As for the design of this truck, this is hands down my favorite of all the electric trucks that have come out in recent months. I highly doubt many people will actually take out the tablet, or even know that it's removable. xD

I like 15:24 everything about it, for a 4 seater It just needs a arm rest and cup holder for the back seaters. It’s missing the centre seat, It’s gonna make Friday nights little more challenging when you take your girl home too

Dude. I tested all models/makes of truck. As soon as I sat in the 2020 1500, I knew it was the one. Salesguy did his thing and got me financing, even though it was Slightly outside of my price range.
This ev will probably be no different. Only thing is the range, because I like driving 1200 km straight either maybe a stop for fuel at a petrol station or when I remember my gerry cans.

Well this definitely changes things… I might be a truck guy after all. This truck is just brilliant. Very well thought out and I’m simply amazed. I remember being a kid and having a futuristic Hotwheels truck and this reminds me so much of that. We are in the future.
I can tell you’ve never owned a pickup before if you’re impressed by this. This is why evs are not selling.
This vehicle is a home run. Everything about it is well thought out. Love this, and I'm not even a truck guy. Beautiful vehicle.

Looks like the Ford Lightning just got ZAPPED!
What I like about it is that the bed is large enough to put a gasoline or diesel generator to extend the range. Make sure you can charge it as you are driving.

I almost loathe trucks - at least, I'm not fond of how bigger seems to always be better - but this... my goodness. Absolutely smashed it. If I ever had to get a truck, I'd want it to be this one.

It's quite pretty, no doubt. I'm not sold on the wing mirror system, I can see a big learning curve there. I would also trade in that 3rd row seating for a longer bed. My first thought when you showed the windshileld transition into the roof was, "I can only imagine the repair cost." Be interesting to see the towing capabilities. Lastly, like everything else, the cost is going to hamper the average Joe from getting their hands on something like this and helping get away from gas or diesel.
I became addicted to the RAM in 2013 when I got my first 1500. It was a v-6 automatic and I used it as a pilot vehicle. In 15 months of driving and escorting oversized loads, I put over 81,000 kms on the truck. It never failed me once, handled any weather, terrain and demands I placed on it and gave me over 30 mpg while doing it. I will definitely look into ordering one of these after seeing the unit. The only thing I am looking forward to is the road test video. THAT will clinch the deal for me.💕
I’ve heard of and seen plenty of failed and broken Rams. Plenty of rusted through Rams less than 10 years old also. No thanks.

skip the 18+inch rims please and give them some thick side wall some of use actually go on ruff road's/off roading and do keep the airbags/torsion-bar-active systems as the fixed coiled one's sag/brake-down and leave you stranded i now iv got 2 in the driveway from this

No common man can afford one of these. If you make under 250k you can't afford this. Once trucks went north of 35k it was over. You have to either take out an 84 month loan and put 10k down and pay 1100 a month or you are rich and buy it out right.

Needs a Range Extender option! Just a little 1-1.2 L turbo with ~6 gal of gas stuffed out of the way (frunk or under the bed) should be about right. This will greatly enhance towing range and will bridge the gap until charging infrastructure is built out. but won’t be enough to encourage ‘cheating’ on the battery use.

I currently own a 2021 RAM 1500 Limited and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned, but I'll be trading it in for one of these as soon as it's available.
Never really been a fan of RAM but this truck is GORGEOUS. And the fact that it can have 3 rows of seats with the 3rd row built into the mid-gate? They too note of all the functionality wanted and/or needed it seems like.
I cannot agree more with you. I would buy this as my first electric truck
@@G80pon Same here! Even have a friend who’s a die-hard ICE, Diesel driver and he said if he had the chance to and would be able to transport cars the same on his trailer, he’d trade in for one easily. I was holding out for the cybertruck but this truck just makes sense.

They really went through the whole truck and thought of some innovative things.
A pick up truck with 3 rows of seating from the factory is pretty sweet!! Man this thing is pretty sweet.

Third row seating was the first thing my wife suggested when she saw the long cab. Glad to see them have already thought of that.
My thoughts is that’s it’s a good thought but not practical. Reminds me of the small pickup trucks from the 80s and 90s with that little seat in the back. I’d have to see it in action.
Impressive is the single best word for this truck.
I did own a Ram for 18 yrs. before.
But not convinced the infrastructure to support such a wonderful truck is in place yet.

I love the interior designs. It is very impressive especially the infotainment front camera touch screen, the Rolls-Royce doors' layout and the beautiful comfortable seats. GORGEOUS pick up truck. First class and spacious.
I am an old Mopar guy, and I never thought I would want an electric truck, but this changed my mind.

love the design-door ( and the roof as it's fun to having the convertible/glass vibe's ) ( im a 60's/conservative truck themed guy but, door's are more user friendly in this configuration vs the 2022 lighting's ) but short-5ft-bed ( like the cyber trucks-SS but bed?? um not so sure average working is going to like using it/bedside but the ramp is a nice touch also 5ft~ ) and 120k usd nope 1 🦌hit im broke without transport just too much $$$ but yeah it's a nice looking truck the dashboard could use some work/misosing as it looks like something i did in my backyard DIY iPad+duck/armytape dash anyone? come on do better at the final-gingerbread as it's super close to chefs-kiss 👍 and im okay with a big touchscreen consoles
I really am not a huge EV fan but I can’t help but to appreciate that Dodge went above and beyond to make the Banshee, and this as cool as they could make an EV.. It isn’t their fault that these Electrification Laws are going to force the market to change, but just imagine how sick this truck would be with a 392, or a 6.2.. 😍

This is one of the best electric trucks I've ever seen. Great job Ram.
I like the truck’s many clever design features. Like all EV’s, I have concerns with battery life, battery replacement cost vs the trade in value, charging time (will it ever be as fast as filling the tank with gas?), and cold weather effects on battery, charging time and convenience, cabin heating and motor performance; and hot weather AC demands on the battery. I also worry if the lithium ion battery will catch fire like it did on the 787 and Galaxy smart phones when they came out. And, the cost of installing a 220 VAC charger at home and remembering to use it in time are other issues. If many people have success with EV’s and they have proven to be better or as good as gas vehicles, then I will consider them if the price was roughly half that estimated $100,000. Right now, there are too many unknowns. Good review. Thanks.
We still have a long way to go before EVs take over. It is going to be interesting to see how it pans out.

The large cab with jump seats is a great idea not just for people but cargo like, luggage, ice chest, tools, etc. Crew cabs are the most desirable trucks and this takes it to the next level.
there are no interior door handles---its a touch unlock button and then just push door open. I agree with everyone-Ram did a ton of stuff correct---great job
I couldn’t care less if it’s better than the Lightning. I like the Ram concept for what it is … looking forward to the production version. The designers killed it, hope the production truck performs better than it looks, even if I can’t afford it 🤣🤣🤣

It awesome more room than old one and add technique Face ID open door ,double screen,and storage in back side bed ,plus room bed slide back for camping tent perfect …. I love it extra rooms and 3 rows that cool ….. like a tron too

Beautiful truck for sure. As we all know ALL manufacturers have electrical issues. Ram raised the bars for design back in 2019 and again with this truck. With all the new stuff being thought of being put into it. Please deliver it and not scrap some features when it comes to production. This is the first time I am seeing lots of positive feed backs from viewers for a Stellantis product. Focus on the reliability and longevitiy of your products I am sure everyone will appreciate that.

I believe companies are forgetting why people want to buy EV. Pricing anything at 80k, doubling it gasoline cousin is like shooting yourself on the foot.
Great review for this good looking vehicle, definitely got my eye on this vehicle.
One thing I like about RAM is they like to be bold. Love their aggressive design style. Not a huge fan of the rims or the steering wheel, but I bet I’d like them if I saw it in person.
Heck the wheels would probably be an option, concept cars have weird wheels all the time too

I see the future like this, pull into the grocery store, every parking spot has a charging station, plug in, get your desired goods, pay a small fee, as every charging station is wind and solar energy supplied, we need to apply this NOW!! Also your vehicle is regenerated through solar panels and wind turbines. Cheers!

Can see lines that remind me of the fender bulges on the Second Generation BE/BR RAM which I like. A nod to the past with a modern twist. Perhaps Ralph Gilles may have overseen the design stages of this new revolution? Eventually we will know

Joe, I have a 2015 EV. I charge it on my regular house current. It takes about 11 hours to charge. EV people say this is the best way to charge an EV to preserve the life of the battery. Fast charging depletes the battery much faster. Just like with your phone, if you fast charge it the battery life will be greatly reduced. I hope the new batteries in the future will take care of this issue.

I love it, but have concerns over range, edspecially if you tow anything. I realize that there may be an extended range version with a small motor to power the battery, but that likely will cause the loss of the nice frunk. What to do? And I wouldn't count on those salloon doors making the final cut because of laws over rollover strength.
Doors don't look done at all on the inside. I'm sure they will look different in the production version. But truck looks beautiful overall! Finally one goodlooking BEV Truck! Thanks for the video guys!

The new Prius has a much more sensible display system, where it puts it up front at the top. The dual screens are overkill. The seat tracks are very practical. 100 miles in 10 minutes charging is excellent. They will sell a lot of these, as it designed so distinctively that it will confer status.

Man! What can I say? Ram came late to the party, but they absolutely nailed the look of the truck. I was a huge fan of the GMC Hummer EV, but when I saw this truck, it won me over. Also, all of the cool features that this truck has really shows the next generation of technology and what more cars will adopt in the future. I would absolutely take this truck over any other one on the market. Like always Joe, great job on the video showing us all of the inner details of the truck. Can’t wait to see the production model!

Very impressive and awesomely handsome design. The only down side is the concept of both side doors to be swing opened. I had owned a 2003 and 2007 Honda Element with the same side doors concept. They are such a pain to open two doors when parked inside a garage or in a public parking unless I parked far away from all in order to have spaces on both side when opened. The concept is hard to beat but it is not always practical. Good luck to the new owners.
