Crawfish and Smallmouth Cookout on a Boat!

- Me ancient and I set out to smallmouth fish the winding Snake River and ended up doing a pretty great crawfish and bass catch and cook right on our boat! We left home with nothing but a jar of cashews and had to catch the rest of our food for dinner. We did not go home hungry! The crawdads are out in droves and looking fatter and healthier than I've seen. The best lure of the day was a soft plastic with a hint of blue on the belly because that was the color of the craws we were finding.

I started fishing when I was about 4 years old. Fished with my pops for 20+ years and 8 years ago, he passed away. I sure miss them days when we would just sit at the bank and catch whatever we could. Keep making them vids with your pops Ace! I love watching them
In the future they will analyze Ace's body and found out that 80% of his diet is Crawdads.

Every time the crawfish get taken away they raise their claws like

Well, technically, they raise their claws to signal that they're scared and will go in "threat" mode. Like spiders.

@@itsyaboy7547 Yes they do. They raise their front legs in "attack mode" if they feel threatened or scared.
@@conniedoesexist1807 My younger sibling has two Chilean Rosehairs that not only raise their legs up at you, but they literally follow you by turning themselves slightly. It's super freaky.
