Then: We will use natural resources from the earth to feel connected to the each other, Mother Earth & the cosmos.
Now: Cheap imported plastics(including fossil fuels to ship & deliver all the parts to the factory/to your store/doorstep) & slave labor with humans living & working in terrible conditions...SoUndS MaGicKal!🙄
But do you...I get that people aren't aware of what they're supporting with their Dollar or areandmade natural things aren't available . We just need to talk about it more, and call out the people that Are aware but dont care.

Many of those recipes were actually calling herbs by different names. So the commonly discussed eye of newt is referring to mustard seed. Tongue of dog was Houndstongue (a plant). They generally weren't referring to actual animals. Also, these were generally plants that were naturally in their environment. They didn't go out and work for materials (beyond scavenging in the woods), they already had these on hand. That's something to consider in modern craft. We can still go out in the woods and find plants that are local to us. We can still grow things ourselves or buy them from people who grow them locally (check out your local farmers market for fresh herbs depending on your area). Modern witchcraft has become very commercial with lots of props and fancy tools/materials (that reflects the comsumer culture that we live in more than the essense of the craft itself). We can learn a lot from those early witches who did what felt right with the materials they had at hand.

D B this is true, but this isn’t 1670 anymore. If you’re breathing air, friend, your contributing to the buy/trade of fossil fuels. You need to learn how to stop breathing if you want to get technical. If you don’t understand what I’m referring to, contact your local city/state to get your report of local air quality, and if that doesn’t blow your mind enough, get one from your water quality control too. Let’s not be trolls to each other, or judge one another because we are sinning differently than our sister. ✌🏼

For novice witches: PLEASE learn about crystal safety if you will work with them. As a general rule, anything that ends with the letters "-ite" (azurite, malachite, selenite etc) is NOT safe to place in water. They can be toxic or simply ruin / dissolve the stone. Some stones react negatively in salt, sunlight etc as well. Read about the actual chemical compositions of the stones. Be safe and blessed🙏.

"ite" is a suffix translating to "stone" or "rock" chosen back many decades ago. The same as "ene", "ide", and "ine" are the other three suffix in the gem world that are used. Yet with this new age era group, "ite" is the hot ticket "cheat sheet" rule of thumb, which derails from what we actually need to be focusing on.
There are plenty of dangerous rocks and crystals that exclude this "ite" suffix. In all of my years of studying, in the metaphysical communities, it is rare to see anyone saying "hey, focus on what is before the suffix".
Malachite = the mallow *soft* stone, copper. It was used as eyeshadow in ancient Rome and contributed to blindness
Azurite = the blue stone. It is also a copper, but soft on the mohs hardness scale. Making it dangerous.
Selenite = the stone of the Greek Goddess Selene. It is a 2 on the mohs hardness scale and is a cousin to salt. Salts are water soluable.
*"ite = danger" is a highly dangerous saying that is passed along with good intentions.*
Bumblebee Jasper isn't even a jasper. It is a calcite. Calcite by itself gets misjudged. It takes more than plopping then in a glass of water to damage them. _More specifically a roaring boiling pot on the stove._ it is the *arsenic* that is the dangerous one. It's a biohazard and an internal hazard yet people sell beads of them for bracelets.
I'm not here to attack anyone here. It worries me greatly that so many enthusiasts are taught to neglect what the names themselves mean or how to go about finding fundamental info (what comes before the suffix); though it is wonderful seeing people speak about chemical formulas.
      Stay safe everyone ❤

@@nayjax849 Yes, a sharpie or paint pen work fine. I absolutely recommend sealing with a coat of clear nail polish or modge podge. I've seen from others that they will still get worn off. Another suggestion is doing the runes on paper then modge podge to the flat side. *Runes as divination don't click for me personally so I haven't experienced any issues but I have them as practice sets for my local study group and for purchase. I believe these are a good option for beginners and those who are right on funds. Another option is doing the runes on index cards. I don't want to take over the comments here but I will definitely be addressing more on this in an upcoming video.

Helps retain moisture, retain fertilizer/plant food nutrients and release slowly over time to make the most out of each plant watering. Excellent deal for 1$!

Some great DIYs. The scrying mirror is my favourite. I am enjoying seeing you show how east and satisfying it an be to make your own magical tools. I have picked most of my 'tools' up second hand or been gifted them by witchy friends who thought I didn't have enough lol. In our modern witchy community there is a trend for consumerism that can detract from the practice itself or can overwhelm new witches. By making our own tools we put our own energy into it which makes them even more special. It also makes those pieces more unique to ourselves. TFS 💜

I love the small glass stones for making runes. I find a full set of runes made of glass is very heavy to carry around so I also like to use the plastic hearts table scatter that Dollar Tree sells around Valentine's Day. It weighs much less. They also had wooden stickers at Christmas in tree shapes that would be cool to use to make Ogham maybe.

Actually the difference is that essential oils are natural and fragrance oils are synthetic. They can both be used the same way if you just want to work with the scent, though for magickal uses it's important to note that fragrance oils are not their scent (so a peppermint fragrance oil is not actually peppermint it just smells like it) which can affect how it's used.

The best practice when smudging or cleansing with any type of smudgers or spray is to take the time after clearing to infuse the cleansed area with the energies you want to fill the void you just created shoving the other energies out. It's not the Sage that invites the negative energies back in, its not filling that space you just cleared with something else.. otherwise, its like an energy mudslide. the same gunk gets right back in. Love the creativity! Always looking for great "witchy" ideas from $Tree!

    • @Nexus-uj2uv
      @Nexus-uj2uv 2 года назад

Hi! Please don’t use the term “smudging” because the actual practice of smudging belongs to indigenous peoples. Same goes with palo santo and white sage. Don’t use them. Instead, you can use normal sage and call it cleansing. Blessed be!

Ouija boards were brought out in the Victorian era, as a girl's toy! Honestly! They didn't exist before that! Girl's could ask questions about their future love, that kind of thing. It is literally a child's board game! Victorians being as fanatical as they were, some people frowned upon this "toy" and said it was unholy. Said that girl's were using divination by playing this game, and that it could lead them into a two way path, that allows evil spirits and the Devil to come through and stay through! So Ouija boards are NOT actually a witch's tool at all!
That being said, i love the one you made and I do love what Ouija boards have come to represent now. I LOVE the mirror! That's my favourite! It's beautiful!
Just to be clear, not hating at all, just sharing the origins of the Ouija board! Don't take offence or shoot the messenger! I was disappointed when I found out too!
Now back to that mirror... Omg! It's beautiful! I bought a craft mirror a while back, basically a plain wood craft blank, ready to be decorated, but I haven't decorated it yet cos I wasn't sure how I wanted it to go. Now i do! Don't know why RUclips suggested you, they must have known I needed you to prompt me back into being active in the craft! I'm always buying bits and bobs but not actually using any of it! I've been in a very longggggggg rut for TOO long and it needs to end! I'll ask, no, I'll beg every one of you reading this to send me the kick up the arse I need to shake off this slump and re-emerge as the woman I want to be! The last decade has been hell, I'm not typically a moaner, but honestly, no one could deny it if they only knew what I've endured the last few years! Met a spirit who claimed he was a 6 yr old boy named Thaddeus that perished on the Titanic. Bad bad bad things happened to each of us. When the ouija board was in the car we got in a near fatal accident. One of our friends comatose. Another date raped. Coincidence? We asked a real witch what to do she said destroy it with fire and gave us instructions. We followed it. She also said Thaddeus was a dangerous demon and not a child. After destroying the board we returned to find a new ouija board on my doorstep a gift from my neighbor we destroyed it the same way. The other friend got possessed from Thaddeus or whatever and made a board out of cardboard and a glass that was so fast with only her on it. She was drawing weird images losing weight not talking and her bf ended up going on acid and dying in a electric accident you can goggle this mike delaney doug Greenberg niles Illinois 1988 July commonwealth Edison deaths. After that a few more things happened that are to personal
And I don't want to stir anything up. Please watch out
