Innoson and Kantanka are must-have cars. Nigeria and Ghana have spearheaded the car manufacturing industry in West Africa. Africans should drive Africa cars.

I'm so proud to be an African cos I know that God has really blessed us, highly intellectual personnels. If we continue in this way, promising next 20yrs, Africa will be in the top 3 continent in the Automobile industry on the globe.
Was shocked when I heard that the Ugandan government wasn't immediately supportive of the move to manufacture a bus with innovative technology. My word, this is welcoming news to know that Africa has delved into industrialisation by being makers of automobile and not just automobile but automobile with innovation. Countries within the Caribbean should support African car manufacturers by importing these automobile. Love this, more blessings to Africans who have ventured into this field.
AFABA=Africa For Africans by Africans. To invent, manufacture, develope, maintain and train other Africans to utilize the continent of Africa 🌍 nature resources to be self-sustaining. GOD Bless the continent of Africa🌍, all the people of Africa to make HIS Earth great again. This belief and prayer is sent from America by a Caribbean-American.
as someone raised in Mozambique I feel proud of this as well, and believe african peoples must integrate in the smartest ways possible so development can reach and improve life standards for all africans. And for the sake of Africa: Please empower your own culture and locals, stop your best brains and wills from fleeing unless it is for returning and making Africa great, stop believing in empty dreams from the empires that got rich at the expense of Africa's exploitation and empoverishment. Copy exactly their scheme and you will turn into wolves yourselves as well, so use your wisdom and creativity to make it your own and unique way. Also hopefully you turn into clean energies soon as well and stop fossil fuel consumption, but for a transitional stage it's a wonderful achievements. Love from Chile!

Nope. Of all the manufacturers shown here, only Innoson is actually currently involved in anything like mass production. It supplies buses and vehicles to the police and other security agencies in Nigeria.
The level of production of the above African made cars are not mass produced, but rather custom produced cars, with very low volume. This would make the cars expensive, and not for viable for mass production to cater for African markets. To start having African owned mass produced car, 1. African countries should collaborate 2. Joint venture with a Chinese Car Company, the expert in producing low cost car, good quality car. 3. Transfer of technology to African Company from the Chinese OE Company, - on automotive design engineering - for good products - automotive production engineering - for quality and effective cost 4. Start with Electric Vehicle - the world is going EV - higher performance, less components, new technology. Look at Tesla, only 10 years + to achieve the best electric car producer in the world.
That is already happening and have been for decades. Toyota, BMW, Hummer and Polo for the southern African region are manufactured in South Africa. Tesla will also be manufactured here soon. There is already a transfer of skills happening.
