Danish Pastry is the little round sweet thing, Scone is like a sweet biscuit, often made with raisins or blueberries. Oh, the Chicken fried steak is a beef patty, dipped in flour & fried like chicken
That closed part is where the Chinese and Mexican food used to be. This buffet was even better before. The all you can drink weekend brunch was great too.
I miss the collard greens , ham hocks , black eyed beans and the brisket that was served there for years at least over 10 years . Plus the Asian / Mexican section that is still closed down . After The pandemic they never brought this back . Still my favorite buffet downtown vegas even with the raised prices . Manny the omelet man is the man . The flower in her hair hostesses is so nice too My Favorite In vegas That cheers me up ever time I go eat . ✌🏼❤️🎰🎲🎲💰👍
Yeah i miss the mexican section and the asian section, plus the bigger dessert selection. Hopefully they bring it back. This was my go to buffet for brunch on my morning hangovers at fremont st.
Helpful Hint, the Main Street Station buffet is nothing special, $20-22 for breakfast is a bit much even if you get the made to order omelet and other hot breakfast foods that they have. It's ok for lunch though. Usually there are no long lines even for dinner because it's not that popular.
SOLID call. I have been to Main Street a few times and this video is 100% correct. An out-of-the-way place that is not frequented by as many as it should.
Boyd has strong ties with Hawaii so that is why their casinos and restaurants have Hawaii style stuff, especially The California. Even the corned beef hash and Portuguese sausage are staples in Hawaii. Cool that they are trying the loco moco again. I hope it is there when I go in two weeks haha. I think last year they tried that but in casserole form. And I actually boil the chicken in the shoyu marinade. The dinner buffet takes up the rest of the buffet stations at night. Fat kid tip, use the cereal bowls for the soft serve and add one of those weak cookies haha. Thanks for sharing. Getting me excited for my trip haha.
Love all your videos and making notes ft or my next trip there on January, i like this place but how do u get to get to emerald level to pay the 19 only???
Seen better bar at Golden Corral but we was in Vegas two weeks ago and with the vegas prices you can’t beat it we ate at the Ellis Island Thanks For Sharing
A little after 4 a.m., had a stomach virus, not ate in four day's.😂 Officially ready to eat after this!! I'm Southern & I honestly hate green's.🤢 Is this tuna in the corned beef hash!?🤣😂😆 Dude, I love you!!😎😎😎🤣
Glad you're not doing content of just the popular places.. I need to head to downtown more often, maybe I do go but I just never remember lol.. Another great video 🔥
A year ago my first time there. Was really good. 2 weeks ago I went back and it was 26- on a Wednesday noon visit. And was not good. They did have all those choices
I will tell you that our carrot cake slice at Harrah's metropolis IL would feed three people... It's huge but we don't have a buffet ..it's in our steak house Bridges .. I know this because I work at that casino ..and take a slice home every so often and it's takes three of us to eat it ...also it's made by ...oops
@@ryantodd6978 probably no more than 7 years ago but no less than 5 years ago. That property used to be amazing value with the $2 draft beer (solid draught) deal at triple 7. The buffet discount was only a couple bucks for ruby and emerald players but it didn't need to be a huge discount as the price was already so low.
Used to go to this buffet with my mom growing up. The desert station as a kid was my favorite! Lol surprised to see they have the end section closed off
One of the first things I noticed was how clean the serving line was! I have seen other places and they don't look appetizing with messy food all over. Maybe I need to go DT next visit. Been a long time since I've stayed there.
Assuming your visit to the Main Street Station buffet was in September 2022! We were in LV in June and July and they were closed, the entire venue. So pleased to see them back in business. The buffet was a favorite of mine for many years.
Ive learned never bother with the salads ..I love to try the meats and seafoods. If they have potatoes I will have them I also try like roasted veggies or fresh ones. But never the pastas too filling and usually they are dry... Save room for deserts .
Was as this buffet on Monday around noon. I was quite underwhelmed with the options. Maybe it was an off day. Everything I tried was delicious but was missing many dishes shown in this video. 😕
I am gonna be the Debbie Downer and I think we've greatly accepted the lowered standards/inflated prices of the Vegas Buffets and that makes me sad puppy.
Love that the local Hawaiian food caught your eye first! Shoyu chicken and rice is god tier. Cannot be beat. Back when I was keen on macros, I would use a regular recipe but substitute the sugar for Splenda. Still bomb. Good video!
Underwhelming is what really describes the Main Street Station buffet, nothing special. Ok, but not good, lots of frozen food, boxed food, canned items. Golden Corral is better. $20-22 for breakfast is too much even if you get the omelets & other hot breakfast items that are defrosted frozen foods- pancakes, French toast, crepes. For lunch you'll also overpay due to the selection. Dinner is only on Fri, Sat and carved meats aren't always offered.
not the same quality or selection as the bigger hotels on the strip but this is basic food that is acceptable and good enough.. the best thing i see is no LINE !!!
@@emailuser8668 yep.. if i went to vegas today I would be eating here, what they serve here is like what you would get at Dennys so Im a happy camper, now for dinner i may want crab legs and stuff but a simple breakfast is what we all eat everyday even if we go out to eat at your local resturant.
I used to be a regular and even stayed at Main Street Station. That buffet has always been a bargain and been mostly very good. Yes they look to be cutting some corners but some of the stuff is very good. They used to have a wall of rotisserie chucking that would put Costco to shame. I don’t think I saw that. The Hawaiian section used to live at that very end where it was closed. At least they brought it to the new end. I’m guessing they open the rest for dinner. It may be worth a follow up to compare dinner offerings as it’s still a bargain. Nice fair review of what you had! There is a hidden gem in the place. In the center side of the casino just past the buffet and a little bit more, there is a hallway that leads to bathrooms. In the men’s bathroom the urinals are mounted into a large hunk of the Berlin Wall. I enjoyed the video and seeing you colas with Norma and the crew. I subscribed.
I have to say, I think this buffet has gone downhill. I normally stay on Fremont Street for two weeks at a time and I'd normally eat here everyday for breakfast but my most recent trip (Come back two weeks ago) I only ate here 3 times in a two week period. The price has gone up, the selection has gone down and the quality has gone down. It was already a very basic buffet compared to the others that were around but it's got worse. Now, will it stop me eating there during my next trip? Probably not as I have low standards but certainly won't be everyday like it once was. Sad really as it's the only buffet downtown now.
Helpful Hint: do yourself a favor, save money & avoid this mediocre buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner. High price for nothing special food. There are many restaurants outside the hotels downtown on Fremont Street where you can get a good breakfast, lunch for under $15.
Omg I hope that food tastes better than it looks. I'm a foodie and love to eat but 75% of that food didn't look good. I think u would skip this buffet whenever I come back to Vegas 🤢

In case you forgot Hawaii joined the USA in 1959.

Great review!
You're not phased by a hair in your food.
You continued to eat what was on the plate.
You the man! 😎
Little hair didn't kill nobody haha
Thanks for the video! Really solid buffet and glad they opened it back up.
Same here brother
The Hawaiian Beef Stew and Pork and cabbage are excellent. The breakfast offerings are well prepared and very yummy.
The "blueberry something" is a blueberry scone. 😎 Love the review! Can't wait to hit that in December!

Great answer to the reason why you stay in shape while doing this buffet video. Good shit!
Thanks John!
Nice thing about Hello Fresh is that you can try food you wouldn't normally try.
THAT'S SOME DELICIOUS LOOKING FOOD 😋. GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT. THANKS FOR SHARING, KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT JOB 👏👏
BROTHER- I JUST SUBSCRIBED, I really like your reviewing style, you speak the TRUTH and if you don't like something you let us all know!!!
I'm suprise they did not have prime rib in this buffet normally that's a must for all buffets
The berry roll is just danish, blueberry danish, cinnamon danish, cheese danish, pineapple danish, peach danish and apple.Yummy's!

!!! love that
Staying on Fremont in Sept., any other places down there you recommend?😊
I always eat at main street buffet before i head back to san diego.
It hit the spot honestly
Its a blueberry danish!!!! Great video as usual. I have never tried this buffet before. I will have to try it next time I'm in Vegas!!!

Good stuff and great price!

I am sure you are referring to the mainland USA. Las Vegas is referred to the 9th island affectionately by the Hawaiian people.

I usually get there once when I'm in town. Your right very well prepared food at fair price
Great job. Simple and fun. I always start with desserts.

Yikes. I remember when this was 7.99 and the rooms there went as low as $12/night with no resort fee.

It is clean but as far as the food goes, there's a lot better.

Yessir fairly decent 😌😌😌
We call that blueberry pastry a “kolache”. The Lutherans in Western KS make them and most are Germans
