- A just under 20 minute cab ride full tour of Ballan parkway OO gauge layout. Both internal and Garden section. Stopping at all stations. Set in the BR period.

Brilliant trackside detail such as rubbish and broken fencing, weeds, bushes etc - amazing.....and Arse End station!!! Well done.
OH MY! This is sooo fantastic! I too can scarely imagine all the work that went into it. Thank you and mini cam technology for bringing back my childhood imagination!

i loved the cab ride and the detailing around the layout is excellent ,the rails looked like real ones with the grubby look ...excellent layout

As a youngster more than 55 years ago now, I had a small railway layout my dad built for me. I can still remember wishing I could get into my three trains to see the layout from the cabs. You have effectively made that fantasy come true with this video. Thank you.
Ha I am 55 too a couple a months ago. And I always wanted to do this as a kid. Now achieved many years later with modern technology. Thanks for watching.

BALLAN PARKWAY Got a few years on you at 62. I was trying to figure out how many years since my Triang train set.... about 55. Where did the time go? Thanks again for the memories, and cheers from central Canada. (Emigrated 32 yr ago).
I'm not a model railway buff...but the detail when trains pass ..the detail and weathering all round..this shit looks real!..bravo
What an incredible, atmospheric, spacious railway in what appears to be a standard semi, which still has a garden! And the bonus loop of Arse End. mega :)
Amazing. First time I seen a class 37 was when my father took me to Birmingham motor show in 1986. I was 7 years old. We boarded at ruabon station in north Wales, near where I live, and changed at Shrewsbury. A class 37 came in to take us to Birmingham. Having never seen one before, due to only being used to local services in my area, I was amazed by the 37. I have been a huge fan ever since. I live close to llangollen railway, and always go to the diesel days. Amazing layout you have, very impressive. Best of luck.
I do like the 37’s. Still many around and some doing mainline services. A very successful loco.

Thank you. Most of the outdoor section came down during a storm two years ago when the fence blew over. There is a small section now a terminus left. I am at present extending the internal sidings in to a marshalling yard and depot stabling point. This is my latest project.

Thanks. They will be more. I am doing some repairs and replacing the OO fencing. Some of the cork walls I originally installed have disintegrated a bit with the hot weather last week.
Excellent, much better than just watching the trains whizz round. Lasted a cuppa nicely too.

It's good to watch again,,, and again. Good photography, nice and clear.
Thanks. I need to change the lighting inside though at some stage. It’s a little dark in certain areas. 70% of the outside section has now been removed due to the long fence in which the brackets were attached too came down last Winter during a storm. The posts were rotten.Had to have the whole fence replaced. There is now a refurbished more detailed terminus outside with a working siding. Will have to do a new tour video soon?

That is fantastic, what a great train ride that was, the layout and the detail is amazing. I’m going to watch that everyday that’s just great. I love the way how you transformed the clothes line into the deep space NASA radar dish😂😂, the entire thing is unreal.
Thanks Greg for the kind comments. Never noticed the washing line! Most of the outside track came down with the fence during a storm a couple of years ago. The fence has been replaced but the line has not. There is still a small portion of it running. I am though extending at current the internal layout to create a marshalling yard and depots.

Yeah, I agree. That's how train yards are anyway. You can always add grot,,,, or junk in general.

Thank you. Most of the outside section has gone now. Got destroyed in a storm about three years ago when the fence came down. There is about a fifteen foot section still running. Concentrating and expanding the indoor layout section now.

Pretty damn cool...may watch again! Last time I watched a cab ride on your layout I seem to remember Arse End was under development and the journey was only to there and back. It was great to see the progress and rest of the layout. Epic

Remarkably realistic ride with very good sounds! The operation and signalling are also great and the main station and MPD look really good, with a very well-thought-out track layout. You have inspired me!

I’ve been a subscriber for ages & had absolutely no idea how huge your layout is! Didn’t know it had an outside section either. Absolutely brilliant, fabulous detail. Easy to forget that it’s a model. V jealous.
Thanks for the really kind comments. Most of the outside section has gone now due to a storm a couple of years ago taking the whole left hand side down. Hence taking the railway track with it! I am though extending currently the internal layout. A currently constructing slowly a marshalling type yard and depot.

Thanks for the very kind comment. The outside long run has taken a battering this Winter. The fence posts in which the run is attached to have gone rotten and with the movement of a few Winter storms has warped sections of the track. So the whole fence requires replacing. I am going to have to dismantle that section until the fence is replaced and try and reconfigure how to re instate it?
Been a while since my last visit and what a wonderful transition. Everything from this view looks just like it should. The ground level effects and details are quite well done. The trackside (wall buildings details) come out as if full depth, bravo. Love the miscellaneous papers in the tracks near the station, looks like people really go there. More than just a train set, it's now a real place. Congratulations you are now a creator of places to visit and see. Hard to believe it has been so long in the making. You've made your dad proud sir.
And your wife must be a Saint for allowing you to do this. Tell her a fan says thanks for her patience, LOL.

Absolutely brilliant. This is the most realistic model railway I have seen. I had to look twice on more than one occasion to ensure my self I was looking at a model railway. Having worked in many railway yards in Queensland in my 31 plus years with Queensland Rail as a shunter and trainer I can assure you this is as close to real as one can get I think until we can make the people move.

Excellent. The level of detail is stunning and I can tap into that era of the railway too (no Class 50's I noticed 😉). I take it the sound effects are through the locos themselves. Loved the Arse End station 😁
Yes the sound is the locos. I do have one class 50. Which was of shot of camera this time.

I’m in the same Boat David. My 8x6 shed arrives this week into our little back yard but if I achieve a fraction of this I’ll be happy. I can do an outside bit. Do they use special rails do you know ?
@@phil3380 Some do some don't. I believe that you can get Nickel/ Silver (mixed) which don't rust . If you look at the comments on the above its asked n answered . I live in a flat so mine will be titchy
@@phil3380 Just checked tis Nickel/Silver rails and joints soldered. I'd start inside and then when you're happy n had practice venture outside . You can have your spur whatever set up ready inside and connect when ready .
Yes they are nickel silver rails. The outside does require more maintenance than the inside. Had to do some minor repairs to the track last week because of the extreme heat and some fencing had to be replaced.
