Commented earlier...but just wanted to say, in all seriousness, I did many of the things you mentioned in this video on my Mac. I really do love how much cleaner and minimal the whole look and feel is. Actually reduces stress a little when working on the machine. Thanks again!
I'm here since the beginning, probably one of the first 100 people subbed in your channel. Every, and I mean, EVERY new video that you upload is better than the previous one. My man, you're the best!
Your videos are such a joy to watch. They’re like visual candy. Thanks for the reminder to clean up my MacBook, I’ve been meaning to do it for a while!
How have I never found this channel before? Great video, really super in terms of describing WHY you’re doing these things, the logic of removing redundant double function items was eye opening! Oh and Monica’s closet moment - brilliant! 😂
Really dig your aesthetic, thank you for sharing! The only place I really departure from your ideals is the hiding of the menu bar and dock. My workspace feels so much cleaner, focused, and distraction-free, and all necessary access remains within the same physical constraints (I’d have to move my mouse anyways to get to any given icon or button, so the move to reveal either menu bar of dock is not wasted), so I don’t feel that I lose anything. I also enjoy utilizing Alfred as a Spotlight replacement, and essentially operate primarily from keyboard shortcut/Alfred “command line” operation. For me, this type of workflow means my hands remain mostly (and efficiently) in one place (home row of the keyboard), while my eyes rarely have to deviate from my workspace. But you may have talked about such setup in your initial Mac setup video, that’s next in my queue!
Hi Iskren. I did all of the things that you listed, or a variation, and I feel happier with my computer setup. I've been trying to make small changes in my life lately. Sometimes adding and sometimes taking away. Thank you for your help. Greetings from planet Earth. :-)
It’s always a pleasure to witness your tutorial video :) I like more visualize the folders in columns, in order to have the whole path in front of me. But for sure, having a desk with zero files/folders is very satisfying 😍 (I hope it lasts😂)
Did all these steps, right down to picking up your wallpaper pack. 😎 My computer doesn't stress me out anymore, thanks for the tips! The wallpapers really are great, too. You've got a good eye for photography.
This is the best video ever! In the part where you arrange the dock, I tried doing that before. And it felt too extreme. So I keep as minimal apps in the dock as possible, while keeping the ones that I actually use. And then I simply turn the hiding dock feature on.
Love it. Still don’t understand why people use or show the dock at all when you can easily launch apps through spotlight/Alfred/raycast. So I think the dock has no use and can go as well.
You need take into consideration some people are really not savvy about computers, specially older ones. I'm sure my mon for exemple would always forget the Spotlight shortcut, and if she doesn't see the dock with the app she wants open she won't remember how to do to find it. Another point is speed, some people may find faster to just click on the app at dock than typing CDM + Spacer bar + APP NAME + ENTER. Even with my 13" Macbook I can make my dock small and have a decent space to use my windows, and when I need focus on some job I simply maximize the app. For me it's work way better than hiding the dock (yeah I've tried it before)
Hi there, Seeing many “ minimalistic” and get organized videos, but not one mentioned an Automator Script called Folder Org (I can’t dint it anymore), therefore no link. What it does, if attached to any folder, like the desktop if a new file added it will create an folder with that day like 2023-03-15. Any files created that day at the location will be automatically moved into that folder. It a great way to organize downloads, items in the Finder. It can be attached to any folder. I am using that since 10.4 or around that time. The only disadvantage of the never version of Mac OS is, that Quicklook doesn’t show the content of the folder anymore.
How are you finding the iPad mini ? I’m thinking of replacing my iPad Pro with one as I don’t use it for anything particular, the size of the mini would be great for day to day notes and work.
Fantastic video as always. I used Vanilla before but now I think I’ll check out bartender! Debating on buying the wallpaper pack too, can’t wait to see an updated version of this!
You had mentioned in the past video or two that you use Lightroom and affinity photo. I’m curious what Light room workflows do you use that you still need to use Lightroom? You hinted that you would like to use a light room alternative and I wondered what function still have you tethered to Lightroom? I’m not speaking from a position of having a conflicting opinion, I often hear people talking of Lightroom alternatives. What about light room still has you sticking with it?
This isn't minimal at all. You don't need a large hideous dock using up your screen space when you already got spotlight. Installing a bunch of proprietary software that locks you in makes you a hostage.. And stacking a messy Desktop folder is called tidying. That mess shouldn't be there to begin with if you want to be minimal.
@@ThisIsE I have been following you since a while, the production quality, editing, small humour in scripting are amazing in your videos. I hope some day you would reach 10M subs. This is MrA over nd out ☺️

Glad to hear that Chris
This setup looks great. I recently started using Astirna New Tab and it has really helped me keep my tabs organized while working on my Mac.
By far the best tech space creator on the internet. You should have way more followers than everyone else! Thank you for what you do!
Thanks Paul 😊

Production is on another level Iskren! Pleasure to watch and listen. I’ll take this as a hint to tidy up my devices! 😉

Great notion and video, lots of people fancy minimalizing, few people actually do it, subscribe!
This gotta be one of the most underrated channels on RUclips!
Thank you 🙏🏻

Nice and minimal way to focus on the essential
Great Video! Always fun finding ways to minimalize, save space, and make things less cluttered and distracting.
Yes! Thank you!
Simple but very clean and useful tips, thanks E.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice stuff. I just realized how much stress all of the apps were causing me. Thank you so much :)
Happy to help!
Byw do you have smth like this for iPhone setup?
This is the best video ever! In the part where you arrange the dock, I tried doing that before. And it felt too extreme. So I keep as minimal apps in the dock as possible, while keeping the ones that I actually use. And then I simply turn the hiding dock feature on.
It’s really simple, Alfred, simplified.
Can you show how you keep your files organized?
Great video, I was cleaning my mbp while watching and it felt really good after.
I am sure it was satisfying 🙂
I always tried to find a perfect place to learn about the all the things about my mac. I didn't find it until this moment.
this channel is severely underrated
Thank you!
I like how you use safari 💪🏻
Props on everybody that doesn’t use chrome
helped a lot! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Thank you very much for the motivation. While watching your video I cleaned up my doc.
Love it. Still don’t understand why people use or show the dock at all when you can easily launch apps through spotlight/Alfred/raycast.

All UNIQ links are at the very top of the description.
Same. I get rid of the dock on every new MacBook right away

I LOVED this video, thank you!!
I'm so glad!
4:25. Is this for all apps and the above menu bar. You could possibly add/ remove anything?
Hi E! you should consider updating this video to include a minimal setup on Sequoia
I am 😊

Great tips. I just removed a pile of useless icons and cleaned up the Dock to show absolutely necessary apps only
Can you do a video on what software you’ve on your Mac or make a video on the Pocket app. It still confuses me how to use it on iPhone or iPad.
Very descriptive my friend. I don't see the best youtuber out there on your desktop 😂🤣 great job my friend.
Still waiting for the iPad mini review 🙌🏽🙌🏽
2:35 ok but how can you remove an app from the launchpad without uninstalling it?
I would recommend using App cleaner. Just deleting the app is not enough, there are usually still data left in the application support folder.
nice to know i am not the only minimalistic freak out there
Good video!! Waiting the same with iPhone and iPad 😊👍
I'll keep that in mind 🙂
How are you finding the iPad mini ? I’m thinking of replacing my iPad Pro with one as I don’t use it for anything particular, the size of the mini would be great for day to day notes and work.
I love the mini so far. I'll do a video on it soon.
Hey, what's your alternative app for affter effects?
Can you tell us about that blue chair you sit in while using your MBP? brand? where to buy? love your videos, subbed and liked.
Thanks for the sub! The chair is from IKEA.
Perfection 🙏🏻
Glad you think so!
How did you bind the launchpad? Which shortcut are you using?
Amazing videos!
Fantastic video as always. I used Vanilla before but now I think I’ll check out bartender! Debating on buying the wallpaper pack too, can’t wait to see an updated version of this!
Thanks Rohit!
you can remove spotlight and wifi icon without installing any third party apps.. just hold cmd + drag the icons from system menu...
0:44 Did you know that you could just drag out the icon and it would automatically remove
Everyone is crazy about minimal desks, setups and now operating systems 😀
It's the only way to perfection 🙂
@@ThisIsE true words :D
Thanks for this video!!! New Sub!
FYI there is a free alternative to Bartender called Dozer. There's another called Vanilla (I think) but I had a better experience with Dozer.

Glad you think so!
Can you please do this with your Ipad too?
Brilliant!
Great video! Have fun watching it although I don't own a mac😅
This made me feel instantly calm. And then I went and copied it all on my MacBook. 🤓
You can hold the command-key and then drag and re-arrange menu bar items. You can also remove items by dragging them out of the bar.
Except the list view in Finder, this is exactly the opposite of what I am doing 😂. Regardless - video was an absolute pleasure, as always 😉
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the minimalistic wallpaper on the Mac, but I don't have any money to buy😭
Sorted app > things.. and its cheaper too! :)
You deleted Spark! :( LOL!
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

literally my first comment on a celeb video... lol...
I am no celeb...but thank you 🙂

deleting fantastical ?? 😱😱😱

You crammed too many ads
Too minimal.
