this won't be possible - the city living apartments and the penthouse lot type won't be able to be changed.

I swear, I once had a sim ignoring the kitchen sink right next to them and going upstairs to wash the dishes. Maybe the diagonal walls had something to do with it, but they were able to access the kitchen sink just fine.

They actually added setting the sink type to kitchen, bathroom, or multi use in this “for rent” pack, but I believe that function will be added as an update to base game!

As a person who lives in a small apartment, I can say sometimes you have to choose between a dining area and a lounge area. Can't have both 😂 I chose lounge because I can eat on my coffee table 🤷
When I create tiny homes I do this too. We dont need a dinner table when sims can already eat on the sofa or bed.
so true, tho it would be cute to squeeze in just a 4 person dining taple, just in the corner somewhere, i mean, if u have space😉🤷
I'm living in a student house and it does kind of have a dining table (it seats 2, in a house of 5) but the only place it fits is in a conservatory with no heating, so we are essentially without a dining table all winter. I haven't worked out how to eat off the coffee table without sitting really really oddly, so I usually end up just eating on the sofa no matter how I dislike it
I’m living in a small studio apartment rn but mine just pair a 2 seater sofa with dining table so it can be both living and dining space but at some point I put office chair and notebook on the opposite side of sofa, so my dining table became 3 in 1 with supporting chair😊 but i could do that bc i dont have a tv tho
Obsessed with the apartment builds rn, I’d suggest trying to do one in each world until the pack comes out
Awesome idea!! Loved it! Quick note - you can do corner counters for prep - makes the kitchens a little more space efficient
Also mirrors work as wardrobes for changing outfits so saves you some floor space too
I mean you can also change your sim's outfit just by clicking on the sim, so you don't really need to add a wardrobe or a mirror at all 🤷

We've been building those for a long time, and it was so sad we weren't able to make it functional. That's basically a dream come true!
I love the floorplan of the red apartment! Plus the kitchen view from it is that beautiful plant wall.
This is fun! If you get this build in your game, you could also turn that little candle making station area into a shared washer and dryer space. Not sure how functional it would be, but would be somewhat realistic to a multi resident community using shared washers and dryers.
I love the green apartment...I'd totally live there! This was a great build and hearing Bowser snorting gave me a chuckle lol!!! 😊😊😊

The monochromatic is honestly my favorite. The creative use of neutrals makes it feel warm and inviting even the colors on their own aren’t known for that. And the gold/yellow accents are so creative and lively!
I think it would be fun to turn the big lot in Henford on Bagley into a group of little cottages, like a tiny village.
Love how these turned out! Also love the retirement home idea or a trailer park (of sorts) could be a fun idea!
In Amsterdam, we actually had a lot of these container student housing! And the floorplans were similar sometimes 😊

Hee Deli! In the Netherlands, shipping containers are being used to house students. They stack 2 or 3 on top of each other and it looks really cool. They aren't really really expensive, but I've heard it's hard to isolate them properly. I am living in a city where there are lots of students and a bunch of them life in these container homes.

Since it's an eco house, I would've made a communal bathroom and a study room, so then the small apartments would have more space for personal stuff. A communal kitchen would be nice too, but I don't think those work that well in TS4.

I love the idea of doing multiple microhomes for apartments! Maybe I could make cottages almost like rentable cottages you can get on campgrounds?? Maybe that would be a fun way to incorporate outdoor retreat and play like being a hotel owner even?
The only reason why I'm excited for the new pack is because I can't wait to see Deli build with it!! ❤
I love the upstairs one! I can see the landlord living there, and all the tenants knocking on their door to complain about each other 🤣
Building university apartments would be cool. Like a bunch of smaller dorm-like apartment buildings surrounding a central courtyard. So the students can all hang together but go back to their buildings with like 2-4 students per building. Would be cool to do a more traditional university exterior but a more modern interior, like I feel like a lot of real-life universities do.
Great build! Only thing I’d change is for the orange kitchen; move the bathroom door next to the fridge and instead of a desk put a 2 tile table against the wall (which used to be door and desk) with 2 chairs and move objects a bench underneath as if u could use it as a desk but when guests come round you pull the table and chairs back revealing the bench so it seats 4 people instead. (Minuscule change tho)
OMG!! I’m in the middle of furnishing a storage container duplex that I built for the new expansion and when I saw you posted a video and seen that you were doing storage container apartments I was soo happy that great minds think alike 😂😂

It feels like the landlord lives in the green appartment and maintains the community space and teaches candle making and gardening to his likeminded tenants
Heeey, I was wondering, you always try to find a place for a bin, but I always use the bin that you can put on the wall, that way you dont need an extra space for that object, you could try it! ❤
It’s awesome to see you always test your builds before uploading them. It’s so important to do that for people like me who can’t build to well. Also that you use no cc sometimes to help out console players. The worst thing is having a house, restaurant, rooms and so on From the gallery and you can’t use it and your sim cannot function. I really look for content creators that show me they test there builds now instead of just off the looks of the build. Thank you for going over and beyond with your builds.
The monochromatic apartment is my favorite! The green is a close second but sharing with the community area is too noisy for me 😅
My favorite is also the yellow/blue home! I loved watching this renovation 💛
I would pick the dark room. I wasn't keen on those kitchen swatches at first but the whole aesthetic pulls it together. Also to continue the Newcrest rebuild, maybe some renovated old terrace houses like they have in Sydney and Melbourne.
I would love to see you build a multi-family lot for each world that matches the world style (Maybe Oasis Springs Hispanic condos? British row houses for Henford on Bagley etc)
You can build a retirement home, that would function as an apartment. The elderly sims would have their personal rooms, but also a common garden, games etc. Of course building it very accessible for them and warm.
I build one for myself, to have my older sims live in a place together with a ghost (spelcaster ghost and I pretend it's an angel) sim to help them out, because the ghost can't die, so I won't loose my family's graves
I love micro and tiny builds, maybe you could do the smallest little houses on a lot, where they all share the same kitchen and lounge room facilities; because it’s a teeny house community to house homeless people; with separate spaces for private ensuite, bedroom and maybe a sitting/reading chair or desk. Maybe in the new game you could set a lot for the lowest possible rent and use it to help homeless sims… like when Eliza Pancakes kicks out bob or Nancy and Jeffery have a fight… or maybe a Bigwallet down on their luck can find some reprieve in the early stages of the next Rags to Riches 🤭
I absolutely looove this lot! I'd probably pick the red one because the floor plan makes it look a little bit more spacious but the upstairs green one is also a strong contender 'cause forest green is my favorite color
The blue and yellow is my fav!
I love the floor plan for the monochrome one, I prefer the soft green color scheme and I love the privacy of the red apartment 🙂
idea: reno the spencer-kim-lewis house to be spilt into multiple units for rent!! dennis and vivian could have their own apartments while alice, eric and olivia share a larger unit! the original house is so big and empty i think it would be a really interesting to see what you would come up with!!
RETIREMENT HOME using the For Rent pack would be amazing. I've tried having like an "old folks home" before, but of course they're a household so you are technically playing all 8 people, and everyone shares the same money, etc. so i think it would be really really cool to do a retirement home where everyone still has their separate lives but live in a small knit community type thing.
also, TRAILER PARK would be amazing. on a huge lot do a bunch of trailers and retired people, or families on vacation, or long term renters can rent a trailer. that would be so cool as well!!!

What a great idea for using the new expansion 4 for rent in combination with the world that I really like, but rarely play in! And Deli, you know that color coordination is my jam! I love these units, and I’d be happy to live in any one of them as long as I can bring my cat… L O L. 🧡🍁🍂🧡

Awesome idea. Totally gonna try converting this lot in my game too. To solve the access issue to the top floor flat, put a staircase up to the private balcony and make the balcony door the front door. Then that little candle making nook becomes it's own space.
Bowser's noises in the background make my day 😂 He is so stinkin' cute!

I'll have to treat myself to the last kit though for the painting in my fave one but I was going to get it once I get paid anyway lol, as I want the painting TV lol! 🥰😊

Advil liquigel helps pimples. You pierce it and apply the liquid to the pimple topically. Being an anti inflammatory the advil reduces the redness and swelling of the pimple.
I've always been obsessed with apartment / multi-family builds and even more than ever now! Please consider doing a multi-family build for Del Sol on that huge lot to fit into the surrounding community.
I like the blue/yellow one, but I also like the green. The bedroom/study area being on the opposite side to the community area would make it a quieter room
I loved the renovation. I'm kind of surprised, because it's not usually a color I gravitate towards, but I think I like the red one the most! The yellow and blue one is a close second.
I'd love to see you recreate Container Park from Grenada as housing instead of restaurants. Container Park is a group of restaurants built out of metal shipping containers in Grenada, a Caribbean island I lived on for 2 years.
I love watching you renovate and build apartments. The more the better :) I'm doing some now and would love for you to furnish them, but I'm not quite done with the community spaces and landscaping yet. (Real life keeps interrupting lol)

I think I'd pick the monochrome apartment actually, I prefer that floorplan and also the colors are cool! They are all great though
This was great and gave me lots of build ideas! I liked the one in its own building, too. I wish we'd received a lot trait or a new lot type for senior living or retirement homes with Growing Together. It'd be cool to see a senior living facility! It would be so nice if this pack came with an apartment gallery sharing update to the game so we could share City Living / Eco Lifestyle apartments as a lot instead of a room.
Hi 👋🏻 Deli ! Loved this idea when i😢saw it in last one’s comments. Glad you decided to do it & we luv an Eco moment in building, don’t we?! I like all of the units. I would enjoy a private balcony, but, much like another commenter, I try not to have to use stairs these days. I’m a bit older & rickety + balance not as keen. Plus, a very light sleeper, usually & nodding off more, as well 😆 so upstairs next to community area is probably not as ideal for me. So, the downstairs with a view it is! By the way, I couldn’t tell if you did or not, but, once you put down those water catchers, I would’ve moved the birdhouse to be seen better and a bit away from them, on that same green area though. 👍🏻
I would adore seeing a retirement community place! It made me think about the apartment complex my grandma used to live in when I was a kid. Not made for seniors, but most of the tenants at that time happened to be elderly. They usually lived when I came to visit because I was quiet & polite when playing in the courtyard, but friendly & well mannered, so they’d invite me in & I would converse with them & give hugs (they were all safe individuals, thankfully). I teared up a little 😭 thinking back to those simpler times & missing my grandma (I know you can relate but more recently than me). So many years ago, but sometimes it’s like something triggers a memory & you’re right there in your mind like yesterday. Maybe I might try to recreate those apartments. Thank you for your inspiration.

I've been building multi-housing lots for 5 or 6 years now and I'm so happy that I can finally put them to use! This is the first pack I've ever pre-ordered. I mighty actually start filming my builds because it's so much fun. I love the green but I don't do stairs any longer. Yellow for me please!!!
Also, I build like Deli does - Will this catch on fire? LOL I co that, think about what might happen IRL and adjust accordingly. So, instead of doing any housework on my day off, Imma play The Sims. 🤣🤣🤣
I love these builds and want to see more multi-house builds so keep goin'! I think I would also pick that blue and yellow one to live in bc of the view/solitude. But the upstairs green one is cool, this feels like a co-op living situation so maybe all these people want to live together/share spaces with each other! super cool.

I never play with this lot because the storage boxes make it feel so segmented but this multi unit renovation makes perfect sense!
I’d pick the one with the balcony but I’d switch the front door to be where the balcony is and instead of it being a private balcony it’ll be a nice front porch with stairs to access it there. That way everyone can use the back stairs to get to the communal area and then the other set of stairs will be for the home owners.
Hi from Chicago! We have a lot of homes turned apartments here with the attic and basement spaces renovated into separate apartments. Some basements are walk out meaning they are ground level. This would be a fun Sims build I think.

We have student housing made out of shipping containers in Gothenburg (Sweden)! They’re REALLY popular because they’re in the middle of the city as well, with water views ☺️
Now that we can build apartments, that would be a great opportunity for them to add functional elevators to build/buy. I know Ravasheeen made one, but not everyone can use CC.

when Deli said container shipping houses I laughed in my container student house haha. It's quite small but cosy and affordable in an expensive city (Amsterdam)

Im working on two builds, a 15 unit Californian Apartment building and 19 unit Apartment Tower! I cannot wait for this pack!!!!
You can only have 6 separate households (each up to 8 characters living in them, on one lot, though, in For Rent, I thought? How could you fill 15 & 19 units?
@@loraelstad8941 They’re not necessarily all going to be furnished. They have said that with a cheat more than 6 units can be in one lot, though they didn’t specify how many.

I was convinced I'd want to live in the green apartment, but seeing them all I think I'd actually prefer the monochrome. I love the colour green more, for sure, but I think the monochrome apartment would be a more relaxing, toned down space to live in.
You could make better use of the space if you consider that the sims my use the corner counter for meal prep....if you use the stove top from dream home decorator, it also doubles as counter space! You could have so much more space like that!
