I watch a lot of fishing stuff on youtube, but Ace you're the most genuine person I think I've come across. No clickbait, no gimmicks, just a cool guy doing what he loves, and it shows. I've NEVER bought any merch from a youtuber before, but I feel great about ordering one of your level up in real life shirts. Happy to support you in the small way I can. Hope to see many more videos for years to come.
@Ben Arbo i will never worship a deity that made bugs that eat eyes or cancer that infects children remember that’s gods jurisdiction not the devils. Let’s just hope them cancer kids were baptized first cause ya you know.
@Ben Arbo I’ve read the Bible I was raised catholic. I aunt broke off to Mormon. My friends are Christian. Religion is a curse and a vile disease on humanity. I recommend you actually reread your book and maybe you’ll see where I’m coming from.
@Ben Arbo ha! See that’s your prejudice. I worship myself and no other just the way satan did. No I understand the book. You are the one corrupted by the different interpretations that don’t get listened to but at face value or by what your preacher says it means. Go reread the whole thing. God is the bad guy the asshole the prick.Satan the devil lucifer the morning star. Was a seeker of freedom god wants control. The devil is a metaphor for how I live my life.
Hey man, just wanted to say your the one who inspired me to start fishing and camping! All I’ve been doing is saving for gear and I’m so exited to start my own journey in the wild!!!!
"Drenched with the dew of heaven like king Nebuchadnezzar" lol It's condensation. To prevent it, you should ventilate your tent by rolling back the rain fly or leaving the vestibule door open so humid air and moist exhalations from your breath can escape. By the way, I love your long videos !! I always watch the whole thing and I don't even notice the time going by !!
Asa, I cannot explain how God has used you in comforting me since my son, Jordan Miller, left a year ago for the Navy, less than a month after his high school graduation. It was so hard for me because it was just me and him since he was 5. He's like you...he loves to fish, he's a good Christian boy, and he loves thre outdoors! I have all his rods and reels and tackle boxes here at the house, just waiting om him to come home from Sasebo, Japan...just 3 more years! Pleaseeee don't stop making these videos because it's so nice to watch something so good and clean! I know your Momma and Daddy stree so proud of you and Micah! God bless you boys!
When you season you fish ace, bend the fish in a C shape. It will open up those scor marks and u will get a lot better seasoned fish. Makes a HUGE difference
Hey guys, put your butter in the bottom of the pan with your oil when popping popcorn. It won't burn. I make homemade popcorn on the stove at home and that's what I do. That way your butter distributes evenly all through the popcorn. 🌽
Hey fellas I'm a Chef, and one of the best things with trout is pre boiled potatoes, and then just fry them in some butter and salt and pepper and garlic until you get a nice golden brown color. Then sear the trout skin side down until it's crispy and add butter and garlic and things like thyme or rosemary into the pan and just spoon that buttery flavor over the meat side until it's fully cooked through. and then fry up some bacon, toss in some apple, a little oil, a little vinegar and a touch of maple for a maple bacon vinaigrette to drizzle over the trout layered on top of the potatoes. You're welcome fellas! : )
my tried & true onion ring recipe: cut your onions into rings & soak in buttermilk for at least 15 mins. prep your flour by adding the seasonings you like. (i add garlic powder, seasoning salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. you can add whatever you want. i like this mixture) once the onions have soaked, toss them in the flour, separate them so they make separate rings and dont clump, and fry them in the oil of your choice! (i use vegetable oil)
My Onion Rings Recipe: Make a quick simple batter for the onion with all purpose flour about 200 grams, salt, pepper, herbs if you wanna, paprika, AND ACE'S FIRST CAST SEASONING, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda/powder (not yeast haha). Add water till it's gooey and sticky. Put the cut onions in flour THEN coat it then put in batter. Then for additional crunch, put the coated onion rings in fish fry or bread crumbs. (Salt everything well)
Hello Ace! You should try cooking ginger steam fish! Super delicious asian dish that wont disappoint. you should give it a try. Do make a video if you do make it. I would love to watch it
Ingredients 2 cups all-purpose flour, divided 2 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 1/2 cups (12 ounces) pale ale beer (See Kelly's Notes) 2 large yellow or Vidalia onions Vegetable oil, for frying Spicy ketchup, for dipping (optional) Instructions In a large bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of flour with the paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Whisk in the beer until the mixture is well combined. Let the batter rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. While the batter rests, cut the tip off of the stem side of the onions then remove the peel. Slice the onions horizontally into 1/2-inch-thick rings and toss them with the remaining 1/2 cup of flour. Add the vegetable oil to a large, heavy-bottomed pot (Dutch oven) to a depth of 2 inches and heat it over medium-high heat until a deep-fry thermometer reaches 375°F. Working in batches, dip the onion rings into the prepared batter, shaking off any excess, then immediately drop them into the hot oil. Be careful not to overcrowd the pot. Allow the onions to cook in the oil, flipping them once to guarantee even browning, for a total of about 3 minutes. Remove the onions with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate. Immediately season them with salt. Repeat the coating and frying process, returning the oil to 375°F between batches, with the remaining onions.
A recipe for some onion rings is some batter with water and breading crumbs to finish off the crunch . Or the fish fry with some sugar and vanilla extract !!
Dude you're so fortunate to have a brother who loves fishing too. My bros, friends, basically noone in my life loves fishing like I do so I always end up going alone. Which is great sometimes but id love a fishing buddy
I said the same thing. Just had a 60 year old coworker start who loves fishing, probably more than me because he’s been doing it so long. I already let him know he would be my fishing buddy this summer and he was down!
I never really thought of that. Guess I'm lucky too, me and my two brothers have always loved fishing. We go nearly every weekend from April to October!
I was so paranoid with that hot oil on that flimsy stand resting on a wobbling boat frame so close to your legs. Must be the Risk manager in me. Love your vids!
Hey ace! Trick with the popcorn, melt the butter in a different pot and pour on the popcorn for a more even coat. Some people also put in a spray bottle but can be messy. Then salt it. Hope it improves the popcorn!
I have found the best onion rings come from soaking the onion rings in a little bit of vinegar, apple cider is my preferred. After letting the onion rings sit in the vinegar for about half an hour take them out, pat them dry to get off any excess vinegar, and then put them directly into whole fat milk (you can substitute evaporated milk if you are on the boat) then into an egg wash, and then into seasoned bread crumbs. I prefer to use seasoned panko breadcrumbs, but any breadcrumb you like will do. After coating them in the dry batter let them sit for about 5-10 minutes or so before putting them into 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 177 degrees Celsius for those on the metric system haha, and cook until GBD. By allowing them to soak in the vinegar you get almost a faux pickle which makes the onion ring less likely to pull out of the batter because it has already been pre softened......everyone who has ever eaten onion rings knows what I'm talking about haha. Sorry I didn't post the recipe sooner, but this is my first time seeing this video. If you do come across this recipe by some chance, and you actually give a shot tell me what you think. Anyway keep making awesome content, and thanks for the entertainment.
Onion Ring AND Fish Beer Batter Recipe 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper 1 bottle of beer Mix up at home, place in zip lock baggie, put in cooler for later use. Prepare onion and fish. Place in baggie to coat. Remove and place in Louisianna dry Seafood Batter. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. EXCELLENT!
I GET TO GO FISHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ON SUNDAYYYY!!! AHHHH I CANT WAIT. I have a £120.00 fishing rod that is brand new for £20 on amazon and some nice sinkers, baits and spinners, lucky right? Anyways I’m mega excited
Perch was always a fun fish to catch. When they get to 1 to 1.5kg they are lively. I always also loved to fish Pike, as long as you used steel wire(1980's and 90's) because they chewed trough normal fishing line in a heartbeat. God bless and lots of love from a disabled Norwegian no longer healthy enough to fish. Thanks for letting me live vicariously trough you.
Ace! for onion rings, all you need is a wet batter, and you had the ingredients for the batter on the boat! Just need to add water/beer to your fry mix, and stir it till it resembles a pancake batter. This is not the traditional way to make them, but the final product should resemble what you want. You won't have to bring extra supplies just to make onion rings. Hope this helps!
Heyyyyyy aceeeee I've finally started fishing and I've got perch in my lake behind my house. Finally moved into my new place 😁😁😁. I gotta do my research before I go perch fishing and your my man 🤪🤪😁😁
I have just recently discovered your channel and have been binging your videos. I love fishing and I love your entertaining commentary. P.S you have to do a winter edition 3 day challenge brother!

Thank you so much for doing these videos, I am mad I just came across you yesterday but I'm catching up! Most of these "catch what I eat for 48 to 72 hours" videos be 8 minutes to 20 minutes long 😂 but you actually be out there and document EVERYTHING so thank you for doing this. As you learn you are also teaching because I love catching my own fish to eat these fish markets are ridiculous. Thanks again and please don't stop because some of us are learning! Oh yea your friend in this video is funny and fun as heck!!
Hey ace, remember 5 months ago when you said once the video hits 1 million views you would do another eating only what you catch for 3 days, well now it’s at almost 3 million so I think it’s fair to do 7 days 😁😁😁
I am definitely nottt your demographic, a 21 year old college girl from California who has neverrrrr been fishing but,.... I am addicted to your channel

You and your brother need to do a 24 hour eat only what catch challenge together. Then a 48 hour.. then a 72.. I’ve seen all your videos Asa, and at the wrong time of year, your brotherhood will be good entertainment. Hunger can’t kill you in three days, but it will build and strain character and you and your brother will end up victorious and with evidence of how good character should lead our friendships. You and Micah are amazing ying and yang... like my brother and me. Challenge... made...and post them on your brothers channel as support for him. You both need a channel on RUclips for joint ventures... no one of you deserve credit for both of your amazing work. Separate personal work from amazing work that your both share half the credit for... my daughter loves your recipes and the fun you both share for food fishing and ye ol man
