    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! I’d say Clarisse has great rendering, as it renders anything you throw at it. Cycles is easier to set up in my opinion but Angie is coming, and once they include motion blur it will be amazing. It’s pricey but powerful. Does that help?

    one day blender will be able to handle that many poly gons. though by that time we will all probably be using raymarching and virtual photons as casually as blender handles cubes XD
    i do love blender, but it is like a decade behind in terms of large scale and poly dense editing/rendering

    Hi Kevin, Great work man! I got a question: is Clarisse Awesome at handling lots of scene Geometry? Cool video!

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  2 года назад +2

      Thanks! Yes, Clarisse is amazing. It can handle insane volumes of geometry pretty easily. I had 400 billion polygons going and it was really smooth. Like I’d said, it’s an unoptimized workflow but man... wow.

    • @DM_K7
      @DM_K7 2 года назад

      @@KevBinge that's awesome man! Looks like I might have to try it out, since I'm a big fan of having lots of geometry in the scenes lol instead of just using textures.

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  2 года назад +1

      It’s really cool and worth picking up for when you might need it. Ian Hubert’s optimization way is super effective and I recommend that first but Clarisse allows for some very heavy lifting without dragging the viewport or your system. I’m really loving it.

    • @DM_K7
      @DM_K7 2 года назад +1

      @@KevBinge Yes Ian Huber is a legend, he has got it down to a T. I Started working with Unreal cause I wanted big expensive scenes, but it gets overwhelming sometimes cause there’s couple of technical hoops you gotta jump through to render something nice out of it…plus the setup.
      Always love watching your videos, thanks for the recommendation! and Happy Holidays Kev.

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  2 года назад +1

      Ian is awesome. He really is “that” good. Unreal does have some amazing capability but it’s not super simple to get everything into it. Clarisse is really simple. There are a few Houdini prep work issues for certain things, but the Blender stuff goes right in as obj files. I want to try USD next.
      You have a great holiday as well!!

      I think both are capable. What you get with Clarisse though is the ability to throw massive data into your scene, work with it all, then render it. Angie is nice and it’s coming, and is pretty fast as is right now considering how much data it can handle in the viewport.
