Not the Candyman slander!!! lol I’m glad you checked this out though because this was my first thing I ever saw Tony Todd in and I became an instant fan. This remake is really underrated, in my opinion. Sure, it throws the subtlety of the original out the window, but I love the updated touches, like Barbara being a more empowered character and giving the audience a somewhat hopeful ending. I only wish Ben would have had a different fate in this too. Anyway, thanks for another great reaction and looking forward to the next!
Boarding the doors was a stupid idea if you really think about it. All that banging is what attracted most of the zombie to the house. They should have boarded up the house while it was still daytime and there was only a few zombies around.
This was the first zombie movie I had ever seen, maybe even the first horror movie. Tony Todd is a legend with the voice of a god. May he rest in peace.
Great choice! Tom Savini the master of gore effects (and frequent collaborator with George Romero) actually made his directorial debut with this film. He made a smart choice with that fake out in the opening cemetery scene. Everyone familiar with the original was expecting that first old man to be the zombie again... but then expectations defied and you get another zombie jumping on screen. Great jump scare for anyone's first time watch! 👍
Glad you reacted to this film since its free on youtube. Tony been in so many excellent stuff and always stood out like his appearances in Star Trek the next generation and deep space nine as Worf's brother kurn and an older Jake Sisko in one of the show's best episodes as well as in hercules the legendary journeys where he basically out acted everyone on screen.
The old guard are all going. All the people we grew up watching. Never thought Tony Todd would be gone this soon. He's going to appear in the next final destination film next year which he already filmed. Rest in power to the king of horror Tony Todd.
Tony Todd will be deeply missed! super talented, and I will admit I didn't care for Candyman but I liked part 2 and 3 but never cared for part 1. But i'll say this, NO ONE 20 years from now or more if they ever remake Candyman NO One can replace Tony Todd as the Candyman. On to this movie. I've seen both the original and this one and I'm kinda glad they Gave Barbara a personality change from the original Barbara .Also I recall this film being the first time I ever saw a character getting a fashion glow up. Barbara starts out as a nerdy girl wearing grandma's sweaters school teacher skirts and transforms into a riffle packing Denim queen.. I hope you get a chance to react to Return of the living dead from the 1980's in the future, I think you'll get a kick out of the names for two of the characters. But I wont give too much away except if you remember the blonde girl with the lipstick in Night of the Demons she's back. she's in return of the living dead, and she's one of the two characters with unique names.
Hey Sista!! Happy Fright Night Friday hahah lmao. RIP Tony Todd legendary actor!!! He’s been quite a lot of movies like Candyman, Platoon, Night of the living Dead, The Crow, and Transformers Revenge of The Fallen!!! RIP legend🕊️
I was 1 years old when this came out. I got to watch it i was 7 or 10 and it gave me nightmares lol. I was 23 when i saw it again when it would be watchable on the video game called Playstation Home you could watch tv in the social game and sony partnered with a streaming app that happened to have that movie in it's selections so i watched it with a few friends and i thought about how freaky it still looked 15+ years later lol i think it was better then the original. Speaking of the original one my mother almost had got to play a zombie when she was still young when it came out she met the creature of the living dead series she got dressed up and makeup done by George himself she would had gotten a role as a zombie but her mother forced her to not do it. So what she end up doing was scaring other kids while she was still dressed up like a zombie and almost got in trouble lol. We live in Pittsburgh the place the film was made in she's passed away years ago but she liked telling me stories of people she met when shewas younger i thought it was kinda cool.
Lol, I thought that gentleman 'next' to you was a friend or spouse, or something. But, then it looked more like someone maybe from the movie you were watching, and then I recognize it's the 'Candyman', lol.
I love the beginning tribute to Tony Todd. I also prefer the original but Tony Todd did a great job. I like 1990 Barbara better. The original Barbara irks my nerves lol.
All that damn banging with the hammer and nails was crazy and attracting the damn zombies. This house was in the country. I know they had a damn drill and some screws in the house. Cooper's character should have remained the same as he was in the original movie and just remained an asshole that was scared and not making him an abusive husband that didn't care for anyone else. Making Barbara a powerful heroine of the movie while making Ben a guy who wasn't that smart and too confrontational was unnecessary. Ben was more level-headed in the original and tried to maintain a little sense of calm in the original.
RIP to the legend Tony Todd 😢😢
I watched all his films and his acting was Oscar worthy
Nice tribute to the legend Tony Todd at the start of the movie. Thanx for that Sista.
And it was Barbara for the win!!! Rest in Peace Tony Todd, you will be missed.❤
The reaction video disclaimer look had me hollering. Another great reaction.

This is one of the few horror remakes that I actually enjoy. It used to come on HBO a lot when I was in middle school. We used to watch it a lot

Todd was several days older than Denzel Washington who was born on the tail end of December 1954.

R.i.p. Tony Todd.

Great video. Tony Todd did all the horror movies 🎥
That's hella funny zombie came in there at 26:50 with arms wide open. Making a statement
Forgot about Lean on Me! Tony Todd not only the king of horror

The original was better overall, but Barbara's character was actually useful and less annoying.
Can you react to revenge of the nerds or the never ending story. Lol
