DMB is my favorite current live band. Leonard Cohen is gone too, & Tom Petty. Tough time for my singer/songwriter heroes.

But tge souvenirs album. It is a great introduction to many Prine classics. John was a legend in folk/country but his songs transcend just one genre. He was also a lovely person that when you saw him live he told us so much about the song, how it was written, what his mind was like at the time, and all of us Prine fans are never the same person walking out as we were when we walked in....

Dave always comes through when we need him. A living legend pays tribute to one that’s passed. Beautiful.
His guitar playing is really under appreciated.
He doesn't solo, but his rhythm and the crazy fret positions he can reach are amazing.
He has a way of casually sort-of, kind-of picking, strumming or whatever, but what comes out is always quite intricate.
He didn;t miss a note.
His own guitarist says that, too, and says Dave's got the strongest pinky finger for hammer-ons of all people he knows
