I already did a $40 Challenge once and I was surprised how much I was able to get with it. This time I'm challenging myself a little more and only allowing myself to spend $20 in a day. With $20 I was able to feed myself, have a drink, take transportation, and was able to entertain myself with some free stuff. You'll see. I mainly did this video so you can see that you don't have to break the bank in order to have fun on the Las Vegas Strip or Downtown. Make sure you watch the video but I went to Ocean's One, Monorail, Downtown Loop, American Coney Island, Lanai Express, Atlantis Show, and CVS, plus a few other surprises. Wow Norma, that was quite a fun day for just $20. The free thing I love doing when I go to Vegas is going to yard sales. I know, it's not very Vegas like, but I always get to see different areas of town and meet lots of great people. I love your videos and can't wait to see the next one. Thanks Norma.

Dang Norma, I didn't know the monorail was a dollar for locals, I spent $13 on a day pass for myself when taking family around the strip. Great video, I love the hot dog deals but I wish Slots of Fun still had there $1.50 foot long.
Last time i went a few months ago they did, but i think its was only weekends and it was a smaller dog

Years ago Slots of Fun had a foot and a half dog for .99 and a margarita for .99. Yes, that has been a while. lol

Fun video. I just got back from Vegas yesterday. $20 definitely wouldn't get me very far. Glad to see Lydia stop by. I enjoy when you two hang out together. Lydia is very cool and I love her on camera personality and you two have good chemistry together on camera.

Love your videos as they are so helpful as Vegas changes so much and there's something new to see. I've been coming to Vegas since 1999 almost every other year. I retired a few years ago due to the pandemic and my last trip to Vegas was in 2021. Couldn't believe the sky-high food prices as prices weren't that bad in 2019. I like the updates on public transportation as I worked in alternative transportation and not everyone has a car or wants to drive or is able to drive. Taxis, Uber, Lyfts add up quickly so I do use a 3 day bus pass but I hadn't heard of the free Loop so that's something I'll have to try the next time I visit Vegas. Love seeing the conservatory at the Bellagio, one of the free great things to do. You do a great job! Lou

for a local, the $20 dollar challenge is Great. However, from the perspective of a visitor on vacation, i was not blown away with what's possible on a $20 spending limit. It was amazing what you could find back then. Good to see there's still some cheap eats around.
Random..but one thing I miss about Vegas is their public transit system. It's cheap and runs often. You can usually get everywhere with the bus and A little walking. Helped me stay in shape when I lived their years ago.
Norma you such a wonderful person honest beautiful & very helpful to people coming to Vegas.
If you ever come to NYC or have friends there I own a club you are more than welcome to come & enjoy some VIP style treatment.

Another Stellar Video. The $1 monorail pice is for all NV residents. I use it often when I am in town.
On a budget, ok, even when I am not on a budget, my go to place is In n Out. But, that breakfast place looked like its a good deal too. I suspect no cow was hurt in the making of that hot dog. 🙂

When I lived there in the 1970's $.99 all you can eat breakfast with OJ< soda, coffee ect. Lunch $1.99 same deal with lunch stuff like a burger, fries, dogs, sandwiches. Dinner was $3.99 all you could eat buffet style, all ethnics kind of food, rice, chow main, roast beef, baked potato, and the dessert bar would take about a minute to walk around and be picky- choosy. Downtown was a little more, the show boat is were my family ate every Friday night. My mom would play keno for me (I was 10-12) I won many times on $1 bets. $100-300 hits. My mom never kept a penny, and tipped the keno girls out of her own pocket. Mom's are so great! I like seeing Vegas now through your eyes. Thanks!

Hi Norma. Love your videos. If you are open to thoughts on future videos, one on the best hotels and attractions for those with mobility issues would be good. Vegas is notorious for long walks to get around, which can be limiting to those in wheelchairs or can’t walk well. Im sure that many would appreciate knowing which hotels, etc. are easiest to get around. 👍

Ellis island has a lot of amazing cheap eats. Hash a go go is a little bit more pricey but the portions are huge!

That was funny how you showed the wedding event at a Denny’s … I remembered that you made fun of Denny’s in your standup. The Silver Sevens used to have “Meatball Monday” a decent portion for $4.77. Although it was recently discontinued, they might start a new special. In that same CVS on the strip, the pieces of fruit are good, in a basket near the drinks, for only 99 cents for a banana, orange or an apple. (Healthy too). Thanks for the tip on the noom, sounds amazing.
