- I Caught TONS Of AQUARIUM FISH For My NEW AQUARIUM! Is an INSANE video where we setup my 120 gallon african cichlid aquarium as well as we bought 8 40 gallon breeder aquariums to setup in the garage to start our fish room and during that we also discovered a secret fish room that the seller had that had tons of exotic aquarium fish! After we set the trap at the abandoned spillway I checked out the abandoned fountain to grab a trap that had set for more than 24 hours to collect platys for our backyard pond! After that we grabbed our fish trap from the abandoned spillway and caught TONS of aquarium fish for the newly scaped 120 gallon aquarium!

In days of old we would put 1-2 inches of peat moss on the bottom of tanks we were adding live plants to. Then follow with 1-2 inches of pea rock. Next would be wood and rocks. Then we would add a few inches of water carefully so we did not make a mess with the peat moss. Then plant the plants and fill the rest of the way.
The plants did well with the peat moss/soil. If you put in a bunch of black worms and let the tank sit for a week or two you will have a nice soft water tank with a ton of live food that like to hide and gives the fish a chance to hunt. Maybe give it a try sometime.
I want to see you place some fish traps in that lake behind the new place.

You look so much happier than you have been since the fire! It looks like a nice little setup you got there! Are you worried about the temperature fluctuating too much through out the day in the backyard ? You could buy a freestanding canopy at some point to control the temp better, since you are renting you can't really have permanent structures anywhere I'm sure. Looking good though!

If you pull all the big debris out of the pond, the next time you go it will be easier to catch them.

Hey Rob you can make some cheap Diy tank stands for your tanks. Just stack up some cinder blocks and put 2×4s on top buddy 👍
Rob you need to keep all the stuff you need in one place so you have everything you need, when you need it.

Nice to see you getting tanks setup again. That is a good variety of African cichlids you caught. You need to go back there again to get more. You need to put a rope on the trap, and stake the rope to the ground. That way you can let it float out and still be able to pull it in to retrieve it.

Great video. It's great that you got a new place and can set up your aquariums again. Just some things to improve your videos, Lose the gum it looks gross and keeps you from pronouncing your words. Rince your aquarium gravel and sand always before using. Set up aquariums and have them ready before collecting fish. The best part of these videos is to be able to see the fish you catch. Keep up the good work.

I've never heard that it's safe for fish to live in a tank that was set up in the sun. I've never seen it. I guess that's why it's recommended not to set up a tank near a window, but I'd like to hear your take.

What is the difference between pool sand and play sand
I believe Pool sand has a lot of silica and it’s not safe for the fishies..
