- Sommelier André Hueston Mack is back to do what he does best: taste wine. We asked him to try twenty bottles of white wine under $15 and let us know his honest thoughts on them. Not all of these wines are worth your money, but there are some diamonds in the rough.

if you guys are smart you'll keep this guy around for as long as you can
GAGAGAGAGAAGAG this is wonderful! PRANK! It is terrible! I looked in the mirror and saw something UNPRETTY: my face. GAGAGAGAG! But I am happy again because I have TWO HOT GIRLFRIENDS and I make cool YT videos with them! Good evening, love and peace, dear bi
@@AxxLAfriku shut the fck up lol
@@AxxLAfriku How do you comment on every video I watch lol
@Big Nah Amen, this brilliant man should have a variety show pairing wines with chefs. His sense of humor is brilliant 🍷🍇
We all know BA can mess up any good thing pretty quickly. Here's hoping he stays, because this guy is the bomb. He's like the cool younger hip uncle.
a smart knowledgable dude who isn't snobby about his wine. always got something positive to say. love this guy
If you can get your hands in his wine, do it! I'm obsessed with the Love Drunk Rosé. It's $20 at my local bottle shop!
Well said.
Though my friend has a great story about a church pal whose son was a ‘wine connoisseur’ at a major restaurant and had brought ‘one of his finest picks’ to his mom’s party. My pal took one sip and managed to get to the kitchen before spitting it out. She got caught by her church pal who actually asked her to leave the party for ‘having so little taste!’
You know what you like, THAT makes us all
‘connoisseurs’😆
My favorite is Ste Chateau Michelle, all of the Columbia Valley wines are wonderful.
All that means he's hiding something...
Blocked for profile picture
I absolutely LOVE this man. He needs his own show. Him traveling, him visiting different vineyards, wine shops, bringing his wine knowledge to Mom and Pop restaurants. I want everything for him. Great job, BA!
Yesss !!!z
Absolutely…. Netflix, where are you?
🤔❤❤❤
Please do a Trader Joe's wine guide with Andre. Love him!!
This this this.
💯
Yessss!!! Then Central Market
Yes that would be so goood!!
Get the Lazy Bones wine...you’re welcome!
This guy is great. He`s super down to earth, really shows the depth of his knowledge without sounding pretentious.
Agreed. Super informative.
Yes! I love that about him. Most sommeliers are annoyingly arrogant.. like WE GET IT.. your taste buds are fancy.. stfu already 🤣
@@rosegold973 wine should be more approachable.
Even a crappy white wine tends to be refreshing and light and slightly sweet. Whereas crappy red wine makes you angry with life.
HAHAHAHAHAHA Cause so true!
Yes! I feel like a cheap white wine has to be truly awful to be undrinkable. Cheap white is usually too sweet or one dimensional, which I don't mind as much. But cheap reds taste like turpentine or rat poison!! LOL
@@malloryg4251
Is it just me or do bad reds also give a bad hangover?
@@digitallocations1423 Yes!! whereas even a cheap white wine doesn't even give a headache
@@digitallocations1423 its the tannins which white wine has fewer of.
The camera operator definitely took part in the wine tasting.
now i can't stop noticing it LOL
I came to the comments to make sure I wasn’t the only one. It’s horrendous 😂
it cant be unseen now so annoying hâhhaha
They always do. Also, producers. I've heard.
He's absolutely drunk. 😂😂
Favorite comment is when he said he loves eating McDonald's French Fries with German Riesling.
17 year old me totally agrees! Now I'm a sucker for Crossings (New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc) and Pardon My French (French Côtes de Gascogne).
Hahahaha
Literally out shopping for it now, just to try it
I can get behind this!
Honestly, it's something I can only imagine to be delicious. Not gonna buy Riesling, because I don't particularly like Riesling, but I can imagine it harmonizing quite well. Riesling is quite acidic, which goes well with the umami flavor and violent saltiness of Mcdonald's fries. Fries need something with a punch I'd say.
More Andre Mac please. He’s knowledgeable without being pretentious. He’s got personality but not enough to be annoying. Love his humor. Concept for the show is great too.
“nothing in wine when we talk about in descriptions are literal”
...it all makes sense now
Same with cannabis... all the “this smells like grape and crumbled cookies” is code for “please agree with me on something” in reality it just smells like weed
Helps pair it.
A red wine that is “fruity” (not literally) might go better with something spicy.
@@gabrielsanchez1644 your looking for secondary and tertiary layers of the aromas. What else other than weed are you smelling.
Its more like a feeling or the sensation of the said description. For example, licking rocks, flower pedals, or the texture of chewing fruit peels.
Smell is linked to memory in the brain, while the other senses are linked to reasoning areas of the brain. Tasting notes are just saying what the wine (or whatever alse you can give tasting notes for) brings out of your memory. If your house smells always like cinnamon, and the smell reminds you of your house, you may be getting cinnamon notes. Another way to look at it is bacon isnt smoke, but bacon has a very smokey flavor. Or peppers are earthy. Works the same way.
Aussie here. The Yellowtail shown in the vid is the wine for people who don't like wine. Super sweet, almost sickeningly sweet, is popular because of the picture on the label more than the wine itself. I know, it sounds snooty to badmouth it, but Australia has much better white wines at that price point like Annie's Lane Chardonnay, Red Knot Chardonnay, Lindeman's Bin 95 Sauvignon Blanc, Wolf Blass Eaglehawk Sauvignon Blanc, Jacob's Creek Cool Harvest Sauvignon Blanc. I'm a fan of the Wolf Blass Eaglehawk, personally.
Yeah the yellowtail is the bogan bbq white wine lol
Could you do “uncommon food and wine pairings” hopefully with a cohost? Like “stump the sommelier”! Pair a red wine with this fish or pair a wine with these popular chips etc. love Andre!
Oh I would LOVE that
I love wine pairing unusual foods or junk foods. Try an expensive high quality chardonnay with Kraft Dinner for example, or a semi dry Riesling with spicy ish potato chips such as doritos or BBQ chips. Speaking of ...Champagne with a plain salty ripple !
Stopped watching BA last year. Didn't realize this was BA when I clicked. This is a great segment. I hope they don't go back to their old ways and waste talent and we never see him again
They do need future episodes with him, no doubt.
Also my first vid in awhile
Really hope they pay him too
The procurement on Andre is bringing me back to BA after the summer of hurt
Can we all agree André Mack is amazing. I can only dream to have a drink with him. Thank you for introducing him to the RUclips world. 🫀
He meant "🥴" c'mon editors...
Thank you! It bugged me so much lol
Came here to say this lol
Theyre dumb asf🤣🤣
Ye cmon mayn
Thank you! That's what I was thinking as well.
Brilliant - Love his knowledge & willingness to explain these things in a clear way. These two segments (the reds under $15 and whites under $15) have been awesome. I hope they’re working on a Rosé one, too!
This guy is a ray of sunshine on a grey day! Immediately brightens the mood with positivity and knowledge
Wine tasting notes sounds like the tasting notes of some whiskies. "Mmmm, it taste like tar, hay, and iodine. DELICIOUS!"
Should look at the tasting notes of islay scotch. Some of my favorites are bandaids, burning ocean trash and 'like making love to a cigar smoking walrus'
@@JoeDoe-ro1ms 🤩😍🤩
Man there are so many dope wines here in South Australia. I’d listen to this guy on a weekly vid going through different regions and price points. What a guy.
More of this please! Andre Mack is so good at explaining wine. I learn a ton every time you have him on.

Extremely educational! He is so genuine, so approachable, and you can really relate to him. Love his descriptions! Wonderful video!
I don’t understand what you’re saying but I’ll buy the wine you recommended lol thanks for taking out all of the thinking for all of us
I’ve watched ALL his BA episodes now… André Mack seriously rocks. His shows alone convinced me to re-subscribe to this channel. Much more of him please!!!
Wow I learned a lot without feeling like I was stupid for not knowing it
I wand this dude to join Brad and Matty Matheson for noodling and wine collecting or wtv
OMG! That's money!!! I would actually pay to see that.
Years ago I really liked those Playboy videos with Patrick tasting wine like this and really kick started my relationship with this kind of format. Keep ‘em coming.
More of this please!! Delightful to watch, and I learned something 😍
Never clicked so fast! When I seen Andre... I'm glad y'all listened🍷✌
Really enjoy his segments! He’s not pretentious and very informative. I will be trying some of these for sure. I only wish Canada was featured!
This guy has so much knowledge & charisma, I learned so much and enjoyed it! Would love to see more of him!
You guys should do an Aldi wine review. I would love to see it
Had no idea twist off’s we’re more expensive to make than corks, they tend to be on worse bottles so I always assumed it was a way for wineries to cut a corner.
In the European market, it seems like probably like 90% of wine of every quality is twist off, and there is no stigma attached to it. I think the importers often ask them to use cork when it gets shipped overseas because of the negative association you described.
I will never ever get tired of his videos... Treat him right BA he's phenomenal
gotta strengthen my wine knowledge for when i'm actually drinking around people again
I love André so much. Keep this kind of great educational content coming BA!
This guy deserves whatever he’s being paid and is easily the most trusted person on your channel.
I love this segment! Please keep making more videos with Andre! I feel like I'm learning a lot.
Would really love to see him do a few different tastings... comparison of Washington wines vs. California wines, Domestic wine varietal comparison, comparison of wine varietals existing on similar latitudes.
This is my new favorite person on RUclips. Love to see him explore more types, sweet wines, champagnes/bruts and basically anything else. Love his explanations
This was a really good video, well done, thank you. I'm glad you included Gruner in your list. I discovered it about 2 years ago on an airplane and have been hooked ever since. That and chenin blanc are my two go-to's at this point. Good stuff.
I love these videos. He makes wine and affordable wine so approachable. He makes it cool and not stuffy!
Fantastic! What an engaging, informative vid! This guy made me understand wine and what I am smelling and tasting in an uncompromising yet non-intimidating way. More of him!! More experts breaking down food and drink like this!!
I could listen to this guy all day. More please.
BA: Sommelier tries BOX WINE
How about CAN WINE ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
@@marieelisa1 there are many higher quality wines in cans. it's a stigma people need to get over. i mean screw tops were once frowned upon.
The bota box though would deff pass the test
I’ve just discovered this guy yesterday and I can’t stop binging all of these videos. I love him and I’m learning so much about wine! Some wine experts are hard to follow or understand, but not Andre. He’s cool.
I love this guy! Please bring him back for every type of wine!!!
I could watch him all day long. More, please!
Absolutely love this sommelier. Sometimes "wine people" are such snobs about wine and overcomplicate the subject. Sometimes you need a glass of cold white wine to go with you french fries. Plus the raspy tone of his voice is really pleasing to the ear.
Love this and love him! Please continue this and bring him back more!
It's nice to see someone who is very knowledgeable but not rude about it. Love it.
This dude is awesome, seen a few of his vids on RUclips!! incredibly knowledgeable about wine, I can watch his videos all day. I hope he does a Rose 15 Dollar wines and other High end stuff too.
These is exactly the type of content and people we want to see
I’m not even a huge fan of wine, it’s just fascinating to listen to a man so obviously passionate and knowledgable about his craft. His enthusiasm is so contagious, it’s wonderful to listen to.
I just started working at a liquor store and we get so many questions about our wine, I'm extremely appreciative of this man's knowledge.
Oof. Yellow tail as the only Australian wine, that hurts.
I know right? do we only export the crap?
Yeah the was rough, why would they do that
i d assume its the only wine that goes under 15 bucks in the US, Shoutout to u guys tho! U r doing a great job with the wine!
Y’all got bomb Syrah don’t worry we see y’all
I think it very much depends where in the world you are. Here in Japan, Yellowtail is everywhere, but there is better, and higher priced, stuff available.
We need more of this man. We demand it! :)
This was fun to watch and Andre always make great content! Hope to see more soon!
This guy is super down to earth and likable. I want go out and drink wine with this dude and learn.
I love watching this guy and he had a previous vlog and I had taken his advice. It a hit! Save my a** a couple times when I had to bring wine to a dinner party. I still have friends thx dude.
Yay! So glad to see André! Also, Cupcake once had an awesome ginger vodka. If they ever produce it again, grab it!
Great vid!!! Kudos to the whole team who worked on this. Hope you guys make more.
Super appreciate the respectful honesty and he has a great personality
Love this series. More Andre, please!
Love these Sommelier videos! I want to see him go to vineyards and cool places for wine tasting and lessons we can learn more of his craft! Please! And Thank You! 🙏
Just subscribed to BA for this guy. Love when someone clearly enjoys sharing their passion.
I really enjoyed the way he explains and describes the wine. Very helpful. I would enjoy watching all his other videos. .
After brad its alive this is the only thing u can watch on Bá
Agree!
Just saw his red wine video and now this is out. My weekend plans are set.
Love his reviews! Please please do more. Also really excited you featured a Fingerlakes wine!
this guy is amazing!!!! could listen to him talk about wine for hours
Obsessed with him!! More videos please!
love this - you need your own channel, can't get enough!
Agreed - Guy would be sitting on serious views
This guy is great! He teaches w/o looking down on you. Makes me want to go out and buy wine whenever I watch him. Definitely taking him to the store w/me next time I buy wine... tomorrow!
He's so fun to watch and listen that I want to have either a podcast or a series with him.
You guys should do a video or series with him about tips and some basic knowledge about wine, how to taste it and how to find great wines
I need more videos with this guy. Could listen to him talk all day!
I love this series, it teaches me so much. Do regions in Italy next!
I absolutely love this guy. He has such a great vibe, very knowledgeable, describes things very well and just seems like a cool guy. 👍👍
This guy is awesome. They should make this a series.
Videos:
Best wines to choose for weddings or special events
Best wines for gifts
Best $15-30, $30-45, etc.
Bar wine staples
Best Costco case wines
This man is legendary. I stopped studying to watch both videos. Keep him around
Same🤣🤣
I love this series! More André Mack, please! I would love his opinion on inexpensive sparkling wines....
This gentleman is the Best! Very down-to-earth and knowledgeable. 🍇🍷🍷
Wonderful video! Try some of the Michigan wines - I'd be interested in his take on them. I feel like we've got some really solid, pleasing wines coming out of the Mitten!
A video on box wines, just reislings, just chardonnay, just reach sub category would be great. A video for each bottle or box under $20 that exists would be great
More of these, all the time please. Andre is gold.
Yes!!! More of this! There are so many really good wines that aren't expensive!
What I really like about him is that he explains things really well for all of us non-wine people and hes pretty polite and nice, never slams the wines
Love this series ❤ your French pronunciation is on point, too. Please do a rosé or port version too!
He makes me wince every time he pronounces the c in blanc. In French, it’s silent.
Andre is so cool and down-to-earth. 😍 He is very knowledgeable...wanting to teach us...but not snobby or annoying in any way. I think anyone wud love him to show up at their party. 🥳 Lol...
I love this guy! First time watching. Can't wait for the next one video. I'm always looking for a new favorite wine.
May I just ask why the camera couldn't be in a tripod? It's nauseating to move the whole time. This guy is brilliant and he needs the respect of a steady camera, despite the stupid moving camera trend.
Honestly I think they were and it was added camera shake in post processing. It looks like a fake and algorithmic movement. Should just be steady
I adore the white wine.. something crisp, but sweet & refreshing 🥂
I love this guy, so glad he's back!
Gotta love the porch pounder especially in the summer! Cant wait to try some of these! Great job!
Give us moaaaar. Love this guy.
Out of all of the new people, this guy seems cool
love it! i like the way he does everything! Keep doing this kind of videos please :)
Really loving his series. Keep it coming...
