  • The Abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike is a 13-mile stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike bypassed in 1968 and includes the Sideling Hill Tunnel and Rays Hill Tunnel. Today it sits overgrown and covered in graffiti but is open to the public to hike and bike. On the day that we were there there were a lot of other people on bikes, 4-wheelers, motorcycles, and hiking.
