All Soong thought were superior traits were strength and intelligence. He ended up with a bunch of deceitful, duplicitous murders. He never thought that compassion and empathy and soul were important. The same with the android “Lore.”
It's meant to represent the soong as an older man. He had variuos skin lumps when we saw him in brothers as well and he was a great deal older than he appears here...

it is funny you mention that. For *Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers,* since it was essentially the "next generation' of *Halloween* movies, the director used a Data mask for Michael.
