Really enjoy listening to you speak on these works. Franco's films have many extraordinary and unique images in them for sure, not fully aligned to your usual exploitation fodder... much more complex and transgressive and I would say 'Punk' actually! We need film makers to walk in this vein currently more than ever.
@@AL_TFA finally! I thought I'm the only one who loves Jess's work. I watched almost all of his movies. It's a weird director - there are so many flaws, and yet, you go along with it, because he gives you something else.
@@AL_TFA It is strange that he never did a film for Shaw Brothers, even Ridley Scott did (a pretty insignificant film that nobody knows about these days called: Blade Runner. Haha), and Hammer did a masterpiece with them that most people hate (I love it!): The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires. And Ernst Hofbauer made one together with the great Kuei Chih-Hung, and same with Bitto Albertini. So it would have been fun seeing Jess Franco in HK or so.
