I've been using a Mac for almost an year now and had no idea that some of these features exist. This video literally saved me tons of struggles! So good and useful! Thank you, Iskren!
Wow, I am blown away by the quality of your videos. As someone switching back to Mac for the first time in 12 years, these tutorials are pure gold! Thank you!! Going to binge watch many of yours now 🙂
I literally just got my MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro today - and this video immediately popped up when I opened RUclips. Lifesaver! I am also a brand new mac owner, never used one in my life so literally just learning everything. The firewall being disabled by default, that's crazy and not something I am used to, so thanks so much for that atleast! Edit: Just earned yourself a brand new subscriber good sir.
Why I get irritated ? You are the most underrated channel with worth so much of appreciation for your works behind each and every clip Good luck for great reach Love from India
Браво, страхотно видео! За човек, който от много време ползва уиндоус, имаше бая интересни неща! Радвам се, че има българи, които създават съдържание от най-висок клас. Успех!
Accidentally stumbled upon this video, and ended up saving it (for my mac coming in 2 weeks), subscribing to your newsletter and following all social! Great content.
If you are trying to get away from lightroom I highly recommend Capture One, way more powerful than Lightroom as you can pay once per version if you wish instead of a subscription. Also has integration with helicon focus
Using a Mac has always been a struggle for me... I bought a MacBook Pro 2019, base version, back in 2020 and I've barely used it because it was just a terrible experience... My PC's been giving me blue screens and Premiere now crashes from opening a new sequence so i had no choice but to order an M1 Ultra Mac Studio, but Bulgaria, I'm expecting it to arrive in 3 months (around September)... I'm so freaking scared of switching to Mac as my main machine but this video definitely made the fear a bit lighter! Thanks for the amazing tools and settings you showed in this video! I checked most boxes from it on my MacBook and, fingers crossed, it'll feel better the next time I travel!
I use an app called IntelliDock which hides the dock on mac when you put an app window over it and it and leaves the dock visible when nothing overlaps it. It's quite useful for getting some extra screen real estate.
Now that’s one comprehensive video. I’ve been a Mac user for 4 years now, and you still showed me something new. First video I have seen from you and subscribed instantly. Thank you, E!
Thanks for all these tips and apps! I downloaded Monitor Control because I bought a new LG 27UP850-W that doesn't support changing brightness and sound per default using the keyboard shortcuts. Now it does!!!
Have you tried Raycast? It is another Spotlight alternative, and personally I think it is quite good, and the free version also almost has no limitations to the functions. I basically have Raycast replacing my Spotlight, and Opt+Space is for Alfred 😁
The video is amazing! It’s so enjoyable, I love this type of videos and usually I know almost every app, but I will surely check on some of the apps you mentioned. Great editing as always!
Hey E - this video is awesome! I will get my new (first ever) MacBook Pro in the next few days - I'll definitely be copying a lot of your setup! Thank you! All the best, Rob in Switzerland.
Many thanks for such high-quality content. I cannot believe that Apple decided to leave the firewall switched off by default! Really enjoyed watching it. Already subscribed and liked 🚀
Good video, dude! I’ll have to check out some of those apps. One that I recently love is Paste. You can access history of your “copy” - I use it a lot, especially when I hit copy over something I needed from before. Worth it.
Great vid as always E. Just dropped you a shoutout on my video today too - these videos have been so helpful for me. Keep up being awesome - hi from London! Simon
Great overview, thank you! As you were mentioning that you hope for Affinity Lightroom - that’s Capture One. Less cluttered than LR, all the features, and maybe even better in their coloring. Also, you don’t have to pay for a subscription but can get a one-time version.
Hi, I like your videos. Thanks a lot, very uselful ! But what is it with you speed of speech delivery infos? Really!? Could you slow down. Many viewers are not native English speakers. Thanks
Thanks for sharing - One thing I miss is the transfer of the iTunes Music library. Do you have a good practice for that es well? Or someone of the community? THX
What you shouldn't do is install more apps to fix the problem (Clean my Mac). I say this because if you search for how to fix a slow Mac you're going to come up with all sorts of products that claim to do this. Cleaning apps, and maintenance apps, and things like that. You don't need any of those. As a matter of fact some of those will actually slow your Mac down more.
You are so very delightful Iskren. Found you as in the process for computer anew i.e PC Build or Macbook porty. With intel Raptor Lake on 2023 horizon Imay just sit tight for a PCbuild, but have to say your Delicious videos have me climbing the "Apple-Tree" for the portable Bag 2022 ;) . I am a Fine-Artist / illustrator and like yourself stack macro images,- these are large res files + pano files for Landscapes. Would you give the 16" 10-24core, 32GRam a solid build choice for smooth edits? or higher specs required in your creative experience so far? thank you and grateful - a wildchild from SA
Many of the settings, especially when it comes to personal information usually transfer with iCloud. For the rest, it usually doesn’t take that much time, especially if you have a quick procedure

This video is one stop for all the initial setup guide for new mac users like me. You just earned a sub.

My new 14 inch just shipped! I'll definitely reference this video when it gets here in a week. It's my first Mac since 2007.

Subscribed because I like the way you asked during the Zoom segment of the video lol. Also, I like the outline and pace of the video 👌
How the hell do you only have 66 k subscribers. Your videos are just done way to well.

Thank you!

Why did you switch back to using Spotlight!!? Just curious :) the video was awesome btw🔥
I don’t use most of the functionalities on Alfred so I didn’t find a reason to add yet another app

one of things that drive me crazy with iPhones and photos can I put to in the cloud and then delete if off the phone. and it will still be there.

Haha you got my subscription by constantly asking that stupid question that I could not really answer
Does it heat you up?, I also have the M1 Pro and sometimes it goes up to 60º Celsius / 140º Fahrenheit
That thumbnail is hot as always.
Much appreciated
Would it be possible to do the same kind of video but with Ventura ? I'm a bit lost with the new Settings or System Preferences "app" ? Thanks

Unfortunately I can’t share much Markus. Everything I have is subscription based so I don’t have to transfer anything.
Why not use Alfred ?
Nice, thank you for this!

It's bloody annoying to setup a new Mac, is there a way to save/export all these preferences and then import them on a new Mac?
Many of the settings, especially when it comes to personal information usually transfer with iCloud. For the rest, it usually doesn’t take that much time, especially if you have a quick procedure
Is it necessary to download anti-virus apps on mac ?

CleanMyMac is not really necessary for MacOS.
