May you better explain where is running the wires becouse is cofuse may show us where the wires come of at the botton more explain couse some time need an extra diode at the exit of the module of the alarm the reason is for no return the current positive to the module and avoid sound of siren suddenly
Hi JP could you send me the wire diagram for 2003 Chevy s10 I'm installing the excalibur AL-XX70-B and having a little trouble verifying the wires for install
@@n3ury1 bro, I asked different question. I understand what he is demonstrating, I’ve already been there captain. I am tracking. … I am wondering can you just go to the dome light where there normally is a switch for your door and use 1 wire instead of isolating each door trigger. No crying necessary. There is more than one way of doing things just wondering if there is a security reason for why someone may not want to do that besides having to use a longer run of wire.
Yes you can use just the dome light to trigger the alarm. Just make sure that the dome light comes on when either door is opened. Some vehicles do need to be isolated for each door but not all. I've been installing alarms since the 90s and never had to do this. Newer cars have CanBus and everything is running through the BCM. All wires needed for aftermarket alarms can be found there. Even better is the use of an immobilizer bypass. It cuts down a whole bunch of wires needed for a remote start install.
@@shoncarter3730 Thanks for the feedback, notes taken. I have only had a handful of alarms under my belt from basic to advanced installs on a limited number of vehicles … experience is key with different models and alarm manufacturer variations and add-ons.
I have the Viper 350 PLUS 3105V 1-Way Car Alarm Keyless Entry and when I arm my alarm and unlock the front door with the key the alarm doesn't go sound off. If I unlock the passenger and open it it goes off. What is wrong? 🤔 Thank you in advance.
@@Aguilarr24 maybe the diode was put in backwards, or there was a loose connection if not sodered. Ex. I wrapped some stereo wire and it would ocassionaly stop working, after crimping it worked flawlessy.
Dude you are running an immobilizer bypass. Why are you even wiring up door pins? That module covers everything from brake switch input, trunk switch, hood pin, door locks, tach, to door status. You just made the job harder.
2010 dodge ram 1500… 1 wire lock 300 ohms / unlock 100 ohms. Negative triggers. Everything I have read and studied and so on for over a month has led me to both green and blue to the 1 wire (vio/grn) in the passenger door module to lock and unlock using resistors. Before I used the resistors it would only unlock, with the resistors it only locks. It will not do both. I am burned out on this and just want to finish… please help me out, my guy!?!?
Viper 3100v btw, I also have the dei 451m external relay ready to use if I need that, was going to just install it and see what happens but I’m second guessing myself.
Hey Nathan! Did you ever fix your problem? I did my 1st install And all good Except same issue you have In my case i dont even have purple/green wire Ill apréciate any help Thanks

Nice simple walkthru. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Appreciate it. 👍
No problem brotha💪🏾
Did you splice into the wires coming from the door triggers or completely cut them and run straight to the alarm

Where are you located?❤
Looking for side door trigger positive on 98 blazer
Can I do it with out the diode? On my 76 nova Or I need them ?
You don't need that in older cars
Is it a bad idea to grab the dome light door trigger so you can just run one wire? Or is that most of the time the same wire?

It could be the door switch sensor
@@mmicky07 I actually replaced that and still didn't work.
