Vinnie Jones is so underated as a human being how he interacted with Paul without talking down to him yet highlighting his issues was increadibly mindfull using his own issues in life and recovery as an example.
The smile on Vinnies face watching those deer says it all. I watched Gazza play many times at Spurs, true legend 🙌
I used to live a mile away from Gaza when he used to come up to the glebe football pitch to watch Whickham. Then he turned out to be one of our best footballers of all time. Top bloke, Stay safe Paul. Thanks for looking after him Mr Jones. 👍🏆🇬🇧

Spent plenty of time with Gazza playing golf and going to the pub over many months. He’s the most generous needy person I’ve ever met. I think he missed the adulation of the crowds and needed to replace those highs, hence the drink and drugs. All he wants is to be loved but he cannot help tripping himself up now and again. Having said all that, he is a very special albeit fragile human being.
Well said, this is the impression I got of him, without having the pleasure of spending time with him.
@@etsyconsultant cheers for that. It is absolutely true. I spent 3 months with him on a more or less day to day basis. He truly is a wonderful human being and is exceptionally humble with time for everyone he meets, unfortunately this is what gets him into trouble by going down the wrong path now and again.

I met Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne many times in Spain while I was working at Chirinquito Floria. He is one of the nicest people we had as a guest.

passed vinnie shoulder to shoulder once, he was huge and dressed so ssharp and just flashed this awesome smile at me and i felt his awesome energy, hes a man whos overcome adversity and understands the biger pisture now and is giving back. beautiful. a true warrior of life and hero of the people, p.s i was a pro dancer and it was at a rehearsal space in ballspond road london, i think vinnie was rehearsing the release of his single mustang sally, he was wearing pin strip suit and shades, but his smille and energy ere off the charts, ill never forget that flash of good enery, thanks vinnie, you wont remember me but i remember you and to see you now is nothing short of beautiful, enjoying nature and gods presence. live long and prosper borther xxx

It's so good to see the Legend that is Paul Gascoine still managing to cast a fly with his friends. It reminds me on that story that Ally McCoist tells about Paul hiding the trout in the car. Paul Gascoine thank you so much for the memories from a Rangers fan. I hope that you are in good health and thank you Mr Jones for keeping in touch with Paul and getting him out fishing and doing the other sport he loves.

@@wolves1980 It's the only form of fishing where your lead weight is esentially your mainline. It's a fine art and probably the most involved form of fishing. Much more skilful than sat behind electronic bite alarms.
I remember watching Leeds play Wimbledon after vinny played at Leeds..They had no ground then and was playing at Selhurst Park..Never forget when the ball went out near the Leeds fans as we were singing marching on together..Vinnie came to take the throwing for Wimbledon and joined in with his hand in the air..A True Leeds legend always ❤️
Gazza is a sensitive guy who was so talented. A cheeky chappy. Vinnie is a big hearted man. I remember when he invited us the Sky Tv crew to his greyhound after party at Wimbledon. Very generous.
I was lucky to enjoy a Gazza evening the other week, what a fun night, he gave anecdote after anecdote for 90 mins non stop…..brilliant stories, what a player and a top bloke….quality, as is Vinnie, respect to them both.

Vinnie's a hard man with a heart of gold. What can you say about Gazza, hopefully he'll get back some of the pleasure an happieness he gave us. One of the best players I was lucky enough to see
I was 8 when I moved to Australia from Wales (1991), but even as a kid back then, Gazza was everywhere. Everyone was talking about him. He's probably the most naturally gifted football player England has ever produced.
Vinnie is one lovely person yes he was mad as in his day but what you see now is a completely different person he is a legend

This was good I knew vinnie was a countryside fella and also that Gazza liked a bit of fishing, two very cool likeable lads from 80/90s football.
Gazza is a genuine, honest guy. He was a genius on the field, most talented player alongside Bobby Charlton. He was the best in the world at what he did.
I recently spent a wild 3 hrs with Gazza in my cab. What a lovely guy.
Gazza was truly of the greatest footballers! He was absolutely incredible in his prime! Sad story!

I remember Football Focus on a Saturday morning years ago , Gazza was breaking into the big time. The segment he was fly fishing on a lake , eating a Mars Bar 😂 Two absolute legends of football. Jones could play . But it’s the team he was in meant enforcing was his priority . Gazza , well arguably the most talented English footballer of all time 👌🇮🇪
I used to live in Kerry in Ireland. I used to fish in the Irish rivers for trout and sea trout.. this reminds me of this time and I want to go back there some day.

I have a wonderful memory of a pro-celebrity fly fishing match on Rutland Water many years ago. Vinnie was paired with the late, great Bob Church, and after the fishing there was a reception in the lodge, with many of the ‘nobs’ in attendance. A long speech was given by Moc Morgan, a very Welsh fly angler, sadly also no longer with us. Then it was Vinnie’s turn. He stood up and said: "I wasn’t really watching, but when I heard him speaking
I thought at first one of our friends from Pakistan had joined us." There was a shocked silence for a moment, then polite applause, then Moc laughed, everyone relaxed and it turned into a great evening. A lot of money was raised for charity, too. Well done, Vinnie, always one to go straight for the Crown Jewels!

I was fishing at Dever Springs in Hampshire and couple of years ago and Gazza was fishing there. He unfortunately fell in and I pulled him out. I didn't say anything to anyone till a couple of days later when someone reported to the Daily Mail and sold a photo of me pulling him out. I thought that was wrong and Gazza was a lovely guy and didn't need that attention.
