You should have compared the black to the Chung Mu. It’s a fletcher class that is in the pan Asian line at tier 9. It also gets a radar and strong torps (that are not pedestrian in speed). It also gets smoke and engine boost. Plus the Chung mu goes faster. If you ask me there is no reason to spend money on black when Chung mu is already a fletcher class that has radar, except it’s actually decent.
Ah, great point. I forgot that the higher PA DDs are actually American. Even though, I'd say just Fletcher herself is still a better choice.
I preferred every Pan-Asian TT dd over the American dd's even if they cannot hit other dd's.
@@FunandGameswithTerry I’m not saying that you should take black over a fletcher. I’m saying that if you want a fletcher with radar, Chung mu is better
Fushun is an amazing DD, great DD hunter too… even though the torps are “useless”.

I have halland thats what i like extremely fast torps noone can able to dodge it until nd unless they predicted it

Good thing I didn't spend any gold on this thing lol. I just had that gut feeling that it was a mistake. Elbing and te=he rest of your line, time to get off your throne, there are even slower torpedoes now.

I can envision a role for it in a team play setting. Pesky long range anticipation pre fired torps. Unintended targets and area denial... Obviously the white line becomes useless so it's difficult to play. Possibly even getting around the backside of a flank like you did in the 2nd battle. There's other dds that can already do the same thing however for free. Imagine flanking on Cage center control when you can just about guess the relative battleship positions and going for the comeback kill more ships and flip the cap in the 2nd half of the game win. The radar might be useful on Epicenter. Smoke + radar is a good combo. It has more team friendly ability than a solo random battles warrior.

You are spotted in smoke, because there's smoke bug recently that nobody is acknowledging. Sometimes smoke works fine, sometimes it doesn't. I have no clue what triggers it.

What about playing like you do many cruisers. A support DD. Stick closer to your own team spotting and giving any attackers that extra pause. As you said, you would not provide much AA support, but with area denial torpedos, advance warning and miserable shells it may be rewarding to focus on preventing the sinking of your own team rather than padding your own kill stats with what are essentially worthless torpedos. Really, who plays the game that way? I am a hypocrite.
