Barry kitcheners pub was the shard arms I remember that old boozer and the connoisseur on the old Kent road use to get up there a few times back in the day!! Was a lot of good pubs and clubs in south London then great interview one of the best I’ve seen 👍
Talk about sliding doors, if he hadn’t agreed to do that stitch up fly on the wall documentary I believe he would still be coaching now at a high level.
Brilliant interview. Whatever you think of John Sitton, you can’t say he’s ever boring. I don’t think he should have been a manager. A coach, definitely, but not a manager.
Finally got round to finishing reading Sitts’ fantastic book over the last few days. Real salt of the earth bloke let down badly by various backstabbers, ne’er do wells and general wrong ‘uns.
Love listening to John, I grew up in the same era and can relate to every player and the way times
Were then.Great listen, great pod cast, thank you.
Johns book is the best football book I’ve ever read 😀 and he signed it for me
Really good, great interview. Could improve sound quality.
Very interesting interview 👍
Excellent interview with John.as always honest and refreshing to hear what he has to say, looking forward to part 2👏👍👊
Great interview, it was only spoiled by that 'Free Now' advert that popped up in the middle of it.
we had no knowledge of that Clifford, it wasnt us that put that advert in
John is always great viewing and tells it as it is

Brilliant interview, love listening to Sitts always.
John is a great man, always calls it as he sees it. We're losing characters like this all the time and they are just not being replaced. How very sad.

100% buying the book

Absolutely agree! An honest and hugely interesting guy. Gutted he wasn’t given another opportunity to manage another club.
@@drt8990 agreed. He was treated very unfairly in my opinion.
He knew what he was talking about!
I knew a few of the Orient players in the late eighties and they were on forty grand a year and a BMW each. Not bad for time.
This man is compulsive viewing in every interview he does.
