My memory may be wrong but I remember wanting a corvette as a kid in around 2001, and looking it up and it was like 30,000. And that's what I thought the cost of a luxury car was Edit: I looked it up and it was $40,000
nah man i hate the new Silverado. this one is a little more stylish though. favorite has to be the rivian. looks very new age while also having the conservatism and no unnecessary graphics, that aren't simple, symmetrical and geometric. it looks like a tool. this looks like it's trying to be a sports car with a bed. i don't reallyyy mind when smaller, lighter cars have that kind of aesthetic.. but this is a 6 or 7 thousand pound truck.
It’s a brand new platform and they can’t make too many of them yet, so they’re going to pad their margins as much as possible until the supply chain catches up to mass produce all these EVs.
This is by far the best EV truck I have seen to date. I would 100% choose this over the Rivian or F-150 Lightning. I just hope they bring the price down to earth!
Let me fix that for you. This is by far the best truck that you can't buy right now. By the time people will be able to get the few of these that can get produced, Ford will be selling their T3 next gen EV truck. It will have the most important feature of all... Price... Built from the ground up to be mass produced to lower costs by scale. I agree, GM did an amazing job with this Truck... Looks great in and out. BUT... and this goes with all these Trucks... I'm not paying 100k for a truck. So they can show off these trophies as much as they want but if they want my money, the prices need to go way back down to reality.

Well GMC has been listening to the people. I like the extra range and also the fast charging to get 100 miles of range. My biggest concern and I’m sure everyone can agree is the range. I don’t really tow much maybe some ATV’s to go to the ranch but the further I can go and the less I have to stop and charge the better. This is definitely number one on my list for EV trucks.
This is really a big improvement over the Silverado EV! It looks more like a Sierra than the Silverado EV looks like a Silverado. One thing I'm not a fan of is that giant tablet screen, but otherwise GMC did very well.

This truck is pretty sweet. I still see a Ridgeline / Avalanche look to it. And the price is insane... not to include the markups.. With that being said, this truck is very nice. The interior is great in this GMC.
Can you name the ones currently running on the streets. Bolt which they had to drop it's price to sell them and the limited production $100,000+. Hummer. All these new pick up trucks are over 1 year from availability to consumers.

I hope GM isn’t overdoing it with the introduction of all their new vehicles. if they’re still having trouble getting supplies, and the economy is going into a recession, I don’t want to see them cutting corners in the future because of financial trouble.

This truck is so sick GMC is really setting themselves ahead of Ford especially, when it comes to that 400 miles of range. Also I’m very happy with the fact a normal ev truck will now have four wheel steering definitely will help in parking lots and such. All in all very impressive I can’t wait to buy one in 10 years lol
This is a beautiful looking truck. I like the functionality of the truck, great styling, and what appears to be great range with the ability to get 100 miles range off just a few minutes of charge. I’m looking forward to first drives with this truck, I anticipate that it will be a smooth driver and a competent everyday driver.
As a lightning owner I am just happy to see other car manufacturers coming out with their ideas! Maybe this will push forward to not only lower the prices, but get better ideas for themselves!
I like it. Just not sure how I feel about the instrument cluster, with it just sticking up out of the dash like an ipad seems like a bit of an afterthought. Also when looking at the infotainment, I saw heated seats but did not see ventilated seats. Hopefully GMC has that on the production model, otherwise it would be a massive zonk at 107k

I love it. Big gmc fan. My first vehicle was 1989 gmc ext cab. I love they finally added a panoramic sunroof. The aggressive styling is nice to look at. And the fact that is an ev is even better. The numbers look great and I can’t wait to get one.

There are people out there who is Financially set to have one of these trucks, especially those with very high Credit Scores, as for me, I can comfortably only go as far as an SLE/ICE version and I'm okay with that.

Don't know why Chevy didn't just call it that instead.
Its a trend nowadays that they get rid of levers , manual switch and opt to use software push buttons - to open stuff like hood, glove compartments, doors and trunk- its a stupid trend knowing if the software crashed - you have little or no option to open those things .

I agree sort of I have a 2001 2500 HD Duramax with 315k . I am getting a new 1500 Trail boss . I would buy a EV because charging at home is 1/3rd the cost of fuel . Driving 4K yr it’s much better to do repairs and gas/fuel. I’ve put in 100k in fuel so it would be a 60k savings.
Absolutely amazing what GMC did. I like how basically the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV are Avalanches, but they did it in a way that pays respect to it. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

It's interesting. I prefer the Screens/dash of the ICE Sierra. I do like the back wall passthru. I think it would look better with Vader Chrome moldings instead of gloss black.
Joe, while I have no objection to the evolution of these various EVs, I'd be willing to bet that the automakers are getting way ahead of themselves in this process. The vast majority of the driving public has no interest in these overpriced EVs and I am in that group. I believe the more realistic process should include many more hybrid options with a smaller percentage devoted to the EV market. That said, this particular truck is really very cool.
It is really interesting the push especially towards these high dollar ev vehicles. They are great show pieces, but what type of volume are they actually expecting? 100k+ especially given the current economic downturn seems like a weird market to focus on. Disjointed reply, but this all seems rushed and short sighted.
I can’t believe they didn’t get rid of the traditional gear shift selector. Definitely a ZONK for me. I’d rather the newer style buttons and/or toggle gear selector. Overall I love it!!!! Thanks for Showing.

Stylistically, this is a really impressive and cohesive design. Long term durability we'll have to wait and see.
The only issues GM are having with their ev’s especially with the hummer is just software.
American Car Company's are notorious for having stunning concept vehicles . Then " roll out " time comes , & they're salvaging surplus parts & piecing together something that isn't like the concept vehicle . I'll believe it when I see it .

Soooo, I preordered the Tesla Cyber Truck back in June of 2020 one night while I was drinking Johnny Walker. Fast forward to now. I stopped drinking over a year a go, and just cancelled my Cybertruck order after using my abacus to determine affordability. Thank you for reviewing this ultra clean truck.

I agree sort of I have a 2001 2500 HD Duramax with 315k . I am getting a new 1500 Trail boss . I would buy a EV because charging at home is 1/3rd the cost of fuel . Driving 4K yr it’s much better to do repairs and gas/fuel. I’ve put in 100k in fuel so it would be a 60k savings.
I don’t even need a truck but I want to buy one from him 😂

Absolutely amazing what GMC did. I like how basically the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV are Avalanches, but they did it in a way that pays respect to it. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
I think I might just get this truck. Already have a family hauler for long trips so this can be my daily drive.

I love how GMC did a nice job making luxury versions of their pickups trucks, I wish there is an EV version of the Terrain

It's interesting. I prefer the Screens/dash of the ICE Sierra. I do like the back wall passthru. I think it would look better with Vader Chrome moldings instead of gloss black.
Joe, while I have no objection to the evolution of these various EVs, I'd be willing to bet that the automakers are getting way ahead of themselves in this process. The vast majority of the driving public has no interest in these overpriced EVs and I am in that group. I believe the more realistic process should include many more hybrid options with a smaller percentage devoted to the EV market. That said, this particular truck is really very cool.
It is really interesting the push especially towards these high dollar ev vehicles. They are great show pieces, but what type of volume are they actually expecting? 100k+ especially given the current economic downturn seems like a weird market to focus on. Disjointed reply, but this all seems rushed and short sighted.

Looks very nice! However, the rear tail lights look like they were taken directly from an F-150 though.
I can’t believe they didn’t get rid of the traditional gear shift selector. Definitely a ZONK for me. I’d rather the newer style buttons and/or toggle gear selector. Overall I love it!!!! Thanks for Showing.

Absolutely beautiful but I bought a maverick xlt hybrid out the door for 26200 out the door does all I need for me just can't justify 100 grand for a truck that dealers will mark up for more technology will change for the better I'll wait! Ps I'm getting 47 to 52 mpg saved at least 80 grand over the gmc! Sorry
