Greetings Ruby. I have and I love it. Before the great plague of 2020-21 I would stay in downtown and the Main Street Station Buffet was always one of my favorite stops. I love the decor and the food. I am so glad your review was positive and I am coming out in March 2022. Thanks for a great review and take care girl.
Yes! Years ago we asked someone working in a different casino if their buffet was good and they totally recommended Main Street Station buffet instead! We've been frequenting it ever since!
Will you PLEASE do a video on best hotels on the strip that are under or around 100$ a night With or without the resort fees. Going in January during the week so I know they're cheaper weekdays. But want to know your opinion on what ones are the better ones to stay at..stayed at one of the Luxor towers a little while ago and it wasn't dirty or anything just different I guess lol
You know Ruby! i think/believe in 2022 you are reaching a HUGE RUclips milestone, with a well deserved platinum plague. It's time you are recognized for your creative ideas, content, & hard work.
I was living in Las Vegas when Main Street opened. The buffet back then was the best bargain in town. Yes, there were others more opulent--MGM, Rio, Mirage. But Main Street had the best bang for the buck. Nice to see they're bringing it back again.
3:45 Portuguese sausage, scrambled egg plus rice is a very common fast food break fast plate in Hawaii. Many of the Downtown Vegas hotels (especially Boyd's properties) cater to Hawaiian crowds so it's good to see that they have it for their breakfast buffet.
I just enjoyed the Main Street buffet last week. It is very much worth the trip. The food is very good and the service was wonderful. The desserts were my favorite. Loved the sugar free cheesecake. Highly recommended.
Always enjoyed this buffet, but it used to be like $14 for lunch just a couple years ago. Crazy how much things have increased in price in a short time.
Ruby - you're going to hit your 100k soon. Keep up the great job. I've sent your links to lots of friends and family, many of which are execs in the F&B industry and every one of them have replied back with how much they enjoy them and now follow you. Keep being you! :)
Hey Ruby. I’m coming to Vegas from the U.K. for my first ever trip to the states in August and your videos are so unbelievably helpful. I’ve even got a few pages of “Ruby’s tips” in the little notebook I’ve started. So a thousand thank you’s bringing a bit of Vegas to me before I go. I was wondering, do you have any tips for someone who’s coming to Vegas on their own? I’m in town for a convention but will have a few days either side to explore but I’ll be on my own unless I can make some friends while I’m there. Have you made any videos specifically for solo travellers or do you plan on doing any at some point? Thank you again.
Great review! I love the way you describe food in all of your videos. I’d almost bet money you have experience in some kind of culinary arts! Looking forward to many more reviews 😎
Have you tried Blueberry Hill on Decatur & Flamingo! It's Very good. I looove their Turkey dinner. They don't skimp on their portions! And their desserts are amazing❤❤😃everything is good there tho..
We have gone there many times, but the price has skyrocketed. It was surprising that you didn’t have the shoyu chicken! That’s where we discovered it and now we cook it at home. Your reviews are really honest and informative; well done!
For whatever it's worth my Dad owned a buffet throughout my childhood but I hit this recently and it was surprisingly quite solid. Clean, the hostess came frequently and was nice, the selection was more than I expected and everything was very nice. Nothing bland whatsoever. Seriously, only negative was an eclair that was very very hard. Wouldn't even deduct points though. Definitely the buffet spot on Fremont, will be back for sure.
Another one of my favorite places to eat and gamble at Mainstreet the buffet is pretty good and you get a discount with your players card and can use comps or points to pay win win
We went to the Main Street Station buffet a few weeks ago. What I noticed on your video was that you missed the best part of the breakfast which is the omelette bar. You can go have them make an omelette for you and I had it and it was excellent! Another item that I also tried was the pork chop and it was excellent! The only problem we encountered was some of the food was a little cold. The desserts that we tried left a little to be desired but maybe they have improved them since we have been there. We only found one that we liked and I can’t remember which one it was. We were wondering how good it would be because of the price but all in all we thought it was pretty good. We always enjoy your videos Ruby. My favorite video of yours was the opening of Resorts World. You did an excellent job!.
I’ll be at the Golden Nugget July 18-22 celebrating my birthday & was wondering how the Main Street is now & your review tells me it’s a must. Thanks for your video.
20 years ago I stayed in Las Vegas for 42 days. When I needed to stretch my money, I ate one meal a day at the Main Street Station buffet. It was the best cheap buffet in Vegas!
I've ate there multiple times when I was given food credit for overnight stays at The Cal. Since The Cal doesn't have a buffet, it was just an easy walk over the covered bridge to Main Street.
One of the first useful things I ever read on the internet in the late 90s was a review of Vegas buffets by a local. I remember he liked the "station" buffets and said that is where the locals went. There are quite a number of them. I wonder what the term "station" means if anything.
Station Casinos has 8 hotel/casinos in the Las Vegas area that many locals and value conscious tourists visit, pre Corona virus they all had affordable buffets. Since 2020 Station's Casinos which is owned by Red Rock gaming have eliminated buffets as a cost savings measure.
I've eaten at the Garden Court buffet. It's a good deal. The food is good but not amazing. The dining room is really pretty and spacious. It's the best buffet downtown.
We were there last month three times and yes the buffet is very good. You should have got the omelet to order at the omelet station, it was really good and they pack it full of whatever you want. Ya this buffet is very worth what you pay.
Stayed there and had the buffet a few times for breakfast at the time it was really cheap (12.99) I loved it. I don’t eat buffets as a rule but this one I liked :)
You make it look so good and it is! I’ve been eating there since it was under $10, was it $5.99 or $6.99 with a Players Card, always enjoyed it, stay safe…🤙🏼
8:38 it’s beef but you may have meant that. Isn’t this buffet known for its Polynesian/Hawaiian food? I loved the kalua pork & beef stew (pretty authentic)
Hi Ruby! Love your videos! Went to Main St Station buffet this week on a visit. We were disappointed. The corned beef hash was the best item there ( I believe it came out of a can) The mock loco had egg shells in it😮 Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Keep up the great work!
Can you do a short video on the hold fees from different hotels? It's something that's usually overlooked since everyone is focused on the resort fees. Watching this video convinced me to try this buffet as I’ll be there next week and we will need a few options! I enjoy all your videos and trust your judgement🌸 and yes this might be where we go for our thanksgiving meal!
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if I never went and ate at a buffet again after the whole covid thing.
