    After I picked up my APX full size I found myself going to it for just about all my large 9mm applications. My Glock 17 and H&K VP9 don't see the light of day too much anymore. The Beretta APX is that good.
    Thanks for a nice review!

    Things many forget about the APX initially. (Aside from is nearly non existent recoil)
    1. Flared mags for forced stripping if it jams, which is never, but it certainly is nice to have
    2. All chassis, big, small, tan, green, compact, full size etc... all $40.
    3. The rear sight is a hook sight. If you are ever in a situation where you only have 1 hand, you can cock it off your belt or any grippy surface (ive tested this, surprisingly easy)
    4. Multiple trigger springs, recoil springs, slides and sights straight from Beretta available
    The list goes on. Its a masterpiece of a firearm. In my top 3 and the price is outstandingly accessible.

    I have the full size APX in 40W&S and 15 round magazines. Feels great, shoots accurately at 25 meters, high quality construction and hits hard with the 40 caliber. To each his own, but if anyone dislikes it and prefers a Glock, well, they don't know what they are missing. I dislike Glocks but I know what I am not missing, I carried a Glock on my job for a short period of time and did not like it (personal choice like anything else). My APX feels in a lot of ways like a 1911, it is that comfortable.

    Nice video, great review of beretta apx 9mm full size. I had mine mar. 2020. Fired at the range almost a thousand rounds now. It shoots great and flawless, with fmj/jhp. The slide go forward by pressing the mag release after being locked open after last round in the mag. And also, I’ve noticed, by sticking a fresh mag with a good hard tap while the slide is locked open, the slide moves forward automatically and strips a new round. I love this gun very much. 👍

    _The Beretta APX Line of Pistols_
    Good gun for sure but it is one of *_the least successful pistols_* that came out of the US Military test for a new sidearm (SIG P320 won that).
    The _Gun Industry loves it_ because they push anything that may make money. They would sell their mother if they could make a little money.
    Here are the negatives:
    - It is a wide gun. There are many slimmer pistol that hold 15 or more bullets.
    - Accessories are very limited for this gun. Not many aftermarket parts or holsters for the APX line of pistols.
    - The looks are a love it or hate it thing (this is not important but worth saying).
    Here are the positives:
    - It is inexpensive due to the lack of popularity (large supply, low interest)
    - It is a good gun for OWB use.
    Conclusion - IMO
    The Beretta APX line of pistols are one of those guns that are average but not outstanding.
    The gun will work well but there are better guns out there if you have more money (the excellent, HK VP9,
    the very popular Glock, the SIG 320 that beat the APX in the US Army competition, etc.)
    If you are of low income buy it (the APX). If you are poor though buy a Taurus PX4 or
    a Hi-Point. But if you have average income or above get a better pistol.

    Absolutely love everything about the APX. Beretta did a fine job on making this firearm. When they first hit the Canadian market I bought one only to find out that it did not come with extra back straps like in the US. I went so far as to contact the distributer ( Stoager Canada ) to find out why. There web site at the time stated that it came with 3 back straps as advertised in the US. When a rep for Stoager got back to me I was somewhat taken aback by the response that I got. The rep said that thier web site did not state anything about extra backstraps. The attitude from the Stoager rep via his response was very terse to my question about the discrepancy between Canada and the US markets offering three vs one backstrap. I wish that I had kept the e-mail and made a screen shot of the web sight where it stated that three backstraps where indeed included with the gun. I was made to feel like I was complaining with out having a reason to do so and that I should feel grateful for what I bought. The response also made me feel like I was somehow being disingenuous about my issue regarding the information on the Canadian web site. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the firearm but after dealing with the importer ( Stoager ) has left me thinking that I will never deal with or give my hard earned cash to such a company again.

    Ok dumb question. Bought mine recently from Superior outfitters. Took it out to the range. And to my knowledge it seemed pretty off-sight. Shots were going way to the left. Shot with steady hand and all. Curious. How should I sight this gun in? Hope that can be answered!

    • @BlackBearOutdoors
      @BlackBearOutdoors  3 года назад

      This is a question with multiple answers depending on a lot of factors. Firstly, are you a new or experienced shooter?

    • @allanpyka4052
      @allanpyka4052 3 года назад

      @@BlackBearOutdoors I would say I have about 6 years of experience shooting rifles and shotguns. However I hardly shoot handguns and only got this one for conceal-carry reasons and I wish to get better. So when it comes to handguns I’d say hardly any experience. I find I know how to operate the APX in terms of disassembling loading and etc. However I’ve only shot it once.

    • @BlackBearOutdoors
      @BlackBearOutdoors  3 года назад

      @@allanpyka4052 Usually a low left can be fixed with grip and trigger pull etc. Nothing beats formal training but I will link a Jerry Miculek video that could be very helpful. The APX also employs combat sighting which means that your front sight dot should cover the target you want to hit as opposed to the pumpkin on the post sight picture. ruclips.net/video/ChSazF41q-s/видео.html

    In your opinion apx is better than p320 m17?

    • @BlackBearOutdoors
      @BlackBearOutdoors  3 года назад +4

      In my subjective opinion I think so. The M17/P320 is a great gun and you can not go wrong with it, but I like the feel and sights on the Beretta more.

    • @lidijabacic8348
      @lidijabacic8348 3 года назад +1

      also beretta has a safer trigger, you dont need a safety like m17 (it is optional tho), it is more robustly built with two contact points on the chassis and wont shoot you in the ass if you drop it.

    I just the APX, it’s my first pistol. Quick question. Is the 9x19 mm Luger FMJ ammo a good ammo for this firearm?.

    • @BlackBearOutdoors
      @BlackBearOutdoors  3 года назад

      Yes. FMJ ammo is what we used in the video. It means it is a full metal jacket round and will not expand. Great for the range. Thanks for supporting our channel!
