Personally I doubt that there are large quantities of shot game simply abandoned in the field in Germany. It does make one consider feeding stations. If there are any there and how they are managed. Lots of shot bunnies being fed to them would account for the high concentration of lead particles...Perhaps

I didn't see a single whingeing scientist, only some presenting their highly creditable and well thought out research. Sorry Charlie, as a shooter I enjoy the show but you don't do yourself or the shooting community any favours by simply slagging off respected scientists. Much better to present your own dispassionate research if it points towards a different story and then leave the viewers to decide for themselves.

There's been a story in the British sporting press that poaching has been especially bad in Kerry
I am assuming that the sea eagles ingestion of lead core is from shot quarry that has not been picked up?
There are some groups like WWT out to get lead, claim a scalp and win some new members
