The counterfeit reale looks like it may be a British gaming counter for playing with cards. They were imitating George 3rd Spade Guineas and had the Dei Gratia in the title. I think these were made well into the 19th century. Nice finds and great video. Andy
Awesome hunt chad! There are Spanish copper reales also. That coin may be one. I have found one in the past. I never knew until i had found the one i got. Awesome old coins and buttons and that musketball is huge! On the old stuff brother 👊 Wicked happy hunting!
Great video thanks for the time you spent in the heat. we enjoyed all your videos you have put out 94 here in north ga. Wanting to get out but the ac won't let me
The "counterfeit" coin looks like a British farthing (quarter of a penny). Dei gratia means "by the grace of God" and is on British coins as well as Spanish.
Braved the heat this week and was lucky enough to find some surprises at one of our early sites.
Awesome!
let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵

Thanks Andy!
I heard in some cases counterfeits can almost be worth more than the coin it's made to look like. Is that true?
Most definitely! @James-mm6jh I have a counterfeit cut 8 reale and that's what I was told about it also.
Congrats! Wonderful finds! I don't like the heat. Awesome things still showing up in your honey hole! Rk.
