  • This INSANE C5 Corvette Z06 built by Vengeance Racing cranks out an incredible 1100HP via an ALL MOTOR LS! It spins a mind blowing 9500RPM and puts it down through a PPG sequential gearbox. This is probably one of the coolest corvettes we've seen to date, becoming the worlds fastest naturally aspirated LS ever this past weekend at the WannaGoFast 1/2 mile in Ocala, FL.

      @eaglefat9398 6 лет назад +8

      while im all about big bore/ short stroke , LS bore max out at 4.185" so for this to be a 450cube that stroke is around 4.125" which is long as they get besides a Oldsmobile 455 with its silly long 4.25". mean piston speed has got to be wild.

    • @TheTmshuman
      @TheTmshuman 6 лет назад +5

      LS 7 bore spacing is 4.400" so it cant be that short even with Siamese sleeves. unless its a custom block. With a standard 454 crank throw of 4.00 and bore of 4.250 that shit would be screaming at over 110mph mid stroke. Even if it was a 4.500 bore & 3.570 or close it would still be about 98mph. My math must be wrong because I've got that piston at peak 5,840 G's. That's more than most v8 race motors.

  • @braveheart4lif31
    @braveheart4lif31 6 лет назад +3

    Lol... The number of people in the comments who are completely in denial over this is hilarious.
    The link below is from FIVE years ago, yes FIVE years ago. SAM Tech made 1064hp @ 9,000 rpms (engine would spin past 10,000 but it didn't make any additional power there). An engine which currently makes 1104hp, and is for sale if you'd like to unlock the secrets of 1100hp naturally aspirated LS engines ;)
    For those griping about piston speed, this engine again is 5-years old, it has run 8.01 in a stock style suspension F-Body @ 170mph+. Whatever they're doing, they've got it worked out.
    In regards directly to piston speed, this is only ~27% higher piston speed than a stock LS7 engine spinning a 4.000" stroke to 7,000 rpms. And this engine is completely optimized to carry out this task, it isn't some factory beater that's going to melt a piston from increased load.
    These engines don't use your standard off the shelf aftermarket pistons, rods, cranks, rocker arms, etc. The crankshaft likely costs ~$5,000 give or take, they are specially heat treated and cryoenically tempered to handle these increased loads. It's not just a billet callies off the shelf crank, and many of the other parts are the same way. It's taking the LS engine to its full potential.

    Badass! Wouldnt the car do alot better without the long gratuitous rolling burnout though? More traction, the better time?

      Dexter Sullen 'TRUTH' they will plateau eventually, and it won't be anywhere near 1100hp. There are two factors when calculating horsepower... rpm and torque. Assume they're making 600hp at 12k rpm with a 4 cylinder... that's 260 lb-ft of torque @12k. To get even 1000hp, they would either need to raise their max rpm to 20k (and maintain their torque output at that rpm), or they would need to make at LEAST 430 lb-ft of torque at 12k rpm. That's not happening from any current 4 banger or v6.
      Of course not all engines are going to have the same power band, but low displacement engines like v6 or I4s need revs to compensate for low torque (courtesy of low displacement), and they will never get 20k rpms.

    they must have stuck a flat plane crank in it, becuase flat plane engines rev alot higher then normal one, and the sound is so different that it souns similar to a super car, such as a mclaren, that said i could be wrong but i get the feeling thats one of the upgrades.

    • @sleeper.simulant7327
      @sleeper.simulant7327 4 года назад

      Jonathan Rutledge not necessarily, just need to destroke a cross plane crank, can easily attain 9500 rpm and make tons of power up top.

    why shifting too soon 5th and 6th gear? is that for the peak torque?

    • @lukep8406
      @lukep8406 6 лет назад

      Final drive is a torque multiplier, no reason to run anything taller than the top of whatever gear you want to trap in, and no way its going to pull gearing tall enough to finish in 4th at 193.
