Great tutorial! Above my skill level (thank goodness). I've been working on learning Blender for almost a month, and this tutorial is helping me up my game. I've had to go through it several times to get it right, but I got there! There's much I'm still not clear on, but I'll keep reviewing & will get it. Thanks!
No actually because they are coming towards the camera, like the two sides of a road, they come to one point in the distance but far appart when close the the viewpoint
Thank you, Peter! Good point about the focus point. I didn't try it like that, but it makes sense because both our eyes tend to focus on the same thing. Thanks again!
I totally agree mate, this vid was amazing, however I suck at blender and I for somereason cant fix my extend tool, right? I was wondering also if you could do some bloody awesome explosions and the like, and also good day.
Hi Kennan, very nice tutorial. I think it would be nice to see the *Thor Ragnarok* effect, with bright eyes and lightning through the face and body. (just an idea) Best
Having some problems in 2.8 , i don't know why but when i parent the second cylinder with the second bone my cylinder pulls a littlebit to the side and don't stay top off the bone , and when i move the arrow he moves more than the other and if i pull a lot they cross.
Excuse me, at 15:25 you clicked a button labeled "Render" but I can't find this button anywhere, is it located somewhere else under a different name now, perhaps? *EDIT* Never mind, I figured it out, this is a wonderful tutorial, thank you for making it.
Really nice tutorial.I'm having a bit of trouble at the point around 4:15 (when you set keyframes to show if the render should be visible or not). Pressing 'I' does nothing. I tried manually pressing the insert keyframe button but get an error message: "No active keying set." I then went to the scene tab and added a keying set. I tried inserting a keyframe again but get a different error: "Keying set failed to insert any keyframes." Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.
Hi Kenan. Instead of doing the cylinder/array, is it possible to use a particle system of the emitter type? If so, how to you get the particles to follow the track?
great video! but just one small sujestion; to fast and its hard to follow you! lol! Even when you try to pause the video. But thanks anyway for the effort!
Can you include the original unedited video in all your videos so that people who don't have footage or the resources to make that footage can follow along?
Just made the glowy eyes and got exhausted. Realized how much of a noob I am. This is literally my 2nd project in 3d and this is so complicated. Great tutorial tho.
click on the tracker to select it and press 'G' on your keyboard to grab it and move it with the mouse. Then click with your mouse to release the tracker to where you want it.
hello my friend, had the same problem and i discovered the sollution , but in my case i'm using Blender 2.8 and i was in the mask mode , the solve option only apears in the tracking mode

Thank you for saying so! You are welcome my friend! :)
No problem! Anytime :)
You guys.. are the real heroes
Why, thank you! :)
Am I the only one who gets blown away by how OP Blender really is :D

Finally you're back
Glad to be back. Thanks!
pretty cool!
But at 0:07 it looks a bit odd, because the two cylinders/bones are parrallel. I think they should end together in one point
I think you may be right about that. I confess I didn't test it that way, but you might be onto something. Thanks!
I like that there not in 1 point tho its more realistic
No actually because they are coming towards the camera, like the two sides of a road, they come to one point in the distance but far appart when close the the viewpoint
ow it's been 2 years xd
@@hart1254 I’m not sure he’s or she’s alive🤣
And he's back! Awesome vid, dude!
I feel humbled that I was missed. :) Thanks a bunch!
Take this into Davinci Resolve and add some effects like lens flares and this is would be The Boys level!
What a smooth VFX boss!!
Haha thanks!
Awesome! Where did you get the sound effects for the heat vision?
The best tutorial but I think it is too fast.
Correct
then slow it down
i think it helps push you to pause and think over things with logic so you can learn to apply his techniques to even more things
@@traderjoas Intresting way of looking at it
Good to see you back on RUclips :) I agree to a comment further down. The two cylinders may focus at one point near to the camera.
Thank you, Peter! Good point about the focus point. I didn't try it like that, but it makes sense because both our eyes tend to focus on the same thing. Thanks again!
Thanks for making this video Kenan, I will try this effect and see how it pans out.
Kenan : That's not too complex.
Me: RIIIIGHTTT...
Nice topics
Wow... That is really mad skillz :o I cant even make a glowing lightsaber and you make realistic looking heat vision eyes. Thats crazy
Thanks, Skillzor! Keep up the blender work! It may prove easier than expected. :)
That’s so cool! Now I know how these people at the movie studio did on Superman
its just blowing my mind
WOAH!
hehe. Its a amazing FX. Thanks a lot!
Thank you, Angel!
Always appreciated your work
Thank you my friend!
9:05 why dont you just copy and paste the first bone?
That was dope dude
Awesome vid
the dopest!
Thanks!

Will this work with blender 2.83?
Yep. Only the ui has changed, not the principle.

Thanks! :) I'll add that to my list. Been thinking about how to do that effect actually, so maybe it'l come sooner than later. :)

I am having the same problem. When I parent the cylinders, they go about 30 degrees off to the side of the bone.
Awesome as always :D
Thanks, man! :)

Really helpful tutorial!
Glad to hear it! :)
how long it took you for making this video
Great Video, Helped a lot
Great Tutorial! How do you make the mask/heat vision hidden in the frames where you dont want it visible? Im working in Blender 2.8
fantastic tutorial. thanks a lot
Very cool!
Thanks, brother! :)
Bro you are amazing and super smart
Great Tutorial!!
Thanks! :)
Nice work man....I'll check out your website. I'm a blender hobbyist.

Ah--never mind. I just realized that I wasn't hovering over the visibility button--newbie mistake.
@@boolittlek4854 How do U resolve it, Kristen ?? I ask you 'cause I am trying in 2.90 and I can not active keys :(
Thanks in advance, mate.
Great tutorial!
But doesn't it easier to do it in after effects? you can use like saber plugin or create it with mask
Yes , but *blender is free*
congratulations
You should do an updated video for 2.8, just saying.
dude, that was pretty fucking cool
Thanks! :)
Oh nice!!! Keep it up!
Thanks! :)
if you don’t mind me asking why did you use a texture instead of just an rgb node?
its amazing
You nailed it
Thanks! :)
Kenan Proffitt can you do flash electric fx in your next tutorial?
Great tutorial! Challenging, but awesome 👍

great video! but just one small sujestion; to fast and its hard to follow you! lol! Even when you try to pause the video. But thanks anyway for the effort!
Is it possible to make sure that the mask you put on your eyes, you can track it? So that you don't have to manually adjust it every frame?
Is this also possible with fluid following the same steps?
So you apply this to hands to make laser hands?
Please ,upload more videos related to vfx
Instead of doing all that tracking stuff, can I just manually animate a mask to stay with the eyes?
Yes, but then you have to animate the bones by hand too. With the tracking you save some time in the end
You are just the best
Can you include the original unedited video in all your videos so that people who don't have footage or the resources to make that footage can follow along?
Which software is that??
Blender
You're awesome!
cxan somebody explain why my mask in composting stage appears to be at a height than that i applied. c i am new to this
Please make more videos
Please make a tutorial of iron man VFX in blender only how to ..
Wow just wow...clap clap
can you do this in blender 2.83.4 or 2.83.2
Just made the glowy eyes and got exhausted. Realized how much of a noob I am. This is literally my 2nd project in 3d and this is so complicated.
Great tutorial tho.
How do you scale the circle
What screen recorder do you use?
I use Quicktime. It comes free on Mac. :)
can u make videos little bit slow pls...
Sir in motion tracking, we have to grab the tracker and move with eyes with each frame ?? Pls reply ☺️☺️
click on the tracker to select it and press 'G' on your keyboard to grab it and move it with the mouse. Then click with your mouse to release the tracker to where you want it.
Could you please make the footage available, I don't have a camera
Really good stuff, thank you.
You're welcome! :)
i dont have that solve button, and link to empty tracks
what to do pls tell
hello my friend, had the same problem and i discovered the sollution , but in my case i'm using Blender 2.8 and i was in the mask mode , the solve option only apears in the tracking mode
when i render it all screen turn black, can you fix that?
and the render super fast, i look the time is: 00:00:04
Holytittifuckinchrist! You've done this before i guess? That would take me a week and you did it in 20 minutes. Good job dude!
The solve panel is not there. How you found it?

Doing this in blender 2.90
It works the same for animated characters
Yep! 👍
New to blender I did everything correctly until I opened the compositor and the eyes didn't glow red...
Can you give me the original video
it's not letting me me create a node????
if you are using 2.8 you have to select the box ( use nodes ) on the top left, its on the side of ( View , Select , Add , Node)
How u open clip in compositor
Id like to know that too
@@arianhoti3268 Add a viewer node
