    Great review of all my mods! Glad you liked all of them, especially The Price of Art!
    That was a much more personal one which I really enjoyed making!
    Good job on your theories by the way, you definitely got at least one right!

    Liked the video. The Dragonborn in those quests operates as an Robert E Howard protagonist, and thus come out if not victorious or at least with their mind intact due to being a demigod, the npcs of those quests operate like Lovecraft protagonists and are driven insane by the realizations of the cosmos. They've *already* dealt with the concepts of nothingness/endings and the whispers of unknown beings in some way shape or another before so they're fine here once again
    As for the last quest with Mal, yeah idk either about the timeline discrepancies. But i think its most likely Mora or at least some other daedra. It *would* be out of character for him or whoever else to have a child with a mortal and then help the child transcend/ascend but its perfectly on brand in Lovecraft stories so its probably that inspiration blending in. As for the choice at the end, i feel like as a part of the time lizard squad its the duty of the Dragonborn to do anything that remotely inconveniences a daedra like Mora lol
    As for 17:10 my headcanon is as such: Like uncle Party Snacks says, the Dragonborn is a dovah, and they feel the will to power, the urge to dominate and so on. They're also most likely a shezarrine (yeah you convinced me) as well, so saving the world and the mortals that live in it is something that they are by nature drawn to. These two opposite natures, of being an evil dragon AND the world's babysitter are contradictory, but either by themselves or when clashing against each other are something that drives the Dragonborn forward. Regardless of which nature the Dragonborn leans more towards, its impossible for them to exist in a state of "not in conflict" and thus they wont end up spent like Vasharr because they're always answering to an inherent need or doing something that satisfies their heart

    Definitely enjoyed the lovecraftian quests, they were really thrilling. Also, i recognized Vasharr's voice actor a mile away. He also voices multiple follower khajiits in a mod khajiit will follow, which is awesome and i highly recommend you to take a look at it at some point. That mod even has patches for vigilant and forgotten city, adding commentary from those followers to reflect the events of those mods. The vigilant one is especially emotional.

    17:10 The Dragonborn always thinks of Loverslabs mods.
    😂 That's my opinion

    I think you should take a look at HaemProjects' mods sometime if you're ever looking for something to make videos on, Project AHO and Carved Brink are the two major ones, they don't have that super accurate lore we all love but they're not going out of their way to break canon either (AHO pushes the boundaries a bit but still), two decently enjoyable experiences
    Nehrim and SureAI's other projects in the Enderal universe would also make a fun watch

      project aho is pretty great

    • @mauroquinones5145
      @mauroquinones5145 8 месяцев назад +3

      aho starts on a bad note for me, because it never answers the question of "shouldnt i kill everyone here the second i have the chance?" Say what you want about Bethesda, but that *was* at least an option in nuka cola

      Too me AHO and Carved Brink were massive disappointments.
      Even after playing through Carved Brink twice and watching a lets play I have no Idea what even happened and what I did.
      AHO on the other hand has such an annoying start, that makes no Sense that it breaks all immersion and there is way to much courier work in that mod. For so many things you just need to walk back and forth through 7 different zones all with an extra loading screen.

      Project AHO had a lot of potential to be great but unfortunately the lows outweigh the highs imo. Carved Brink was just a huge disappointment to me: story was whatever, climax was underwhelming, journey was just ok for the most part.
      But I will say one thing that HaemProjects don't miss is the visuals and scenery that they make, truly breathtaking.

    I have a suggestion for the next part of this series.
    Try dealing with daedra
    It's not the best thing but it's certainly worth a try.

    What if the monster in the Breathing Abyss was not manifested from the Skyrim Civil War but instead of the Great War? It would explain its great power compared to Umbra'Keth (needing the Psijics to intervene) as well as the great carcasses outside its cave (implying its been there for quite a while). Having a monster like Umbra'Keth be made of three provinces at war and then having a MUCH more powerful beast made of one doesn't make much sense to me. Also, loved the video! ♥

      they are pretty short, like half an hour each, but there is like more than 10 of them out there if you look at the mod authors nexus page so you could combine them all together for a longer experience!

    Hey, I have a video suggestion. Why don't you try reviewing... Buxom Wench Yuriana?
    I dare you.
    On a more serious note, there's this mod called Warden of the Coast, and while it probably doesn't warrant a Vigilant kind of video, it might be worth mentioning here. It's pretty long, voiced and has its own companion system that works like those from Bioware games. Admittedly it's pretty buggy, I've even run into a bug that prevented me from progressing further, but that might be my fault for rushing through the main story too fast and not doing companion quests, others apparently were able to finish it.

    I think that at the end of The Breathing Abyss you find Manias' diary that says something about transforming to be one with that creature and although the main access to the cavern is blocked, there is a secondary access that it is not, and upon entering you can see that there is now a species of giant leech inhabiting the cavern.

    Playing through Vicn's trilogy, I really got sick and tired of Woodland Man's sh*t. He's ewrywhere - I saw guy that looked just like Black Owl (except the mask and hat) in my local shop that was just staring at me, and then left without a word. He was buying stuff from the church things section. I'm taking a break right now, my head hurts, and my shift is only half way done 😢

    • @mauroquinones5145
      @mauroquinones5145 8 месяцев назад

      Wait you sure you arent talking about the Owl? because the "woodlan man" is Mora and he doesnt show up in Vigilant and Unslaad iirc

    • @grzegorzflorek5623
      @grzegorzflorek5623 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@mauroquinones5145 No, but his influence is clearly felt throughout the entire trilogy: in Vigilant through Bard, Orlando and the needle, in Glenmoril through the Black Owl, and in Unslaad through both the Black Owl and Jhunal the Gray.

    What are your thoughts on Starfield ?

    • @cotho.
      @cotho.  8 месяцев назад +4

      I am planning to make a full video about that (eventually), tl dr, its not a creatively bankrupt game, however the vesion is too blurred and the scope is too wide for the game. It doesn't make me concern about tes 6, but it makes me worry about the story because the story on starfield is not good in my opinion.
