@@ic0nic707 Only because of the Republic's edict. The Empire's main issue was that it continued Republic practices and used republic ideologies, so an argument by the proto-Rebel Alliance whose mission statement was to restore the republic would be hypocritical if they mentioned that.

Ironically like half of those are actually justifiable in universe or at least the characters present have little reason to question with who they are themselves.

Crosshair’s chip was removed. He said it in the last two episodes of S1 of the Bad Batch.
It worked by random chance. They were all different from each other. Also his mutation isn't really all that involved with his brain like Hunter's or Tech's, so being deviant might not have affected the chip as much

Also I think it was removed after he got burned by the engine cause the right side of his head was bandaged right where the chip was. Also after that they shaved his head just like they did in fives chip removal, and he has a burn scar right over his chip.
@@Grimm0128 That's really tricky though. The creators said eagle-eyed fans can see when it was by a change in behavior. Previously, he was focused on killing them and Omega. After he got burnt, he stopped trying to kill them and tried to relocate her to safety. I'd like to think it was during episode 3, during his surgery, that he got it removed, but I think it was when he got burnt because of that behavioral change.
