Predicting Nintendo's 2024 - Switch 2's Debut

Between the upcoming games and the Switch 2’s constantly-growing rumours, Nintendo’s 2024 is looking like an incredible year. However, most of it remains a mystery, with everything beyond March being a question mark. Let’s predict EVERY game (and system) that Nintendo will drop next year!

Earthbound/Mother 2 turns 30 this year, so I’m going to pray that we get a remake in the style of Link’s Awakening, but for obvious reasons that’s not a prediction

A followup to the 2017 Switch presentation would be so amazingly hype, and all your ideas are fantastic while still feeling very possible. Your concept logos here are terrific as well! (Dokney Kong City keeping the DKC acronym is genius.) This video was so much fun to watch, and I'm starting to get excited for all the possibilities of 2024. I'll be sure to submit a complaint to Protendo Industries when reality doesn't match this video

You forgot one thing... at the end of the September direct, a surprise xbox logo shows up with announcement of Call of Duty 2024, Launching day one on Nintendo Switch 2. It's launch will be VERY rocky, with fans complaining about frame drops and input lag, but will sell millions and convince thousands more to pick up a switch 2.

One thing I think is almost guarunteed to happen is upgrades for specific switch games, most notably totk. Giving it good frame rate and resolution bump would really reinvigorate interest in the already amazing game. This would also make the perfect opportunity to add in master mode and some other improvments. This would actually make a great game awards announcement but I doubt they would save it for then

I always desperately hope for something new with Kid Icarus, but I know how unlikely that is. Maybe we could get a Splatoon spin-off since we obviously wouldn't be getting a Splatoon 4 yet? I love the idea of a Squidbeak Splatoon focused Warriors game (I call it Splatoon Agents) and would be refreshing from the other warriors game since they all go for more of a medieval fantasy vibe.

It’s actually dangerous watching this kind of thing because it makes me hyped for what is essentially a fantasy although I’m sure some things will be accurate. One prediction I have that is probably a bit extreme but still certainly possible is that the switch 2 could be announced for February for an end of summer release, this allows for the Pokémon presents which will likely happen the week after this announcement to say “hey the bw remake(or whatever it’ll be) will be releasing on the switch 2 either at launch or just after) that’d give a third huge selling point for that console

This is truly the most perfect “prediction” of this upcoming year. Will it all come true? More than likely, no. But I do expect that this year will still be huge for Nintendo and that we won’t be too disappointed!

the idea of Donkey Kong City is fantastic. as long as it’s just the same style and gameplay as Retro’s games. as long as the level design is as creative, level themes are as dynamic, and level design bleeds effortlessly into the actual world design like the old games.

ive got a feeling with the brief updates of new horizons we might get a new mainline game on switch 2 by 2025, with a spinoff launching on switch in 2024

I think for the new Mario kart, it’s more likely that they don’t have 24 retro tracks and 24 new tracks. 24 retro tracks is the issue, I just don’t think there’s that many interesting retro tracks left. Instead, I can see them doing 16 Mario kart themed course, 16 retro, and 16 “X” tracks, which will be crossovers with other Nintendo franchises. Imagine a Metroid themed race, a Kirby themed race, and a pikmin themed race

Twilight Princess really needs more work on comparing to Wind Waker HD, I played both games recently and TP HD really did not aged that well, maybe we'll see a proper overhaul on the next console
