Before this starts I'm going for hotdogs but should of bought cheese hotdogs . That doughbait smells like poop and looks like it too . And for both I use a bait needle and put them on treble hooks 😉🤙 The power baits work nicely too but are very strong smelling . And yes catfish will eat corn no problem just like carp but mostly channels or bullheads on corn. Dude when you opened the poop baits I just started laughing when you said smells like shit I'm over here going told you so lmao 🤣👌Man that first one dang that hook almost got him . And than one on the power bait they do work 😉🤙 the next he got was on a hotdog right so 2 hotdog and one power bait. Double up you got a hotdog cat ☺️🤙 and he got one on oh wait both rods of his . Channels are feeding. And bam your hooked on the hotdog again . He surely was bleeding a bit . Normally if you dip them in the water and pull them back out the blood stops. You got another dog cat lol beef and cheesedogs are best but they eat all hotdogs . And ya hooked on the doughbait 😉👌 Yeah the poop bait sucks lol hotdogs with the Win like I figured . And yes the power bait works that poop magic bait does suck badly . Great episode. Is there a river with Flats and Blue cats near you ? Love to see you pull a 50 + cat out the water 😎👍👍

i literally caught 8 catfish today on that cheap magic bait. I guess it's pretty subjective, depending on where you are and how you're fishing

@@5050fishing interestingly enough, I went to the exact same spot with hotdogs yesterday and only got like 2 bites all day. it's definitely subjective, like it depends on where you are, water clarity, etc. but the magic bait definitely did better than hotdogs at my location. hotdogs did stay on the hook a little better though
I'll be honest, I've never used hotdogs before lol. But you can probably guess what I'll be using next time I go. I've used chicken livers, cut bait, large minnows, goldfish, even a few different varieties of this stink bait, even used nightcrawlers, surprisingly those have worked well a few times when nothing else worked. Definitely gotta try hotdogs.
Yeah great Scott's a good dough bait i use it with a glow tip bobber at night and as soon as it hits the water im on, liver and cheese, and whopper shad are the best in my opinion
I've caught some of my best channels on cut bait fresher the better but for big flathead's live three to four inch bluegills.
This year was super tough for them where I live so midsummer I started Bass fishing again.

I've never caught a catfish on Corn either Mate but I heard it's great for Carp
Corn is great for carp.
Circle hooks are the way to go for cats. They literally hook themselves. Nice side by side. I use hot dogs and corn and boilies on a hair rig with circle hooks.

Just caught 3 catfish today using hotdogs,minced garlic,garlic powder,chicken breast and 3 packets of grape kool-aid
Those stink baits are great for clearing your crowded fishing spots......guy came next to me and did that(luckily I was leaving anyways 😂) but I knew what he was up to. He kept the bait open, added water, sat next to me and kept mixing it for like 10 minutes.

Those catfish are skinny. You should put some clams and snails in the pond to fatten them up. They clearly aren’t getting enough forage.

What setup yall use?
You don't need a treble hook. The hot dogs will stay on a single barb. I do it all the time and just had to adjust to a smoother cast.

I used hotdogs for years. Kids are able to hook their hotdog bait easier than worms or dough bait. The cheaper the hotdogs the better. Even better if you leave the hotdogs out overnight. Nice and stinky and oily to leave a trail in the water.
I microwave it makes it lil more sturdy
Imma say this right now, I've been doing really well with Magic Bait liver and cheese balls. Stays on the hook alright could be better but the smell is god awful and they love it. If there's channel catfish where your fishing they should bite on it.
Liver and cheese is great i suggest you try whopper shad works just the same but doesn't smell as bad
How do you bait a hotdog on a treble hook? Do you cut 3 pieces and cover each point? Or you cover 2 and leave one exposed? I always use a single hook and never a treble hook, can you please explain how you do it?
I just push the eye of the treble up through the bottom of the hotdog

Nice fish you caught. I have never used the liver and cheese before but I have used magic baits shrimp and chicken blood. It works well. I've used hot dogs before. I like it better than magic bait. It's caught more fish on hot dogs than magic bait. Yesterday I was fishing with hot dogs and caught two fish off of the hot dogs. From Jordan
At first I was surprised that hot dogs make such a good bait for catfish, but then I remembered my dad and I used to do trot-line fishing, and he would put pieces of liver on his hooks. That's how we caught a 20lb flathead catfish.

i was thinking of trying hot dogs on my trotlines lol. wonder how good they would do for less then 20 dollars i can bait 500 hooks. if i drive to dam and get bait its like 10 in gas and like 2 hours fishing so hot dogs would be a little cheaper overall. just not sure if they catch as good as fresh skipjack.

If you don’t like treble hooks I use gamakatsu nautilus hooks or the tournament grade drop shot hooks

I use magic bait in California, Arizona and Nevada. It is great and catches plenty catfish
The one I use is Crayfish with chicken blood. All the others do not work so well or not at all.
Give it one more try with crayfish and chicken blood please. It may work for you. Nice video and keep your lines tight

The chicken blood bait is money, it's the only one I'll use after trying the others. Liver and cheese works good too but chicken blood works great. I'll usually rig up 2 cat lines, one with chicken blood bait and the other I'll usually use cut bait or chicken livers, and I'll usually catch at least 5 or 6.

I use the stink dough as a lure. Hot dog marinated in asian fish sauce over night works everytime

@@5050fishing I'm sorry I meant, using them to attract catfish. Like throwing those dough in the water around the pond or near your area, so those cats will start hunting for bait.

To be completely accurate catfish school up in one area. . Should’ve rotated the bates on the rod holder. See if the mr catfish would catch a fish where the hotdogs was and vice versa.
I nearly caught a 10lb+ catfish I was taking out the water snapped the line off of fresh cut bream head and hot dogs work like the smell of pizza at new york the catfish never get tired of them (did anyone get the joke? Lol) well thx on the review I was wondering if I should get some of the dough balls but I know now possible not I'm prob still gonna try them but thanks again merry christmas (if you celebrate) and have a good new year (2020)😊

Ryan Jablonowski we tried. Circles wouldn’t keep the hotdogs on. I always use circles when on the rivers and lakes when I’m using Cutbait.
