I have always found that the spring charts are not always 100% accurate across most wastegates. A lot of it is dependent on wastegate merge and other factors. On the 7 pound only spring I was making 5-6psi. On the current spring combination I was actually seeing 11-12psi on 10lbs spring setup. It takes some trial and testing to figure out exactly what your car makes on each spring and then going from there. Best setup is to figure out which spring gets you close to your WG target and then use dome pressure to finalize.

There is so much variable on this. Could be turbo kit design. Turbo size. Engine displacment.

Iv got a 7lb spring in my 38 and it opens but still builds boost after 7…. Any knowledge on that?

Typically if your building boost after your spring target it is due to either undersized wastegate meaning it’s not able to vent enough off or pour wastegate placement

How big is the dump tube for that wastegate?
