Impressive torque that little 4 wheels loco. Pulling easily a person and so many wagons. Nice to see a smilling lady that have so much fun in that generally male world. Scenery, trackwork and those neat models. ❤❤👍👍
I've never seen a miniature gauge Garratt before, but I've had a ride behind a Narrow Gauge one on the Welsh Highland Railway. Garratt steamies aren't exactly my cup of tea, but they are useful. They have a charm that's hard to ignore.
This is a marvellous garden railway, I wish had enough room to build this stuff, I don’t even have enough room to build a 00 gauge layout let alone this. Excellent video
I loved this railway and it's layout.I like the idea of riding on the train and thinking as if I am in driver's seat. Really amazing. I am subscribing to see more videos.
Nice one Ollie, I bet you loved every minute of it, Nice to see your Ruston (Planet) with those box vans, also I've never seen 5 inch gauge track on the ground, I've always seen the 5 inch gauge raised track railways, stay safe :)
Very nice good two see them running like to see more .in iron mountain Michigan they had a lot bigger one had 6 cars you could ride around the park 7 people at a time .look like a strimliner from the 60 ..wish they still had it .
View of the tiny railway is giving a beautifull experience to me. I am really enjoyed this journey with the tiny train. I am a visitor from India for this tiny railway zone ❤️ 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is just superb, where do you start. The power of that Ruston, the signaling, infrastructure and rolling stock, just amazing. Then put pops a Garrett.
Saw one of your posts this morning. I was hooked! Even though Im an American modeller (H.O scale) this is WOW! Ive subscribed.Got to see more! Awesome :-)
Drove past Cambridge on Tuesday! To collect some Copper Sheet of course. David and Lily guilty of buying a house 3.5 miles from the Reading Track. Lovely layout.
Hi Ollie you both looked if you really enjoyed the drive I thoroughly enjoyed the video it’s nice when everywhere is nice and green thanks for sharing that with us cheers both of you .... :0) ... Chris
You call your size 5" gauge. Is that the same as 1:16? I am building a Cargo wagon scale 1:14 but I also need weeks? The cargo wagon is part of an scale forklift truck. Because we had the forklift truck to load an unload the wagon. And that is what I want to show in RC. SO inam.looking for rails and wheels.
No I had a feeling that was going to be the case, shame though as it would bring in quite a bit of money if he ever decided to open to the public, especially if steam was on the track
imagentleman8 he does often do galas for clubs etc but he’s not a fan of the fairground type style where people pay for rides, this is a more to scale model railway set up! Hope this helps 🙌🏻
@@imagentleman8 If you watch the whole thing carefully there''s enough info that I found it in about 20 seconds on Google maps, but it would be unfair to disclose the location, so you'll just need to stick on your best deerstalker and grab the magnifying glass
Hey Ollie, that was sooooo cool. And if I don't see more I shall throw all my toys from the pram, after that I shall throw a tantrum and scream and scream till I'm sick. That might just be a bit dramatic but I think you get the point lol, really loved it thanks to you and Tian :) :) :)
What’s the history of the layout, did he make everything by hand and how long has it taken so far? Is this a private layout or a club? Ever have trouble with leaves on the line?
Just think, a few more years and DCC will probably be so advanced that you could convert these trains to run completely automatically. In just a few moments you could set up an entire day's running session, press the go button and sit back and watch the trains come and go.
@@WardleRestorations Hey!! 👍😉

Wow, amazing! How wonderful, I love it! I can't amagine how much work went into building that!
man i appreciate the shit out of how much labor it was to build it my hats off to them.. the amount of stone is many tons alone

The 5 inch gauge 10 wagons are the best. Love the tales of them trundling along like the old LMS goods trains
Just love this layout and the impressive presentation. Thank you
Ollie and Tian. That was great. Thanks for taking us along.
Norman Rowe thank you for watching Norman! Appreciate the kind words!
Beautiful, My wife would have to drag me away. Ha Ha. Amazing railway layout. Thx. for sharing with us all. Take Care! Stay Safe! :-) :-)
Loved it, to think of all that ballast! I thought my layout was a lot of ballasting!
Rule 1 Model Railways yeh tonnes and tonnes of it 😂😂
A marvellous 5" gauge railway, fantastic. Merv.😃
Beautiful little railroad. What a labor of love! Your choice of music for the video was excellent. Good job all around.

Haha glad you enjoyed mate! This was filmed a few years ago, I’ve bought a full size loco since then! 🤣
@WardleRestorations Wow that's great to hear. Good luck with your loco.
I sure have missed riding on the 5inch gauge down where i live near Eaton Park in Norfolk due to the covid situation.
It's hard even to imagine owning something like this. This layout borders on the insane. Not that I'm jealous of course.
Haha it’s a great place to run my locos!
This is nuts, would love to have this in the garden! The wiring in the signal box looked terrifying though...
He told me it took him just 2 weeks to wire that all up, id have been there for a month! lol, glad you enjoyed mate
awesome layout...needs a bit of love but rly awesome!
Stunning layout and great upload buddy.

Lovely layout.
I was at the layout Tuesday to! Hope you enjoyed the vid!
I cant imagine how heavy the locomotive. It carries a man. Wow...
Lol you should see some of the American ones, they can pull 100 people
That’s the same engine that I got
you should see the STEAM ones!
Amazing! This is my dream I want to work towards for sure
Are some of the switches-points controlled by rodding? I thought I saw some at about 4:00
some of them have rodding and hydraulics
Be great to see aerial view of the layouts. Maybe by drone
Great vid! That railway looks awesome. Wish I could do something like that in any guage. Just looks like fun!
Really glad you enjoyed Mark!

Woooooooooow awesome stuff mate. But where’s your hi vi vests lol
What a great Railroad layout👏👏👏👏👍
never new they were that big, looks great
How did you build those tracks
What a lovely place! 🇬🇧
WOW... Amazing railroad miniature... 👍🏼

This is a 'garden' railway ?
It’s in a garden so guess so!

Sandrews international Junction hi Chris! Really pleased you enjoyed that! Yeh the weather was very nice!
Very, very impressive!!
How much money you have invested in your tracks and trains?
It’s not my track, but a lot of money I imagine!

So cool, if I won the lottery this is what my garden feature would be.
Glad you enjoyed mate! Plenty more to come!
Great vedio & awesome background music
Do they have open visitor days for people who just want to come and see the trains ⁉️
Friends of loco owners sometimes come along and watch but not the public as such
thats just nuts. is it smebodys private back garden or some kind of club set up? the stuff of dreams............i need to check my lotto numbers.
Its someones private garden!
amazing just needs an upgrade to 7,1/22"
Does it have steam engines as well
It does have one however it’s currently being refurbished!
Wardle Road ok
Thank you for your prompt reply. Besides those wagons are there any other rail stock available to pull ?
Yes he has many different wagons and coaches, the box vans just happen to be my favourite 😂🙌🏻
Is this based in Winchester
What is 5" in scale size, im not good in the inch measurement 😊
Hi Ollie I loved the video but is there any chance you could tell me where in Cambridge this track is as I can’t find it on google
Hi mate I can’t give away the address myself as it’s a friends private railway, so not open to the general public!
No I had a feeling that was going to be the case, shame though as it would bring in quite a bit of money if he ever decided to open to the public, especially if steam was on the track

good organized railway
That's a sweet sweet Garratt
9:06 I see a Garden RR?
Hey Ollie, that was sooooo cool. And if I don't see more I shall throw all my toys from the pram, after that I shall throw a tantrum and scream and scream till I'm sick. That might just be a bit dramatic but I think you get the point lol, really loved it thanks to you and Tian :) :) :)
Colin Wykes don’t worry mate I don’t want to disappoint u! Will get filming more ASAP!
Hey, I like the video but how are the trains powered?
Diesel traction, battery powered, or are the track electric like a model railway?
What’s the history of the layout, did he make everything by hand and how long has it taken so far? Is this a private layout or a club? Ever have trouble with leaves on the line?
Everything’s hand made, took him 25+ years! It’s a private garden and yes, leaves on the line now and then!
What are the rails made of?
is it an ordinary steel flat bar or some designed rolled steel rails for this gauge?
im not entirely sure but I can find out for you!
What are the rail maid of?
That can't be a cheap hobby in Fernando trains, tracks and buildings for the track but in terms of land it's based on.
Wow! Great video guy’s what a fantastic garden railway, I’d love one of those, now where’s the wife, lol! Cheers John
Yeh it’s stunning! Feel free to subscribe for more! Got lots planned!
Already subscribed and looking forward to more 👍
Legend 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Are there any steam locomotives?
yes, there were just none on this day
how to you make the electric powered locos
Awesome layout! I'm interested in your track signal system, and your switch house. Love all the rolling stock are hand made. Ron//
It’s a friends track! He’s put 25 years into it!
A friend with "ride on" trains is a good friend to have. Yes im sure a lot of years have been invested in the wonderful layout. Ron//
Looking at the turntable scene and thinking, eggs in a loose-coupled goods wagon ...
The engine with the tenders in the front and back looks like another somewhere wales engine 😀
Excelent Railway Train. See you from Chile, Southamerica.
Just think, a few more years and DCC will probably be so advanced that you could convert these trains to run completely automatically. In just a few moments you could set up an entire day's running session, press the go button and sit back and watch the trains come and go.
Its getting close to that already, a lot of options out there for radio control etc!
No problems social distancing in that garden!
Exactly mate! Haha
Who else is here from Zoe Robinson’s video
Great video by the way.
I loved the turntable bit it was so satisfying
Glad you enjoyed!!!
That’s just brilliant. Off the scale!
Haha I’m glad you enjoyed mate!
I don't believe car couplers like those have been used since the 1800's in America. Those things were 'DANGEROUS !'
They are still used in Europe, although Auto Couplers are on modern unit trains.
The Link is screw adjustable.
Just brilliant.
Is that a ruston shunter?
