    Its nonsense holding gear by not finished surface it's dumb because inside hole will not be in center after all he must use center hole

      Never worked in a machine shop? The casting looks like it's out of round, but the center hole is bored, and the outer surface is parallel to it. And as you can see, it's perfectly machined and still parallel to the center bore.

    • @timshal2
      @timshal2 5 дней назад

      @jimmyplain7583 it can be parallel but not perfectly in center even half mm can damage gear.

      @@jimmyplain7583 No, he did not center the inner bore on the machine, watch when he takes it off, you can see.

    i may sound a bit ignorabt but should the part be better centered in the chuck

      This is Pakistan! In addition, the gear does not shine with quality either... And it will do!

      Это тот случай, когда улучшать - только портить. Сточить зубы косозубого колеса с твердостью поверхностного слоя 65HRC резцом из быстрорежущей стали с твердостью 60-62HRC уже показывает уровень качества. Так что отсутствие радиального биения зубчатого венца, относительно оси детали на уровне 0.01 мм - меньшее из зол. И оскомину набил вопрос, почему показывают ремонт, а не работу отремонтированных деталей(риторический вопрос).

    Биение не устранили теперь агрегат будет шуметь и не долго будет работать, будет износ. Мастер за изобретательноть 5 а за работу 2.

    Now that was patience and attention to detail to get te fit correct and maintain the proper diameter on the gear. Nicely done sir. 😊

      But what about the appalling non concentricity of the damaged gear when it was being turned off and then the ' thread' put on? The thing is at least 200 thou out of concentricity. The finished gear will end up going in and out of engagement with its neighbour.

  • @cafe6010
    @cafe6010 4 дня назад

    I admire the hard work, but this is not good. The inner bore was not centered to start with and that ruins it. 2nd thing is that both should have been machined smooth with a too tight fit. Then the inner could have been chilled and the outer ring heated and the two halfs put together then.
