So easy even a geezer can do it! Impressive bead breaker. I have owned tire changers for 30 years, so breaking a bead hasnt been a real issue. Still enjoy watching someone that is skilled at tire work.
I've done many a stock car tire that way since they wouldn't fit on a tire machine. My beadbreaker has a curled tip so very little angle is needed and is less likley to damage the bead or sidewall. I couldn't tell if your's was curled at all. After mounting the rear bead I have to get the tube in place with baby powder on it so it slides easier... then carefully get the outside bead on without pinching the tube. I always use waterless handcleaner to lube the bead... Works great...
Yes sir Bob bring back some good old memories we did do that down at the salvage yard full we ever got a tire machine thanks buddy hey have a great weekend
As young kids back in the 70's growing up in the country .us boys would ride our bicycles up to the gas station and watch the Gas station attendant change tires and we got a kick out of the loud Pop that the tires made when bead sealed ...Fun times .Good Memories
Bob, you never cease to amaze me. I've never ever been able to hand change a tire as quickly as you have just done it. That's very impressive in my book!! It fascinates me too about that Dodge of yours. I don't believe I've ever seen a 1500 from any truck manufacture with a Diesel in it. Way cool sir!
Last time I needed a set of rollers installed they cost me 60 bucks!!!! I'll probably just buy the Harbor Freight tire changer for the same 60 bucks next time I need to change some tires!!! I do like that breaker though!!! Nice and heavy!!! Keep Rocking it out Brother!!!
Wow! You did that so well, you're a stronger guy than me, I'm 5*10* 150 pounds and when I only change motorcycle tires I feel like I've done some heavy work. Perhaps because I'm 67 but it's a job doing it. Vet good video.
I used to watch my uncle do that back in 60,s I had to unmount and mount a couple of riding movers tires myself earlier this month it was a success as well. Awesome video bob
I'm researching this right now. I had planned on starting today, but now I'm stuck on what method to break the tire bead. I know there's floor jack and scissor jack methods that require a bit of creativity, and then there's this that got me thinking about this 6 foot heavy 3/4" steel rod that I have but the end isn't exactly right. I was also thinking maybe a heavy flat iron and a sledge hammer to improvise what you've got there. First time doing this and got the low profile tires. Good video, and the method seems less fuss than the others I've seen.
Love it class in session ... Manual tire change, great clip. I did not see the colored dot on the tire, I did that back in the day a bubble balancer on one tire was spot on the other tire needed on a very small weight. Thank for the share.
That was a easy one, I used to have one of those cheap tire change machine the bar to change the tire was useless so had to modify it, but had to fight with small tire bar's to get tires on, but now I'm going to make my own one or get another machine if I got the money, as it costs heaps to get a puncture fixed here in New Zealand or tire's swoped , so I might make a breaker like you're's as well 😀👍🏻 thanks
Mind I have also broken the beads with ford transit van wheels against a curb stone and then used spanners as the levers, then dove soap and orange juice to reseat the bead. It worked well
Hey Bob. I hear ya when you say save some money and do it yourself. I just finished mounting 4 new tires on my Fargo. More money for truck parts. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
You can make a pretty good bead breaker out of a old car jack too. I bought a cheap tire changer at H F bent the hell out of it the first tire so I had to add some reinforcement plates to it.
Love the content you should get a harbor freight manual tire changer it 50.00 holds the tire has a bead breaker and it holds the wheel .it made like the old fashion tire shops had
Great idea my grandpa had a tool like that back on the farm to do that same thing And most tire shops don’t change the valve stems anymore but it’s a good idea to as a just in case so ya don’t gotta break it back down later
I love this video so much. Too many reasons to list.
Well done!
Just used it again on Gator Bait on my new channel. Rat Rod Bobs SideShow.
TMR is right on the nose, one I really liked was Bob's 3 foot tire iron with the custom upgrades on each end.😊😊
Well done.
Basic and simple and it all works👍
This is the best tyre changing video!!!! Appreciate you for putting it up....thanks a lot for the great effort
Thanks for Sharing... Bob... It's the Simple Knowledge and Videos that don't seem to be out there.
So easy even a geezer can do it!
Impressive bead breaker.

That bead breaker worked damn good! I think I'm going to have to make one. I'm glad I showed up for school today.
That little move with the channel locks to put the tire valve on was pretty cool!
Great video!

This is a very simple but effective tool you’ve built. This is a lot quicker than some of the other ways I’ve seen people break the bead. 👍🏻
Dang it Bob. Yer hired..best tyre lumper on LubeTube.. 😅. Thanks for sharing, Best Wishes..

Keep Rocking it out Brother!!!
You, sir, are amazing. Great tool, wish I could buy it.
Thanks for sharing the way the tire chop charge this days I'll be handy thanks again Sergio
I like this tool. No need for leverage. Only extreme violence against the tyre :)
Wow! You did that so well, you're a stronger guy than me, I'm 5*10* 150 pounds and when I only change motorcycle tires I feel like I've done some heavy work. Perhaps because I'm 67 but it's a job doing it. Vet good video.
Thank you very much. Your work is great and you helped us with your method to remove the frame easily
Great video and job.
liked watching that. makin it look easy. liked those birds singin out back too. maybe run a mic out for background sound.
I used to watch my uncle do that back in 60,s I had to unmount and mount a couple of riding movers tires myself earlier this month it was a success as well. Awesome video bob

Pretty slick bob
Wow! That was amazing. Great skills!
Having a go tomorrow. Brilliant video. Best one I seen. Thank you.
You nailed it again Bob. That beats laying a two by six on it and driving a truck up on it. That takes two people.
Love it. I've got to make one of those bead breakers. Looks a lot safer than hitting things with a lump hammer!
Definitely!
Tire jumped off that rim. Love the bead breaker tool. ✌
You sure got a good system there!
Man you made that look so easy
Thanks for the sale ordered my first Rat Rod Bob t-shirt
Awesome! Thank you!
Now that's exactly how to get things done. You go to the tire shop and they want to sell you 4 tires. Lol
That bead breaker is awesome.
Thank you for showing this dandy tool, I am going to make one!
Sweet!!! Gotta make me one of those. Teach my grandson how to use it! As always, Love the channel. Blessings to you.
Good stuff!! A few people have recommended you so we subscribbed!!!
Awesome! Thank you!

Good to know info for the younger generation.
11:59 I didnt know the there is a mechanism to raise and lower that spare tire! I just learned my mom's lexus SUV has 1 too. awesome (Nice big garage)
Nicely, easy done
Amazed how easy it came off! Nice tool may have to make one.
Probably the first video I ever made were things went better than expected. LOL
Great video 👏👏👏
Great tutorial boss, I got one flat tire to do on my 41,im a get at it, save sum moolah, thanks bob
Glad you noticed the issue before you really needed that spare tire. Great bead breaker. Be safe and stay well.
Pure Rat Rod genius how simple that bead breaker is. I gotta make me one!
Bob you sure made that look easy lol
Nice, thanks buddy.
You are the only old man I know that does lawn jobs....Hahahahaha
You made it look easy
Ya whuped that out purrdy fast Bob!! Preciate ya!!
👍🏻nice job on the tire 101. My dad showed me how to do it the old school way when I was a kid, I do like the pipe bar and pipe trick!!!
I like the way you used the Chanel lock handles to pull in the stem.
Yea regular pliers handles works better but the channel locks are better for pulling the weights so I had em handy!
Changed four tires myself last night Saved at least 60 bucks or better.
That is how we did it on the farm!
Nice just like one two three.done
Looking real slick
Must be some springs in that truck ! Great to see you Bob !
Yea I upgraded to 3/4 ton front springs.
@@RatRodBobBuilds- and this is what was top of the list with the # thing.
Mind I have also broken the beads with ford transit van wheels against a curb stone and then used spanners as the levers, then dove soap and orange juice to reseat the bead. It worked well
I like your bead breaker. I usually run over the tire close to the rim. Results vary.
😭
Bawb the tar man! I gotta make me onenna them breakers!
Thank you Sir 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Bob learned some tips from your tire job thanks again
Perfect video, get her done.
Cea mai tare inventie! Bravo men...👍
Heck, I can't even put on an RC car tire as fast as you put on a real one! 🤣 Have a great Memorial Day sir!
I like the tool Bob. Nicely done.
Hey Bob. I hear ya when you say save some money and do it yourself. I just finished mounting 4 new tires on my Fargo. More money for truck parts. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Professor Bob showing off doesn't always work out that quick,
Yea I got lucky on this one!
Thanks to share.
good job
Slick as a frozen dog Bob.
Thanks Bob, you make it look so easy!
I have used those braker bars many times on old farm tractor tyres
That tire was ready to get off that wheel. I have fought with them for a while to get them off👍👍🇨🇱
Ese vídeo es más falso ,se nota que la llanta está suave.
i've found, taking a break - drink half a beer / go get 'er done a g a i n . goodday , from Alberta.
Man. I want to come work in your shop.
You can make a pretty good bead breaker out of a old car jack too. I bought a cheap tire changer at H F bent the hell out of it the first tire so I had to add some reinforcement plates to it.
Bob's school of tire rodoligy.
old school cool bob!
Thanks Bob!
I need to get those tire tools.
It never goes that easy for me. Always a fight. But love your bead breaker.
Ive used the car bumper and a jack...years ago..I like that way better
That's The Way to Do It Baawwbb & ya Didn't Need Red Atoll !!! God Bless All The Veterans.
Bob is a well seasoned veteran, just another day at the office. 😎
Tire time....That will work....Thanks Bob...!
I like that tool for breaking the bead we always use a board and the truck to run up on board but that looks easier
Yea but keep your board handy. Sometimes they get really stuck on there. This works on the average tire though.
I like it it’s a nice trick to put in the bag
Love the content you should get a harbor freight manual tire changer it 50.00 holds the tire has a bead breaker and it holds the wheel .it made like the old fashion tire shops had
Great Idea for an old rim, I'm not doing that with a $1000.00 CBR 1000RR rim :-)
Great challenge, well done Bob. 👍
Great idea my grandpa had a tool like that back on the farm to do that same thing
And most tire shops don’t change the valve stems anymore but it’s a good idea to as a just in case so ya don’t gotta break it back down later
I three tires I need to do this to. I dont have those nice tire pry bars though have to use screw drivers and little pry bars.
you made that look easy but it's not very few people can do that these day's old timers learned cause they had no other choice.
