I was thinking that this pack would be the perfect opportunity for elevators! But I feel like they would've teased it and I don't think they did so we probably won't get them. Sucks :(

If you can use mods then LittleMsSam has you covered. Though there's no telling if it'll need an update when For Rent releases.

I did this one too! I made it into 5 studio apartments with the ground floor all community amenities. 😂 I can’t wait to actually USE this lot. I never really did before, but now I really like it!

@@adonis7965 I think you should also try experimenting on this house and try your hand at remodeling it as apartments, just for fun. It takes lots of practice, trying things out, and learning from some tutorial videos to improve at building in Sims 4. In this case you have a shell to work with and you can also look at other people's builds for inspiration, such as @clozza123 Think of it like an experiment and if you feel anxious, you can save it to your library without saving it to your gallery so no one else sees it, Adonis. But that's just my opinion! Obviously if your desire to use Clozza's build is stronger than your desire to remodel this lot, there's no need lol. I simply like to encourage people because so many say they can't build but most Sims 4 builders on YT have been building for at least a decade so they simply have a ton of experience under their belts.

You can get electric blankets with auto shut off so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. I have had one for years. And an electric mattress pad. It’s a life changer. Don’t let the trickster of anxiety fool you!
See I have one that has auto shut off but I still have to unplug it becasue I can't stop thinking about it when I leave
I have an electric blanket and i use it just about every day from fall to spring. It's so cozy and I love it. I want a second one for by my comp because my room is so so cold and when I use the comp I am right by the coldest part of the house. I want to be warm!
@nickels5695 To be fair, you're still safer unplugging it when you don't need it so don't feel bad for doing that when you aren't using it. The auto shut off is a good feature for when you fall asleep or you do somehow forget and then regardless of it never failing and causing problems, you're not wasting power or heat when you don't need it. So it's win-win! 😊
I use an electric blanket every night! It turns off automatically, and is so cozy. I would recommend it, it really helps me settle into bed quicker, and my partner is now safe from my icy feet 😂
@nickels5696 if you have then available where you live, I recommend a smart plug. You can control it with your phone so you can turn off power to it instead of unplugging
I love how your floor plan for this is so creative with the two floor apartments and big cut outs to lower floors instead of the easiest box to build!!!
Girl. I unplug so much stuff when i leave the house because I'm so afraid of things catching fire. I run around the house before I leave yanking cords like a little maniac.

The dark brown apartment is probably the one I would want! I love the unique wall shapes and the cozy dark interior 😍 I also like the landing with all the windows. It feels grand walking up the stairs
I am always amazed at how tasteful your builds are! 😍 So nice, definitely will be adding to my game as soon as the pack is available! -- As a suggestion for the next kind of apartment is to do something for those HUGE starter lots in Del Sol Valley! Maybe a small condo with some starter houses for different kinds of starting artists? 😍
what's really cool about Deli's apartments here is it's really demonstrative of something I've hear referred to as "multi-class" apartments - basically to prevent areas of a city becoming overly gentrified, or saturated with low income citizens, is to create buildings that have a range of sizes and budgets so that the local hub benefits from a shared pool of wealth. Basically, your wealthier inhabitants will bring in more revenue which can support infrastructure such as better schools, community centres and so on that are hard to fund when you build with only one "class" or socioeconomic range in mind. These are more common in EU than Aus/USA and other western areas though, so it's really cool and surprising to see Deli, an Aussie (like me) demonstrate this in a really cool way in game. As someone who's lived in apartments and gets easily distressed by cramped spaces, I'd probably pick the most minimally furnished 2 bedder, or the apartment that had a bunch of chairs in it because I have a medical condition and sitting down is nice 😅
The entire time the pastel apartment was being done I was internally screaming about the stairs overlapping the door. The relief I felt when Deli finally noticed was amazing.

Love how it turned out! ❤ Still can’t believe that was one family home before. So massive. This turned out fantastic and almost feels like it was meant to be apartments. Never liked it before but now absolutely love how you transformed it! The interiors are all lovely but my personal fav is the darker one. I love the abstract shape of the apartment. Would be cool to live in.
This house was the first one that came to mind when renovating existing houses and I've been working on it for a week now. Great choice Deli ;D
13:39 - I have a mattress cover that’s heated, it turns off after so many hours so if you forget it on it’s not going all day and night. But I’m definitely dependent on it in the winter time 🥶
This house is perfect as apartments. My favorite is the upstairs teal apartment. 😊
There's lots of different things to like in each apartment, but I like the top teal apartment, and love the pastel apartment. Pastel anything is my favourite 😂 And I love the iridescent tables. They're one of my favourite items in the game! Maybe you could do a whole pastel house sometime? ❤

I'm so glad deli finally acknowledged that the Wierd builds are good for renovations. We don't get them anymore because simmers make the builds now but it honestly ruins the fun that way.
Just letting you know with the electric blanket, the one i have, you have to set a timer. From 1hr-9hrs. So by the time you get out of bed itll be off.
This was one of the first EA builds I knew I wanted to cut up into apartments! Love it! I also want to say that I'm secretly hoping we get surprise working elevators along side this pack. I realistically know we won't. But I'm kind of hoping they roll it out as a base game update. A girl can dream.

Hey Deli, I found your fears with heated blankets really interesting but to help you out, I only have them on the couch (I have air conditioning on my room) and almost every single blanket nowadays comes with a timer (hours) and a heat level. Because of that function, there is no way to leave it on all night. Hope that helps. Kisses from Portugal!
In my neighborhood this year a house burned down in the middle of the night bc of such an blanket on the couch 😅

It is importante to say that I only use them with the family in the room and I usually disconnect the plug from the electrical socket to be extra safe 😕

The older woman forgot to turn it off and went to sleep. Her daughter was at work at the time. Luckily the neighbors called the fire department and the woman survived.

I love that you pointed out the dangers of putting a rug under the dining table. Everytime someone does that in a Sims build i always think about how that poor rug is going to get ruined so fast. Lol

I used to live in a very cold climate -6 months of snowy winter! and an electric bed mattress pad was the best ever! It had an automatic turn off after 8 hours which was also a good way to wake up on time… once the bed got cold it was time to get up!
Really enjoyed this! How building a random apartment building and then you pick random sims from the gallery and you have to furnish each apartment to match the individual families including style they would have (dark for goths, boho for hippies etc)

I can't speak for getting addicted to electric blankets, but most modern ones do have auto turn off features so you don't have to worry about forgetting it
I couldn't live without my electric blanket. It has an auto shut off so it doesn't matter if I forget to turn it off. I don't sleep with it but I sometimes use it to warm up the bed before going to sleep.
I would totally choose apartment no two, it's really nice. Good reno!
Nowadays, almost all electric blankets come with auto shut offs. I haven't seen one stay on with the auto shut off longer than 10-12 hours, and they self regulate so it won't overheat
Just some questions I have had lately...let's plays on your channel never get a conclusion? You just stop when you get bored maybe? Days go by without any new video on your channel and you what makes it worse is that you chose to have member who PAY to watch your videos but you don't upload...it's not okay. And you need to ask people what they want to watch, because I'm sure your members don't want to pay to watch you make cake and the wait 9 days for another video. If you are going through personal things, that's okay, just explain to your community and help us understand. But just staying silent isn't the way to run a channel, especially if you have members who pay their good earned money.
I love how Deli loves Plumbella's pastel pop kit but when the spooky stuff pack is in a challenge, Deli and Plumbella have the opposite reactions lol
I use an electric blanket all winter. I have it on a timer so that it shuts off during the day so there's no worry I'll forget.
I turned this building into a mall. So fun to see a completely different take on it. Wonderful build perfect for apartments!
I love this! It definitely feels more natural than the OG build without changing very much. I enjoy how each apartment feels distinct but not too much clutter so hopefully it'll run well. I think this would also be awesome for having the family stay there (lol I know you said you didn't kick them out but I meant for my future saves as well.) The grandparents can live in the single bedrooms since they're not partners. Maybe one of them is the actual landlord or else the adults are? And the parents with their daughter could have one of the double bedrooms. (I barely remember the family's dynamics. I just know the grandma is mother of one parent and the grandfather is the father of the other one but I forget which. The granddaughter is BiPOC.) I think whenever I get For Rent if I put this in my game I might actually play them. :D Edit: lol otherwise just have a Sim who's a tenant. It's a good neighborhood but I almost never play in it.
I think the pastel apartment would be the funnest to play in because it has a lot of personality, but I would live in the ground floor, one with the separate bedroom. but let’s be real in this economy, the studio apartment would be nice if it didn’t break the bank.😂

As a heated blanket owner
1: you do get used to it and it is hard to sleep without it, but you get used to that again too. I’d say for people with chronic pain, a heated blanket can be a big relief. A heated blanket can also be used to preheat your bed. You take it off before sleeping and your bed will cool off slowly while you are in it
2: usually a good quality heated blanket shuts off on its own after a while. There should be a safety in there so nothing can happen. Ofcourse things malfunction, I just never had it happen to me. You can also make it a routine like, stand up, shut off blanket. It doesn’t take long to heat up again when you come back
All in all I am a fan. I don’t know if it’s healthy to sleep in a heated bed all the time but I do it anyway. Great for cold winters and snuggling with your partner after you took a walk in the cold!
completelyyyyy agree on the "decorating your own room" as a kid. my room is who i am. im 17 but i still feel the need to decorate it the way i feel it would suit so that it represents me as good as it possibly can, and i dont know what i wouldve done if i wasnt allowed to do that lmao
Just a heads up A LOT of electric blankets actually shut off after a certain time to get rid of the worry about forgetting to shut it off and it over heating.

This is a really nice redo! I’m definitely going to add this to my world. I wish the January sale discounted kits too. They aren’t expensive by themselves but they do add up quickly.
I think my favorite was the minimal apartment in the ground floor. If I moved in I’d be adding more colors and texture but I like a clean, light base to work with and the overall floor plan is my favorite.
Electric blankets have auto shut offs now. I don't feel like I ever got dependent on it. But I regularly shut it off after being in bed a bit cause I would be hot lol.

I would like to live in either the dark minimal ground floor apartment bc of its unique floorplan shape, privacy, double patio spaces, and overall spaciousness OR in the pastel one bc of its two story shape, cute theme, good views, double balconies, and is generous in terms of space.
I love that all of the apartments suit the building and the floorplan is cohesive and realistic, but that they are each so unique and have different pros and cons. Amazing decor as always Deli

I have had a heated blanket for 3 years now. I love it but it lets me turn my heat so far down at night save money. My heated blanket automatically turns off after 10 hours. You can also set the automatic turn off less if you want. Amazing buy.
The Pastel apartment is 100% my favourite, but they all look great.
(Also I can't wear white either 😂 I've tried but i get it so dirty 😭)
Heated blankets are a death trap, I recommend weighted blankets though or stuffies!

13:45 I'm watching while on my electric blanket. I don't get dependent on it. Some days it's too warm to use it. I only really use it when it's freezing cold outside and my house doesn't have good heating and omg it's amazing.

Renovate the Ward Mansion into apartments
I was planning to do the same in this building, but I loved what Deli did, and I really wanted to download it, but my gallery is all bugged, and I can't download anything that was recently uploaded, a message appears saying that it was deleted, and I even tried downloading it via browser, but I'm having the same problem.
Do not get an electric blanket mine caught on fire. I was in the shower when it happened I was getting ready for bed and I noticed cause I always leave the door open that what I thought was steam was actually smoke I run out of the bathroom to find my bed ablaze lucky for me I had to fire extinguisher right near me and I had to learn quick on how to use them. I ruined my mattress and all my bedding. By the way I only bought the electric blanket that day

for the electric blanket dilemma... modern electric blanket controls have an auto shutoff feature, which ensures the blanket turns off after a certain number of hours.

I think when they add lifts or elevators they will need to add wheelchairs, and that is a large project of making new animations and so many things to consider

for wearing white clothes and not getting them dirty- i wear white clothes all the time and i love the colour, yet they fatally ALWAYS get messy. ive just accepted it at this point and embrace the white knowing it will be permated by my poor eating skills.

The apartment on the ground floor is the only one I would play in since I rarely play games with stairs. Sims take too long going up and down. I am not into modern or contemporary design it reminds me of hospitals, medical clinics, IKEA stores and DMVs etc. My bedroom walls are painted bright turquoise, my bed is a metal "cottagey" type, my dresser was made in 1928, my desk was made as a garage work table by my 2ndGreat uncle in the 1930s (not a piece of junk, people are horrified when they find out it was in a garage because it is so beautiful), my 3rd great grannies 1874 treadle is being used as a bed-side table and there are books all over the place. Nothing in my house matches and I couldn't care less, I love higgledy-piggledy, functional and cozy.
in regards to electric blankets... you can actually get electric mattress pads that have heaters in them and each side of the bed you can set to a different heat setting if you and your partner have different heat preferences. we got one for xmas last year and it's the best. it also comes with a timer so it shuts off after a certain amount of time. during the winter we turn ours on as we are getting ready for bed so its nice and warm under our blankets and it turns off while we are sleeping. by that point our body heat under the blankets is enough. I recommend this over the heated blanket personally. I used to have a heated blanket and it was nice but I prefer the mattress pad way more. we put it under our waterproof mattress protector and it still works great!
Lol. I sleep with a weighted blanket and i can say I've become pretty dependent on it. I also sleep with soooo many blankets (including a sherpa cover for my weighted blanket) so its pretty warm and cozy (and nice and weighted). I also have so many plushies. My bed is in the corner and i even have my desk pushed up against the other side for a kinda cubby bed. Very comfy. Also very hard to get out of. Lol. (Sitting in bed right now waiting for games to update)
So real. Whenever I wear white I go about my day like normal and then when I look down to check my clothes THERE’S A STAIN???

Deli! I completely empathize with your inability to wear white because it gets dirty. I’m such a self-conscious person but somehow so messy. If I’m wearing a favorite article of clothing it WILL get dirty. Indian food has destroyed 2 of my favorite T-shirts recently 😅
13:50: That's not an irrational fear at all. Back in the 80's, my brother used to have an electric under-blanket, and he forgot to turn it off one night, and it DID actually catch his bed on fire, and what was worse, was that he didn't turn the blanket off, before proceeding to throw water on it, so risked electrocution, as well as being burnt alive (my brother never was the smartest penny in the fountain) Luckily no one was hurt, and I was told later, that apparently, I woke up, came out of my bedroom, looked at my brothers now-smouldering bed, and said 'Wow, that must have been one hell-of-a fart.' Before turning around and going back to bed ... I used to be a very sleepy child, and my brother was always doing stuff like this, which was probably why he sadly died in an RTA at the age of 18
Deli, would yuu be interested in making a "cottage community" build? They're something I see in the US but I don't know if they're in Australia so maybe google them! They just seem so pretty and functional and I hope For For Rent Rent allows completely separate units on one property to function as apartments as well but I don't know!
These apartments would be amazing in real life too, open spacious like feel, do like the private-courtyard area too. Wouldn't mind living there with hanging plants and all. Or the one with the purple pastel, mint green bedroom area.
Little trees and bushes always needed, everyone needs the greenery and such. Makes people more relaxed
