I was impressed with the 600. My biggest selling point was I have Google home speakers throughout my whole house and the 600 can sync with them in the Google home app
This thing is really nice. I bought it for my vacation condo which is basically the size of a small to med size apt. It will be a couple of weeks before I can get there so I set it up in my bedroom at home to test it and I'm very impressed. I was worried about the bass based on some comments in reviews but it's better than expected. I played a couple of yt videos with emphasis on bass and it was good. I realize if I added a sub 500 it would be better but for my condo this will be more than enough sound. I'm afraid a sub would bother my neighbors. I got this for $319 from Bose Refurbished. A fair price imo.
Only sounds like loud noise out of the box. With everything set to 100, it sounds more refined. There have been several complaints regarding the soundbar disconnecting from the TV resulting in frequent resets. This is a flaw I would not tolerate. I’ll be trying it out soon to see what my experience is. I currently have the HT-S2000 which I was thinking of returning because of considerable lags when switching modes and only gets worse with streaming. I understand that there are popping sounds on the Bise when switching modes. Since changing TV modes is not really done frequently, it’s something I can live with and would keep the Sony if the Bose ends up giving giving me the connectivity problems mentioned and/or if the sound is not to my liking. There are too many mixed reviews on line and can’t be sure if you’ve made the best choice unless you test them at home. A coup,e reviews were outstanding and prompted me to get the Bose instead. It was after the fact that that I saw a number of negative reviews…………….lovely!!
If same price, bose 600 + Bose 500 sub. The bose 500 sub adds a lot of depth and dynamic range. Bose 900 is great and atmos sounds better than the bose 600 but it won't match the power with the 600 + 500 sub combined.
I use a zvox soundbar and it does help with sound. With just the TV, dialog does not come in clearly enough. But the best of all is headphones, bluetooth is easier than wired.
It depends on your space requirements and budget. I currently use the bose 600 + bose bass module 700 in the home theater but the JBL atmos systems come with good subs while costing much less on sale.
The Bose 700 is closer to the 900 without the atmos while the bose 600 is similar to the bose 300 with atmos. I would personally go with the 600 because of atmos and small size but the 700 will have higher volume and better bass. So living room, 700...bedroom 600.
Is it good for a small room that also acts as a music stereo player? And if your already a fan of the "bose sound" would a jbl be a better value option?
Hi! Yes good for a small room as a music player but you will want to adjust the settings in the Bose Music app to increase the BASS. JBL is better value as I think when on sale, it is great bang for the buck. The JBL 5.0 on sale could be $250 ish and it is VERY good.
Hi! JBL Bar 1000 because of it has 4 channel JBL Bar 1000 uses four up-firing drivers but this setup costs a lot more than the Bose 600 + Bass module 500 (at least when bose is on sale)
Hi, does someone know how to connect using bass output some active subwoofer different brand? I have SVS SB-1000Pro and even on the SVS web they said it is working only need a 3.5mm jack to RCA adapter and then sub cable...but it's not. I checked cables, connect it to the smartphone and sub is working but from Bose not, it seems like there is no signal at this Bass output, how to enable it?
I tried using it with my computer, but there is no way to connect it, except Bluetooth.... There is no 3.5mm jack input, it does not work with non arc HDMIs, either. I don't need stupid apps on my phone. Just curious, why does Bose Music app need access to my contacts on my phone? I have a cheap Bluetooth speaker that sounds better than this bar. It is not worth it.
If they were the same price, the Bose 600 is superior to the Bose 300 BUT if you are using it in a smaller room (under 250sq ft) and if the Bose 300 is $100-200 less than the Bose 600, I would save the money and go with the Bose 300.
Got mine for $400 on Black Friday. So far I really like it.
I bought one at Walmart for $270 brand new! For that price point it’s amazing
Wha! That's a great price? How???
I was impressed with the 600. My biggest selling point was I have Google home speakers throughout my whole house and the 600 can sync with them in the Google home app
Thanks for sharing. Love my 600 the more I use it because it's so easy to use

I think it's very good
what is better for dialogue the bose 600 or jbl 5.1
The bose 600 looks just like the 300 but I compared to your 300 review, it does sound better. But you're right... not sure if worth it.

For living room size of 15 * 15 ft, will BOSE 600 be enough...? I have a SONY BRAVIA 3 65" TV.
Is there a huge difference between this model and the 700? Its a worth the money?
For a smallish room bose 900 only OR BOSE 600+ BOSE 500 SUBWOOFER? Cost total is almost same?

Do you recommend Bose600 with the Bose Bass module 500 comparing with JBL 500 pro
So...whats better the JBL, or the Bose 600?

Great sound but bass seems weak! Last week
Jbl bar 500 or bose 600 which is a must buy pls tell me
Because they have positioned the forward facing speakers upwards it must be lacking in forward facing sound!

Hi! JBL Bar 1000 because of it has 4 channel JBL Bar 1000 uses four up-firing drivers but this setup costs a lot more than the Bose 600 + Bass module 500 (at least when bose is on sale)

Terrible review 😮
Why so negative? I thought he did a great job!
