probably my favourite Franco movie. So beautiful! In my opinion, it belongs to the same category as "Female Vampire", "Shining Sex", 'Al otro lado del espejo", "Doriana Von Sade", "Bahia Blanca"... - quiet slow burners.
It boggles my mind how Blue Underground has not upgraded this from DVD (yet). Not only is it classic early 70's Franco but also one of the few that has Soladad Miranda! THAT alone should have expedited the release. Instead they keep putting out various editions of the same 99 Women, Justine, and Eugenie '70. 🥱 not that there's anything wrong with those films but I prefer Eugenie '73. If Blue Underground isn't interested in upgrading I'm sure Severin or Mondo Macabro would jump on it. Severin has been doing great with their Franco releases. OK, rant over, haha.
I'm sure even if BU simply used their 2008 DVD master and put that out as an upscale (the way they did with the two Franco Fu Manchu films), they would sell a good few units. My guess would be, they don't have the rights. Or they want to create a new scan but the negative is damaged/unavailable
yes, one of my favourites. 🙂
A definite favourite. Hopefully one day it will be upgraded. Really nice review.
I think, if Blue Underground are disinclined, Le Chat Qui Fume would be a great label to release Eugenie in HD on disc in Europe
@@AL_TFA I would buy it without hesitation.

It's hard to pick just one favourite Franco, isn't it. Too many to choose from
@@AL_TFA agree. His movies start to make sense after you watched 40-50 of them…
