you can fix it if you do.

Yes, it's called a 'practice' for a reason. The only way to get really good at anything is to practice and you really learn the most while practicing. Next time will be better. Experience is the best toolbox and you don't gain experience without practicing.

What a lovely doggie you've got! His/her presence reminds me that dogs are (so far) the main focus of my Reiki studies. I've done Reiki sessions for humans as well; but I have the most experience with dogs. Needless to say, animals tend to be more adept at perceiving and responding to energy therapy. This is not witchcraft, of course; but it's one avenue to learn alternative healing methods...

I would love to see a video on how you source your herbs/plants. I have a large property with lots of vegetation that I am slowly getting to know, and have house plants and a few indoor herbs, but I have a hard time with gardening/planting as the soil is hit or miss up here. I am making offerings to my goddesses and improving it as best I can, but I would love to know your advice and perspective on indoor and outdoor gardening, sourcing, propagating, etc.

Thank you so much for your video! I'm a beginner witch, been practicing for about five months now. I will definitely incorporate a few of your tips into my life. However you did mention a few times how visualization is one of the essential skills for witches spellcasting. I'm one of the people with a blind mind's eye (or aphantasia as some call it), and as a result cannot visualize, but I still have all the determination of learning more about the craft. Some of the witches I've spoken to are not aware of my way of being, but even still most I've spoken to say that I will still be able to navigate through the spiritual world without visualization, or effectively blind. I just may need to find my own path of understanding through feeling and intuition. While I do think it's an incredibly important tool, I don't believe it is essential.
I also have aphantasia. I’m just starting out and I’m curious to see how things will work without the ability to properly visualize.

The intention bit hits home. The first spell I tried was to to get this guy fishing out of the ocean. Like, a minute into the spell (just me humming with the intention of him getting out of the water), the water all down the beach and as far out as I could see was filled with ash. Most people got out of the water including the guy who was fishing. It freaked me out but after a minute or two everything returned to normal. I haven’t tried any big spells since then.

Spider mites won too many times, and finally destroyed my glorious English ivies :'( So I am taking a grief break at least for now, may buy new ones again when I dare.

I found a gorgeous, nature-looking notebook last night, and I am so excited. Though I dont think that I’ll write in it for a while. I’ll probably store information in a regular notebook then record it beautifully in the nice notebook when I’m ready.

I feel so overwhelmed with all the available types of spells. I think what I struggle with is finding something in my life I really truly feel the need to cast a spell for. But, I really like the Ostara spell you posted, I think that is such a kind little spell :) I think I would want to cast it for growing energy and courage? :)

I know I am leaning towards herbs, flowers, and plants. Your dog is so cute! Love your lipstick color and dress or blouse. I made myself some nice magical bath salts with rosemary and thyme in my backyard, dried and crushed in my mortar and pestle, then adding Dead Sea and some drops of eucalyptus.

Ever since I learned that witches weren’t just ugly green women with long noses that rode on brooms and casted horrid spells on people, I wanted to learn more, I started with learning mushrooms and even learning fictional herbalism through a fantasy book, I want to know how to use what nature gave us, rather than what was made in a factory, and nature always seemed to draw me in. I’m a big enjoyer of mid-evil video games, especially skyrim, and my characters always used some for of magic, mostly fire work, and I guess that just started me off on this journey
