I think one of the most handy things they added to Sons Of The Forest is Kelvin. Yes, our boy isn't perfect, but he either gets the job done or provides some of the funniest moments in the game 😂
I killed him first game. Played 30 hours. Then kept him second game but he was annoying. Will always kill him solo or online 😏

for the campfire, if you notice you have 4 black pieces of firewood inside, that means it needs Sticks to keep burning, you'll notice sticks are gone if the 4 black firewood are there so, look closely and make sure you have sticks below them. as for the roof, like some others have said in here, instead of stacking the logs on top of eachother, now you gotta look where the beams are you should see an arrow pointing to the angled beam (roof piece) which then you should place full logs as they ewill be auto cut to fit. hope this helps.
Try walking on top of your defensive walls (which you can do) and look down at the poles your having issues with to chop out a spike.
Aim at the Support Log/Vertical (of half an Apex) while holding a Whole Log. Then, you should see a horizontal white dashed arrow pointing from the Support Log to the Leaning Log/Diagonal. Place the log to fill in the Apex gap leaving the remainder of the placed log behind.

If you want to get feathers, building bird houses gets you a ton of them. Your wall looks great! I love that they added the defensive doors! It's a game changer for sure
if you build a ramp or stairs insed the wall and then attach a rope you just climb it. No need for a door/gate that never will stay untouched. You can always build a ramp around the wall so you can shoot them and put stick traps thats reinforced with stones. Then you have a great defense overall. Use a the line as well for fast travels and logs around the base. And kill all around when they comming insted of kill a few,then do something else and get attacked. I see you do that pretty often, and getting suprised you beeing attacked,clear them out before doing something else.
Shotgun lowered but it’s still nice lol. Pistols however, do nothing now on enemies for me, headshot and it’s like hitting air, think they did something to that too

To cut down that standing log near your log storage, just equip an axe and cut it down. Make sure damage to housing is on in the options, which you can change at any time.

FYI WHEN BUILDING ROOVES I found out that you can fill the open triangle pieces in by placing one log smaller on top of the other log then do the logs on each end to fill in that space, instead of it being left opened.
Example: from a full length laid down goto the 3/4 length ontop of that followed lastly the 1/4 piece ontop of the 3/4 one etc. then do the angle logs on each end down will fill the open triangle in, which closes the open triangle up.
Hey GE the katana seems to work better if you aim low on enemies and take their legs out
A fire placed clipping into one of the immovable big guys to processes them for bones and skulls, those that can't be carried can be still burned.

This update was great, the Glider is on a cliff in the southwest snowy mountains edge near two red tents, to use just jump dont push W or S til your flying then W is down S is up [flight controls] loving this series.
There are 11 locations for the glider.
Maybe they should introduce benches like in other games. A bench where you can turn cloth into rope, perhaps make custom clothes too.
the fire made me think of a bonfire hope that be a thing in this game like the forest

you should follow Virginia; she will show you some good stuff like the place of the second shotgun and many other things, and if the zip wire is red then you can't place it.
GE, you sounded like a parent when asking Virginia how she got so bloody. ROFL Snatching the bench from under Kelvin was hilarious. LOL I see they fixed the ai so the cannibals can climb the walls. (That was always going to be in the game.) This game needs a fireplace or stove. Did you change the music? Do you have two outro musics?
Can you burn the corpses that are too big to move with a torch or molotov?
Virginia should leave your base less often if you plant some berries for her to eat.
With the roof part. You have to face the inner beam not the roof. With the building in this game it changes based off where you are point and what is down already.
The best character in this game is Virginia puffton. She got a third arm and leg after coming to the island everyone else died

Found the binoculars by accident on a loot run at the kayaks on beach
its a bit of a pian but if you want better security from that defensive wall if you plant spike right at the wall the spikes clip through the defensive wall. I have managed to get them stacked 2 high but honestly think you only need 1 row.
Great defensive wall not sure someone mention before you can put stones on the defensive wall also GameEdged you can make stick spikes that is only one used which can damage you too :)

You should try the doors on the spiked wall in the corners so there is a door on two walls.. that might look kind of cool?
So you know ahead of time for the watch towers you will not be able to butt it up against your defensive walls. You will have to pull I believe 4-5 logs from the defense wall and slot the watchtower in.

You can put down quarter pieces and cut them into defensive spikes. I have no idea what that's good for.
the standing log you had the zipline on might need repairs before removing it

Great Fun love the series !! But how can it be after 21 parts nobody told GE that he can directly eat/drink stuff from the ground and he dont need to open the inventory everytime eat/drink and then pick it up xD
Definitely the easiest way to actually get feathers is to build a birdhouse.
It's much easier to get feathers to build a bird house, if you just want feathers..

i have a base built on a lake, now i have the wormy guy spawning in my base, and it killed kelvin, he also spawns under my base and one time pulled me under it. lol

Target doesn't work, it only locks you out, not the mutants/cannibals. It probably only stops players.
Would’ve suffered way less attacks finishing the wall instead of getting distracted and building a fire inside as well

The fat mutants keep ramming the wall and it breaks off, also the natives can climb over into my perimeter. The wall feels like useless....
The apex wont work because you already have a full log in there from before, remove it first.
You know you can build a re-enforced fire inside your place and it won't catch the house on fire., even if Kelvin walks into it.

To build apex frame you need to put full log first then 3quarter a half log than quarter log then you put 2 logs to form apex rim👍👍👍

Funny how they add "defensive wall doors" while enemies can just walk through walls if you're further than 30 ft away from any particular wall. Fantastic game dev.
