ya i think its only 'worth it' if u use the BOGO myvegas, 30$ for two is a hot deal! full price is not imo , problem is GL getting that bogo rewards, its never instock! smh
Honestly, Excalibur has always been one of my favorite buffets. We were there last week and there were some amazing dishes. Standouts for me were the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. Oh, and the pizza! It was so good! The French toast was amazing and didn't even need syrup. I loved the flavor of the tortellini with sausage but it was a little cold. My fiancé got the biscuit and gravy which wasn't bad, I just thought the gravy wasn't as flavorful as I like. My fiancé really enjoyed the sushi. (I don't like sushi) for dessert I liked the eclair (it feels stale when you pick it up but it's actually not. It was clearly frozen at one time but it's super soft inside and tastes really good) and the German chocolate cake. Normally I love their crepes, but I was too full to get one by the end of my meal.
I have a three night comp at Excalibur in mid December, with a 6am flight from one end of North America to the other, and once I check in, unpack, get bets down on the second half of the NFL, NBA and NHL, I’m going to grab some pancakes, French Toast and other stuff to the point I’ll need nothing but soda at the Golden Knights game that night :)
Honestly for an all you can eat, even just "acceptable" quality, $25 is really good for Vegas. You wind up paying that for a standard meal a lot of the time unless you go for food court, which isnt even that much cheaper a lot of the time. I'm glad there's a buffet option for a bit less than the others, especially south strip.
I have the palette of a 15 yr old. I would enjoy 99% of everything you tried. I think the price point is good. But with that being said I probably wouldn't go outta my way for the buffet @Excalibur. Thank you for the video. Stay safe and stay silly.
i agree but it becomes a lot more of an attractive deal with myvegas bogo. if you plan on doing a whole strip day adventure and decide so start at the south end its a cheap way to start brunch/lunch. i prefer to spend on dinner not earlier meals
As always, your reviews are very fair. You pointed out both pros and cons. I would try this buffet especially if I got a BOGO. Would say it is well worth the price.
video posted 14 minutes ago? cool! haha 1. clicked the like button :) 2. The Excalibur Buffet is honestly one of my favorites buffets in vegas! I know it's kinda basic without all the fancy food options, but that's actually exactly why I love it - as I don't eat all the seafood and other fancy things like caviar etc... So with the Excalibur Buffet I get a nice variety of "regular" food that I love, at a decent price - a win! :) For example, I once went to The Wicked Spoon, paid a lot (!) of money, and honestly didn't eat almost anything they had to offer... 3. ok, let's click the play button now and watch the video :)
Was there at it last week. $140.00 for 3 adults. Beer was 20 extra and only Michelob light and Bud Light. No Premium beers offered for the extra money. Was pissed and felt ripped off. It was my birthday so it was a f it moment.
You are a true foodie...there is alot of stuff I would never try! I enjoy all your videos. I have to dance everytime I hear the intro... I've been waiting for you...you! 😄
I stopped going to buffet's when parents stopped being parents and let their kids go wild touching everything. Parents your children are Not special and it doesn't cost anything to teach manners.
This version of the Excalibur buffet is better than the previous one. As Ruby said, get the 2 for 1 coupon, it makes this buffet a good buy-otherwise $25 is overpriced for one.-The meats are good.
I just came back from vegas. We ate here and everyone agreed it was really good! Out of all the buffets I tried, I'd put this one at the top of the list.
We ate breakfast there in February 2019 and they had these breakfast sausages made with Hatch green chilis and cheese. For a green chili lover they were amazing. I hope they have those again, but I've a feeling they're gone. I'd done some research and they were unique for the Excalibur buffet it seemed.
All you can Vegas was there and they ate the eggs and they said it was extremely cold but I guess you get what you get when you're paying that price point
Very good review. One of your best. If you can get a BOGO it's a definite go. My first plate would be ham from carving station, a loaded compete, the potatoes you like and a biscuit and gravy. Everything Ruby approved. . 2nd plate, brisket and turkey. How can you go wrong with the no-go? I'm wondering if they had smoked salmon. Love that in 1/2 a bagel , cream cheese, tomato and red onion. 👍
After you ate the bread pudding and said, "oooo", that was so Midwestern! I'm from Minnesota and I heard that a mile away! Love that shirt you're wearing, need it in a men's style!
Looks like a low cost buffet. Nothing fancy just cheap. If you were low on cash this seems to be a good spot. Never could figure out buffets serving sushi.
My Southern Foodie roots are picky about biscuits and gravy! One of the best was at a hospital cafeteria though!?🤷♂️🥸 Another one closed years ago when the owner went "California Cuisine" crazy and ruined his business model! I'm content with a plate of meat including bacon, so it's good to hear those are flavorful enough!
Hi Ruby, you can really tell by your reaction to some of the food. That your underwhelmed by the buffet. But for the price it's not bad. Love your videos! Hopefully the gravy didn't ruin your sweet roll. Lol. Till next time.
I think most people would like the 5.99 buffet from years ago. I'm old and remember people talking about it. food waste is a big problem for the owners don't thing 25.00 is a big deal for vegas
Whenever we stay at Excalibur we have breakfast at the buffet. The made to order omelets are pretty good. I always have that. I also have those chorizo potatoes she mentioned and fresh salsa. That for me is worth it plus the convenience if you are staying there. It's our go to for breakfast.
can not wait for the main street station buffet review ,opens again this month lol prob similar to excaliber but cheaper still youtubers need to do more boyd property reviews :)
I remember going to Main Street station the last time I stayed downtown. Not sure what it costs now, but back then it was $10 per person for lunch, not including the drink. Really good deal
Just wanted to share this with you...I broke my leg on a broken sidewalk going to check-in at Caesars, so we were very limited but still went ahead and saw shows and made most of our reservations (we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary). I gotta tell you Lavo's weekend brunch was one of our favorites, they were sooo nice, and the food was incredible!!! We also enjoyed Nine Fine Irishmen, and Hugo's Cellars (although broke leg right after we left and didn't get to enjoy the steak....it was my leftovers), Chicago Pub was great, and the High Roller with the bar was FABULOUS (GET THE BAR)!! Bacchanal Buffet although waitress was nice, the one seating us was quick to tell me that I would be in the way and I needed to use crutches so my husband ran the whole time (try caring a plate and crutches?) and that would have been fine, if she hadn't let someone at least 20 years younger than me go along with her scooter (she almost ran over one man and was driving crazy...she had a wrap around her knee and honestly didn't look like she was hurting at all?) I'm gonna tell you ...breaking your leg and having to use Handicapped for everything really opens your eyes!! The places we LOVED, we above and beyond and shows Criss Angel and Absinthe will work with you to help you. I normally get around just fine...so maybe this will help someone with mobility issues?
@@intelizWild Sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches, and honestly Caesars was pretty nice, but Bacchanal really ticked me off (they didn't know that I broke my leg on their sidewalk, but that shouldn't matter). BACCHANAL SUCKS!! It was an eye opening experience, how handicapped people are treated....either really nice, or just horrible! Experienced more nice than horrible, thank goodness!
How would your rate the 3 from my vegas. Bellagio, MGM and Excalibur buffets. I heard Bellagio is pretty over priced for what it is and MGM wasn't much better.
The restaurant that u were look ing for at Balleys is now in residence at the Excalibur for those in the no! Uninsured workers ok food! ObieJuanKaNoBee!
Am I crazy or wasn’t there also a video that reviewed the hotel and casino?? From the title, it didn’t look like it was a pleasant stay (which isn’t a shocker). Did it get taken down? I’ve never had the buffet here. My visits to Excal have always been pretty brief but I don’t think it’s horrible by any means. If I could get a BOGO, I’d try the buffet I think! Especially now when there aren’t a ton of other buffet options.
This is the reason why buffets are not so cheap anymore. She served herself huge amounts of food and just took a couple of bites. Full plates of food went to the trash. And then she expected too much for a §24 dollar buffet.

I agree on the previous comments on myVEGAS on getting the buy one get one free - it’s always sold out.
Dumb question; do both ends of the buy 1 get 1 have to be used the same day and in the same visit? Or could a solo traveler use both on separate days?
I love the way you provide reviews. Not too lenient. Not too strict. Great insights, descriptive, and you cut to the chase.
Honestly, Excalibur has always been one of my favorite buffets. We were there last week and there were some amazing dishes. Standouts for me were the mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. I was also happy that they had sweet tea!!
if you like sushi at excalibur..u got some weak ass taste buds
Yeah...reviewers can trash talk anything they want. One can't simply just walk out of an $80 buffet and trash talk about a $25 buffet.
So I'am Now Reading this on 7/29/23 How Would you Rate This Buffet , And by the Way Happy 1 Year of Being Married.

Thanks Mrs Ruby- I think you said it all. However, for the price , specifically if you get the 2 for 1 would be a plus. It does beat Luxor’s Buffet .

exactly correct!, , I noticed 1 bottle of water is $5. 1 slice of pizza is $9., if you go to resort world, they want $0.75 cents for ketchup.

Ruby? You and Mister Ruby MUST go review Dick's Last Resort at The Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Yes, this is a dare. LMAO!
I would eat there. Thanks Ruby for the heads up on what to skip 👍
The crushed ice at the beverage bar is why I go there for breakfast when I'm there.
Sunset Station in Henderson has the best and most reasonable priced buffets. I miss them but not all the calories I used to co consume! 😋
Completely agree! Rent a car and skip the strip.
We were there last Monday (August 30th) had the breakfast buffet. It was really good and the staff was really friendly 👍

Hi Ruby, I just found your channel and hubby and I will be in Vegas next month. I'm wondering how do we get the Vegas reward for the 2 for 1 at the Excalibur buffet?
It is a reward on the MyVegas app!
Looks pretty basic, but for the price, you can't bet it. I'd give it a try. Thanks, Ruby, we love your videos!
"It's nothing amazing". It's Excalibut. The only thing approaching "amazing" there is the steak house, which is shockingly good. Everything else - "meh" at best, on a good day.
If your going to do low cost buffets try the Circus Circus buffet.
There are better buffets elsewhere, excellent video, good info
I'm surprised how much everything went up since we went in the early 90's.....Most of the buffets looked messy?
I actually salivate while watching you eat girl! 👍🤗
