Back when I was in middle school I remember playing this piece. Had the melody stuck in my head the other day so I wanted to learn it again but couldn't find the old papers with tabs. Thank God I found this video, will be a ton of help!!!
Loved your tempo interpretations throughout your presentation. As in public speaking, pauses have great impact. Great job . . . Looking toward a day when I can come close to this performance
Your phrasing is exceptional!!! It gives it the Robert Lunn touch!! Especially when you move down near the bridge with your right hand in the second movement!!!! Man that is some good stuff!!
Really beautiful piece Sir The way you explained, it is really helpful to know the chords as well . If you Can you share with us it’s PDF as well I would be glad . 🙂 Thank you 😊
Hey Robert. Great lesson of a beautiful piece. I’m trying to learn it but one thing is causing me trouble. When I move to the 9th fret barrr chord at the start of bar 5, I can’t get the G string to ring out as I seem to be muting it by stretching my A finger over to play the D string at fret 11. Any tips on how to solve this please? Thanks
That is a tough one. There are a couple things you can try. Try covering more strings than you need to with the barre. Experiment where the best position to get sound from the G string. Another thing I would recommend is try getting the g string to ring with just the barre (without any other fingers down). See if you can get a good sound. Then try adding other fingers. Experiment with where your left elbow is. Sometimes bringing it closer or farther away from your body will help. The last thing I would say is that barre chords can be difficult. It could be just a matter of making that hand stronger and more flexible which can be achieved through time and practice as well as specific exercises. I hope this helps!
@@RobertLunn Oh Yes Sir,,exactly, this is the one. How wonderful. Thank you so so much. You are awesome 👍👍. Tough piece though but I’ll practice until I get them right.
Hi thanks ....I practice this song 4 da last 5 yrs trying to make it sound better if I can. 59 here..question 4 .u do I tune normal E tuning or there s one string that must be in a different note as Alhambra Tales is Tune....tnks 4 da answer....no rush . Ur advice is greatly appreciated....tnk u
Hello, in measure 5 when I play the 3rd string my 2nd fingher flesh is stopping the note, always. I tried everything. I can't bend more my fingers. Do ntou have any suggestion? It affects my sustain. Thank you
@@RobertLunn I'll try. Thanx a lot. I noticed that if I use to put my fingers near the fret there is a better chance to avoid this muting. I'll follow your tips and keep trying.

@@RobertLunn thanks very much. It’s just that one that’s a problem. The ones that follow are fine. Cheers for the advice
@@RobertLunn I tried everything you said and it still won't go, could it be because my strings are old and need to be replaced?
Maybe change the strings that could help. A lighter gauge could be easier
